For transaction to be confirmed in next block users always need to check mempool and add at that moment the highest fee, and if he does not want to risk sudden spikes in fees, maybe even add extra satoshi on highest fee.
You will almost always end up overpaying if you do this. Right now the unconfirmed transaction with the highest fee is over 800 sats/vbyte. If you matched this and added a bit more, you are ending up at something like 850 or 900 sats/vbyte. However, 45 sats/vbyte will get you within 1 MB of the tip, and 90 sats/vbyte will get you within 0.1 MB of the tip. Within 0.1 MB of the tip is almost always enough to guarantee being included in the next block, and works out 10 times cheaper than simply bidding higher than the current highest fee.

they only accept transactions that have a 0.0001BTC/KB fee and considering the fact that ViaBtc is not finding that many blocks it means nowadays...

I forgot about that important piece of information (10k satoshi minimum fee) so the transaction can have any chance of being accepted. As for the number of blocks mined by ViaBTC, I see that they are mostly in 5 place with 6-7% on a daily/monthly basis - it's not spectacular, but it's not bad either.

It seems ViaBTC free accelerator is not working today "Submissions are beyond limit. Please try later." maybe there are many users who experienced the same issue as yours and use the accelerator.

This accelerator has been active for years and you still haven't figured out how it works in the free version? In order for the transaction to succeed, it needs to be submitted at full hour, and even then it is big question will you be able to be lucky to get in first 100 for that hour.

they only accept transactions that have a 0.0001BTC/KB fee and considering the fact that ViaBtc is not finding that many blocks it means nowadays if your transaction already has that much fee it will go through in less than a day. so i think it is pretty pointless to try and submit anything there with current mempool state.

Can wait couple of days. Really appreciate you helping me. Great if you inform me when it´s working.

Your transaction already receives 4 confirmations.

Next time you just need to keep submitting the transaction on the ViaBTC accelerator because they only have "100 FREE transactions per hour" above the 100 you will receive the error "Beyond the limit"(Includes all users who use the free service).

Can i shut down the computer and start electrum again tomorrow?
Yes, you don't need to keep your computer open once the transactions are being broadcasted to the network.

Must i do something for you to submit it to ViaBTC?

No, the TXID is enough but right now it seems it's not working and it's beyond the limit may be many people use it today. But I keep checking it from time to time.

If you can't wait you can use their paid service it's just optional if you are in a hurry.

Your transaction still unconfirmed according to block explorer and there are many unconfirmed transactions today and increasing.

It is due to current spikes

The issue here is network congestion.

Anyway, let me try to submit it to ViaBTC free transaction accelerator and rebroadcast it. Maybe it can help to accelerate your transaction.
I did about a week ago same procedure, it was finished in an hour. I am a beginner at this, so it´s not easy. Appreciate yours  and the others help. Must i have the computer and electrum on for maybe a day or more, can i shut down the computer and start electrum again tomorrow? Must i do something for you to submit it to ViaBTC?

I have two transactions currently stuck in the network, one going into an Electrum wallet and one going out.  I sent bitcoin from that wallet using a 75sats/byte fee about a half hour ago, and it's still sitting there.

OP, this has nothing to do with Electrum and I don't know if you're aware of that or not.  The network has been pretty congested for at least a few days now.

You will have to wait a little bit more for a confirmation or try using RBF (Replace By Fee) or CPFP (Child Pays For Parents, if you are sending the transaction to an address you own) in your transactions (basically, pay more fees to try making it confirm faster).
Yep, good advice.  It's weird, we usually see bitcoin acceleration services popping up at times like this but I haven't seen any lately.  I know lots of them are scams, but last time it was really bad there was at least one miner who was helping people out (IIRC).

If you can't wait for your transaction you can use the paid service from ViaBTC here https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator

Done rebroadcasting your TXID to other pools.

That's probably because the mempool spiked (a lot of new transactions) and fees are bearing the 70+ sat/byte now as you can see in this graph[1], while yours is 65 sat/byte.

You will have to wait a little bit more for a confirmation or try using RBF (Replace By Fee) or CPFP (Child Pays For Parents, if you are sending the transaction to an address you own) in your transactions (basically, pay more fees to try making it confirm faster). If that's what you want, I can give you more information about it.

Hello.

I tried to send BTC from electrum to another one of my wallets but unfortunately, the transaction has been stuck at 'unconfirmed' for the last six hours. When i 'view on block explorer', this shows up:
https://blockstream.info/tx/91e2abd8d91eb3870446ac7e427708f1d6fb2bc08124bfd55963347f948f056b .

The transaction ID is : 91e2abd8d91eb3870446ac7e427708f1d6fb2bc08124bfd55963347f948f056b

If anyone could help me out or at least let me know what is going on, i would really appreciate it.

Thanks.
