basically you create a new wallet from File > new/restore and then choose the wallet with 2FA and enter your seed and check the box for removing 2FA. this way you will generate the 2 key sets required for spending and you will no longer need to connect to TrustedCoin servers (you won't have 2FA anymore).
The specific option to choose is:

Wallet with two factor authentication:

I already have a seed:

"DISABLE":

That will create the wallet that no longers require a connection to TrustedCoin servers to be able to send your coins... IMPORTANT NOTE: As Pooya said, if you do this, you will NOT have 2FA functionality anymore!

Help! The label electrum disappeared from the computer. I downloaded version 3.2.3 the seed did not use. label appeared *electrum-3.2.3. exe*.Enter password go to BTC in place, only i can not withdraw now. Writes #Requesting account info from TrustedCoin server...try again. I will be grateful for the help!

do what @cissrawk said about VPN since it is most probably your connectivity to TrustedCoin server that has issues. but in the end if nothing worked and you couldn't fix it, don't worry, there is still a simple way of recovering all your funds and that is using your Seed if you have backed it up. basically you create a new wallet from File > new/restore and then choose the wallet with 2FA and enter your seed and check the box for removing 2FA. this way you will generate the 2 key sets required for spending and you will no longer need to connect to TrustedCoin servers (you won't have 2FA anymore).

Try this I can not send bitcoins from my wallet, based on that, you can try use tor proxy or you can try use VPN for that, because someone said if he have problem with his connection and he fixed with using vpn
FIXED THAT!
I couldn't reach the TrustedCoin API via my WiFi network! (I guess there are some new restrictions in Russia or smth like that)
I tried VPN connection, https://api.trustedcoin.com/ became available, and also I was able to preview and send again!

Drag the Electrum.app icon into your Applications folder. This appears to the left of the window under Favorites. Open the Applications folder and double-click the Electrum icon.
Quite often, it is this step that gets people... you need to drag the Electrum.app into your Applications folder to get it to "install".

If you simply open (double-click) the downloaded ".dmg" file and then double-click the Electrum icon, it will run Electrum... but when you restart your computer, the .dmg file won't be "mounted" (open) anymore... and you won't find the Electrum app. You would need to manually open the ".dmg" file again, and then open Electrum again... and do that every time you restarted.

Better to drag the .app into your Applications to install it Wink

I wish to SINCERELY THANK YOU - - each one who responded!  You were right - - I simply reinstalled it and it is back to normal.  I have been using computers since 1990, and this was the first time I had ever seen an app I had installed DISAPPEAR completely from the computer.  The only thing I've done differently now is clicked "Keep in dock".  Maybe that is what I neglected to do last time.  Once again, THANK YOU generously to everyone who responded.  Much appreciated.

This mostly happens to Mac users after they install and then reboot. The Electrum icon has vanished because you did not follow the correct way how to install the Electrum in Mac PC.

Like the other said reinstall it again then follow the guide from here Beginners guide to Electrum it should be ok now if you follow it correctly.

An application usually does not disappear without someone removing it.

Correct, an application wont really disappear that easily after a restart unless it do have a deepfreeze on Drive C: then its possible but since it had mentioned that the wallet or electrum folder is still there then its quite odd why it do automatic delete other files. Re-installation will solve this one for sure.

An application usually does not disappear without someone removing it.

You might try to start electrum via the terminal:
Code:
open -a electrum

If this doesn't work and you can't locate the executable, do what jackg advised and reinstall it.
But this does of course require you to either have the mnemonic seed phrase (12/24 words) OR the wallet file (usually inside /home/USER/.electrum/wallets) and the password (if existing).

Just reinstlal electrum and your wallet should return.

If you wrote down the seed it gave you (a set of words) then your wallet is completely safe and there is no need to worry (provided it came from electrum.org).

Just reinstall the wallet.

In the electrum data folder (~/.electrum) there should be a folder called "wallet" and your wallet will be in there.

I was using a software wallet from Electrum.org, which displayed a beautiful atomic symbol on the dock at the bottom of my Mac screen.  When clicking on the symbol icon, it would display the window showing balances, history, etc.  Then upon restarting the computer, it disappeared!  It is not on the dock.  It is not in Launcher.  It is not in Applications.  I found the electrum folder in Finder, but that only consists of a lot of documentation - - no app, no wallet.  Where is it?  How to restore it?  And how to prevent it from disappearing again?
