When I restore with the seed, again no history is displayed.  I know there are old transactions in "mine".  Any thoughts?  I'm on an old version 2.8.3 of Electrum.  What am I doing wrong?
Export the public key as follows:
open your "mine" wallet then go to >> Wallet >> Master Public Keys >> copy the text that starts with xpub or scan it using your phone.
check it on online electrum wallet or any block explorer.

if your funds are safe then

back up all your wallet files to an external USB drive. Then download, verify, and upgrade your Electrum version and try opening the wallets again.

You should tell much clearer what you expect from an Electrum that's offline.
While offline Electrum is great for signing transactions, if it's indeed on a computer that's always offline, if you ever go online with it, it defeats the purpose.
Then, if Electrum is offline, you cannot expect it to get the history of the transactions, since it should need an online server for that.
Since you had history, that wallet was not always offline.

All in all, I think that you're doing something wrong and you may have not understood that the money is not in the wallet, the coins are "on the network" and the wallet either needs to be online to "see" them, either works without, only for signing transactions (but for that you need an online watch only wallet too).

You have to sync your Electrum wallet with the network first.
The version of Electrum he is using will never sync with the network since versions older than 3.3.0 are prevented from doing so to protect against vulnerabilities.

The first thing to do OP is to back up all your wallet files to an external USB drive. Then download, verify, and upgrade your Electrum version and try opening the wallets again.

When I sign in to "mine", electrum just goes away.  No history is displayed.
What does 'goes away' means

You have to sync your Electrum wallet with the network first. The sync process is very fast with Electrum. If you don't sync your wallet, how do you see History of that wallet?

Additionally, when you recover your wallet from seed, you will lose label of address, transactions in History.

Hey guys, I have been away from this stuff for quite a while, so please be kind.  I have electrum offline wallet on a PC.  I have 4 wallets:  default, "mine", test1 and test2.  I can see history in default and test1.  Test2 had no activity so the history is blank.  When I sign in to "mine", electrum just goes away.  No history is displayed.  When I restore with the seed, again no history is displayed.  I know there are old transactions in "mine".  Any thoughts?  I'm on an old version 2.8.3 of Electrum.  What am I doing wrong?
