I am just shooting in the dark here, but did you use old legacy addresses or SegWit addresses when you created the wallet? You might have restored the legacy addresses and not the SegWit addresses?

Also check your firewall settings to see if anything is being blocked that might prohibit access to those servers. What was the result of the Block explorer search?  Huh Huh Huh

If it is showing a red circle in your connection status maybe try adjusting some settings with your firewall and if that didn't work try looking at the anti-virus you have installed as sometimes they block the connection of Electrum prohibiting you to connect with its servers. Also try and restore your seed in other devices first, this way you will know if your pc really has the problem with the servers or not.

Try to create a new wallet (not restoring a wallet), just a new one and see If it gets connected to a server or not just to confirm that it has nothing to do with the current wallet.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but this should be completely unrelated to the seed used.
The only difference between a completely 'fresh' wallet and his old one is the seed.

In both case he is trying to connect with the same client and a 'new wallet' (at least a new wallet file, with the seed being the only difference).

@OP:
When were you able to properly connect using electrum the last time ?
May i ask from which country you are ? As far as i know, people from russia often do have problem using electrum because of restricted internet traffic.

Take any of the addresses you have and that has bitcoins in them and paste them here (If you see any balance, then you still have your bitcoins): https://www.blockchain.com/explorer

If trying what ETFbitcoin suggested didn't work. Try to create a new wallet (not restoring a wallet), just a new one and see If it gets connected to a server or not just to confirm that it has nothing to do with the current wallet.

@OmegaStarScream
I tried with different servers but still not connecting.
And btw how to check the funds?

@bob123
Yes I am using 3.2.3.
Changing the server does not help  Angry . And yes I do see a couple of addresses from my old wallet which should mean it is restored correctly.

Thanks

What version of electrum are you using ? The latest is 3.2.3.
If you are using an older version, get the latest from the official site (https://electrum.org/#download).

You might also try to change the server you are connected to (Click on the red circle at the bottom right and choose a different server).

Can you verify that you have restored your wallet correctly ?
Do you see the same type of addresses (e.g. starting with either 1.., 3.. or bc1..) ?

It's just a connection problem probably, as long as you can see the funds in a block explorer, you're fine. Try to click on the red icon on the bottom right => Server => Uncheck 'Select server automatically'. Find another server on that list, right-click 'choose as server' and see If that works.
