Update: nmap -p N 10.0.0.2 reports that both ports are open, where N = {5001, 5002}.  Thus, I suspect the forward DNS is firewalled.  I had this problem when I setup SSH, I could only logon outside my home network by using IPv6.  However, I have tried to configure electrumX with IPv6 and that did not work at the time, but I may have changed reconfigured other options since.  I will retry IPv6.

From what I have read in Unix and Linux System Admin Handbook, it sounds as though I may need to run my own nameserver*.  At the moment. I have registered tetradrachm.net.  I get my IP (v4) when I ping my FQDN, however electrumX "resolves"** my FQDN if I associate it with my internal IP.  ElectrumX fails to resolve my FQDN when set to my global IP 24.17.229.234 in /etc/hosts (my global IP is in theory dynamic, but fairly static from my experience).  Also, I am a unsure from reading my handbook whether I need the subdomain icarus or whether the second-level domain tetradrachm.net would suffice.

/etc/electrumx.conf
REPORT_HOST = icarus.tetradrachm.net
/etc/hosts,
10.0.0.2 => icarus.tetradrachm.net\
/etc/hostname
icarus.tetradrachm.net

**lame delegation??

On all my platforms, electrum spots icarus.tetradrachm.net, but no version can connect.  After some time, the server disappears from the list. It reappears when I reboot my server.  Thank you in advance.
