I had a similar issue and simply had to close and restart Electrum and the balance was there.  Hopefully the same works for you.

I had a similar problem!  I logged on today after using my wallet as normal the day before and it was logged out  it gave me the option to create a wallet   view a wallet  or   restore from seed.   I restored from seed   and then  entered password.  When my wallet opend up there is  not information  Blank history  no Receiving addreses  nothing but a  message in the console tab about donations    the green light in the bottom corner is on and it seems to be synced.   I was able to open  transactions  i made and dep to that wallet  and the balances still seem to be there?Huh any help with this would be great.  please let me know what other info you may need

Hi all,

i forgot my Electrum password, so i decide to restore the wallet from seed.
the restore went good but the balance and history where put to zero and i strangely i had
addresses beginning with 3 which are multisig, but i did not make a multisig wallet.

after the restore i got normal addresses beginning with 1 but all my coins where gone.
i'm not that worry cause i put only a few mBit to test but i'd like to understand what happen.
Can i really trust this Electrum Wallet or should i better get an other one ?

cheers

If I understand correctly, after the restore you had both multisig addresses beginning with 3 and standard addresses beginning with 1 ??
can you post a screenshot ?

Make sure you are choosing "standard wallet" when restoring, if you did not have a multisig wallet.

Do you happen to know which specific address that you sent funds to were? Have you checked on a block explorer to see if the coins are still showing up as being unspent?

Is that specific address showing up in electrum? (That you sent funds to). If not then one of two things most likely happened, 1- you input the incorrect seed causing different addresses to be recovered or 2- you had previously funded an address after more then 20 addresses from the first one and did not change the gap settings when you restored the wallet.
