Ok, I was told the problem was that I was mining statum on GUIminer which is apparently broken. Now I'm mining at host mining.eligius.st with port 8337 pass 1. Does anyone else have experience with eligius? If I'm mining at 125 Mhash/s, how long will it take to appear on the eligius pool statistics.

Er...you're doing something wrong.  Took me less than an hour to appear on the stats at less than 500MH/s.

On your user stats page it tell you when you'll get paid, based on your average mining rate.

I'm betting you left the {} round your Bitcoin address when you set up your miner?

no, I have my address in the Username without the {}. The host I'm using is stratum.mining.eligius.st and the port I'm using is 3334. Thats correct right?

What are people thoughts on Eligius and how long does it take to be logged into the pool statistics. I've been mining nonstop for about a week with 2x Radeon 4870 mining at 150 Mhash/s and have probably contributed slightly over 10000 shares and yet theres no mention of when I will be paid. Thoughts?

Try bitminter instead.

Gave up on that one a while ago.  Was running against 50BTC since they seemed to pay out fairly well.  Decided to try something different for a while.  Smiley

Besides, it looks like on average Eligius will net me more than I was getting through any of the others.

I started out with eligius, but when I saw my share count go down after having to stop my rig for maintenance, I bailed (in addition to him calling me a pool hopper). It didn't seem fair that all of that work went for nothing, On bitminter, you can shutdown for an entire night and not lose anything.

How did it go down? I thought it just goes from unpaid shares to shelved shares (and vice versa) depending on the frequency of blocks found.  Are you sure they didn't just go to shelved?

Well, I'm not too worried about that.  I've got multiple different miners running on separate machines, and I make sure that there is always at least one of them running during any maintenance work I may be doing.  Smiley

About the only way I'd have none of them running at one time is if both locations lost their internet connections, which are about 40 miles apart and on different ISPs.  Cheesy

Just wondering if anyone else is having problems seeing stats on Eligius.  The stats page for my address takes forever to load, then when it does finish, none of the graphs are there.

Just tried going to the Blocks stats page, and it's also slow to load.

Hmm, going back to just eligius.st loads fine.  Seems it is anything under eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats that is a problem.

Try bitminter instead.
