Missed this one Grin but for all I can see Elon Musk was simply giving a voice to those aggrieved Binance customers by trying to get Binances position on the holdup which disrupted Doge withdraws...  and CZ should have referred him(Elon) to Binance who should have handed this better than he did which made this actually look shaddy with his responses. Anyway these two need to know that they are on the same side, team crypto...otherwise this is water under the bridge for now.

As they say, all's well that ends well.

It seems the issue between the two is through.

Indeed, CZ's reaction was brought about by Elon's wrong choice of word. Easily triggered like his birth country's CCP, CZ immediately got himself into a defensive stance rather than merely addressing the issue. Well, Elon's way of raising the issue itself had a little hint of accusation. Both have issues apparently.

Meanwhile, what's now left unresolved is the main issue. Doge holders are still waiting for their funds back.

as CZ himself says in the tweet, KYC process on binance is tedious.

Whatever the public opinion is(CZ definitely went off-topic), and while he's definitely going to get some hate from Elon/Tesla fanboys, this is freakin great marketing for Binance. Nothing's going to get you publicity than the cult leader being low-key attacked on social media lol.

This will clearly not be great marketing for Binance. The regulators are after them because Binance avoids jurisdictional compliance. They are also accused of insider trading and market manipulation. CZ does not need to give more reasons for regulators to send them a cease and desist order. Also, why did this need to come from Elon to fix the problem? They do not care about their users? It is a form of manipulation?

Doge transactions stuck for over a year? And Binance not paying out? How have I not heard of this? Naughty CZ! Surely all the wealth they have they can buy the Doge now and make those customers whole while fixing the issues with Doge devs?

Anyway. Two of the biggest egos in crypto space get snarky with each other. Just the latest chapter in cryptolandia, where exchanges no longer need to be professional as long as their CEOs meme it out on Twitter.

Why are we surprised?

if the owner of binance behaves like this just when he is being questioned by an influential billionaire, can you imagine what the behavior of the owner of binance will be like when he is being questioned by an ordinary person? and what does binance's owner hope to teach his support staff when he shows this kind of bad behavior?

None of this has anything to do with Bitcoin though, does it?

Shitcoin central (major Cryptsy déjà vu but I digress) Binance in a spat with a mega shitcoining troll. Should be on the altcoin boards IMO.

At least when CZ / Binance sent out all that doge people could still drive home:

Odd that Elon is talking about some other businesses software issues so soon after they had a few of their own.
Almost like he is doing some damage control for Tesla by pointing out software failures by other people.

Much like @pooya87 it's just a shitcoin promoter worrying about his shitcoin*

Elon just got scared that the shitcoin he promotes and regularly attempts to pump and dump could be dumped hard whenever the smallest issues arise like a bit shitcoin exchange has troubles with that shitcoin. Normal pump and dumper behavior here.
CZ's response was very on-point, Elon shouldn't have pointed out the "shadiness" of their business publicly Cheesy

He's scared that he's hodl Doge will dump due and he will be late by the dumpsters that's why he post that just to create small relief from the people who already worried about the situation of Doge on binance.

Good to see how CZ answer professionally and its so funny how he burn Elon by returning a sarcastic question to him  Cheesy.

All in the matter is that CZ took the issue personally. For example, when you do not want to answer a specific thing, the easiest thing is to attack your opponent’s points, and thus this confirms that either Binance failed and tried to hide the problem or a personal reason between Elon Musk and CZ.

In general, Binance has become more concerned with profit than good dealing with customers, so expect anything from them.
There would be no sentiments like thes if Binance had just given out their best service on where someone couldnt really make out some complaints or negative sentiments and just like others been saying that Binance had become unreliable which is actually on point.

Doesnt actually matter about these eerings but its true that you do able to know on whose the one does have short temper.haha.

It's a very interesting behavior CZ showed in his response with Elon's inquisitive nature. He could have just ignored the issue and let the Binance twitter handle answer for him, but he really felt the need to bring up a topic that is completely irrelevant to the issue at hand. Binance has become unreliable for the past few months and a lot of issues have occurred in the past wherein similar circumstances were observed (trades frozen during a sharp dump, anyone?)

Whatever the case between these two is, I still don't feel bringing up a topic unrelated to what's being discussed is a no no. I'm not a fan of either of them, but you can see who has temper issues.

I remember exchanges used the term maintenance for certain coins so the users can't able to withdraw those coins and even myself have been in that situation while waiting for days and weeks so we can take this same as the maintenance. Cheesy By the way who cares about Doge after it becomes a puppy just to play with Elon whenever he got bored! Tongue

I am not a fan of Elon but it was about time someone talked about the Binance-Dogecoin fiasco. The jerks at Binance don't want to admit that It was their mistake.

Like how do you expect someone who transferred attempted to transfer 3,000,000 DOGE (~13,000 USD) about a year ago to another address he doesn't control to refund 3,000,000 DOGE valued today at (~660,000 USD)?

He went off topic because he knows it was their mistake. He just doesn't want to admit.

I, too, am not a fan of Elon nor of his favorite shitcoin. And, as pointed out by sheenshane, his choice of word was perhaps inappropriate if his sole intention was only to ask a proper response from CZ about the issue. But as the owner of the platform involved in this fiasco, the least he could do is to provide a clear explanation. Whatever Elon's motive is, it is true that this is a significant problem and that it has remained unsolved for quite a while already.

It's not that he wants to really know what goes on in the doge blockchain. Elon purposely ask the kind of question to shame CZ for the DOGE problem. I do hope that problem will be resolved though. Elon is very much a hostile character in crypto for awhile he is also making it popular.

Nothing seems to be fud right now in crypto since the market still looks good. BTC hits all-time high in Turkey. So even if Elon does that over and over, it may not really have effect these days.

I tend to agree and it says "what happened here" trying to change the topic so that the Doge that has stuck issues a year ago and doesn't become the center of the topic.  I'm not in favor of Elon but I think he is trying to raise the issue because he is also a Doge holder and on behalf of other Dogecoin holders.

I think the word used by Elon Musk "Shady" was triggered by CZ to find another issue towards Elon Musk.  Instead of solving the problem, I      understand why it seems CZ looking for some troubles towards Elon and other Dogecoin holders.

฿itcoin for all, All for ฿itcoin.
Unfortunately, though, the CEO's response went apparently out of context. CZ was obviously irritated with Elon calling him out. After once again blaming Doge for the problem, CZ brought the issue of Tesla's recall of almost 12,000 vehicles.

I was really caught by surprise on how CZ responded to a legitimate issue regarding Doge withdrawals in Binance. Other than the fact that Binance is the only exchange having this problem, which could mean Doge is not really the root cause here, how on earth was Tesla's problems related to Binance's Doge withdrawal problems? CZ couldn't take the issue objectively!

It's well known that Elon is supporting Dogecoin. So it would not be a surprise if he checks now and then Dogecoin Reddit or similar, and, probably also since he knows that any tweet is an advertising, he asked this... legitimate question.
Binance is clearly in difficulty now with Dogecoin, CZ is probably angry because of this and he didn't want to play along in this advertising charade, especially as it's clearly a bug at Binance side and it makes them look bad. Of course, CZ reaction was inappropriate, I don't want to make him look less guilty, but this is how I see the situation.

Both of them are just shitcoin promoting scammers, so I am not really surprised with both Binance and Tesla having their own issues they like to put under the carpet.
CZ even called for strict global cryptocurrency regulations (typical communist mantra) and he said that he will donate 99% of his (legal) wealth, but he failed to mentioned how much he has that is unreported Wink
Hypocrite.

Well, it's the same person who wants to rollback bitcoin after their system's negligence.
I bet he also wanted to make his own better version of bitcoin, after he cloned ethereum and made coin that is even more centralized, because of ''lower fees'' right Cheesy

Limited in number. Limitless in potential.
He/they just don't accept the fact that it's their fault, blaming their users who just withdraw those doge a year ago.

His respond says it all on what kind of person he is in regards for the problem he's/they're facing to, and how irrelevant it is to the main issue/tweet. Well, it's the same person who wants to rollback bitcoin after their system's negligence.

This all started when CoinDesk tweeted one of its published article involving Binance and its CEO, CZ. The article was about Binance seeking investments from sovereign wealth funds.

Elon Musk replied to CoinDesk's tweet by calling out CZ over the issue of Doge withdrawals on Binance.

https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1463085111600205825

At first, it was the official Binance Twitter account that responded to Elon's tweet. The response attached a thread also by Binance explaining the issue, basically pointing to the Doge upgrade as the root cause of the problem.

https://twitter.com/binance/status/1463094150828412933

To which Elon also responded with a couple of tweets. The second of which attached the response of Dogecoin Developers over the Binance situation.

https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1463098791414882304

As if Binance's response to Elon wasn't enough, CZ himself made another response.

https://twitter.com/cz_binance/status/1463098640319217670
