Most of these are from airdrops, they create a token to distribute in exchange for your emails you get their token, they get your email, they sold your emails and your data and you have tokens that will never have value because they were not created to be in exchange but for your email and you will only know that after a few months, and you are still hoping it will have values in the future.
That is why my friends told me that modern airdrops are a scam, never thought that data mining in this day and age has been this big. This is crazy because they might be the reason for your spams when you are unaware of where you use your emails, the best thing to do is to check your emails vulnerability, there was a site that I used back then but I forgot the name. Another way to combat this is to have a throw away email that you will use for the purpose of this kind of things.

That's what I'm talking about. Stealing various important data of crypto users using the name of Airdrop is not a new strategy of scammers. I have seen many airdrop participants being forced to kyc to get tokens, so that the personal information of crypto users can be stolen.

If they can sell information like your email, think about what they can do with your kyc document. They can also sell your Kyc documents to criminals so that they can use your information illegally. So of course everyone should be careful in giving their sensitive information on any website.

Owners of various websites sell our email and other personal data to scammers. And using that data, scammers spread such scams. So you need to refrain from sharing your important data on any unknown website. In order to collect such data, they often offer various free airdrop and the data of those who participate in that airdrop is sold. Because of Elon Musk's involvement with crypto, scammers are trying to scam people using his name.

A legit giveaway, will not send their offer through emails to spam people if you receive a giveaway from a site that you did not subscribe to, do not believe it, and hit the spam button right away, it will save yourself from getting scam and it will save others too, because those emails will be marked spam, once many people who received it do the same thing.
Received this one on my giveaway email. I don't know how they've got my email to get into their spam but I made sure that what they are going to send to me next time is going to land on the spam folder. Good thing that there are still people fighting the good fight. And to every user especially the newbies, your greed will be your downfall and if you click on this email and got your funds stolen then you deserve what is coming to you.

Thats right less information less chance of being under scam giveaway. Its also your choice if you would believe a poor line like this, 5000 btc come on, Elon can give more if he wants to do a live and big giveaway.

Avoid such link on some browser chances that are those links are malicious and can steal information easily. Better follow or ask them directly for giveaway cause impersonators are really good actors.

In the form of phishing, everything will be done in any way, including email, which we often use spam email, therefore I think we should know how to avoid this, now the name Tesla continues to use to believe it and it's all under the control of people same I think so with many who catch with the name Tesla as well as with his fake giveaway.

As far as possible with the word GIVEAWAY, we must avoid it, even we often learn from the internet that the official Tesla never gives any giveaway, therefore we must understand that this is a fraud in many ways that occur.

It's good that you did not post the link but obviously, before you can claim the giveaway you have to send them gas fees to claim their giveaway, this is how they do that giveaway, you have to send first, there was a time this was so popular that you can find on Twitter, Youtube they are even hacking channels with millions of subscribers.
It will continue because so many newbies who just came here do not know this trick unless they asked old-timers..

Well, a lot of times it does not even work like that...

The people will send out 1000s of Phishing emails and then once you click on the link.. it redirect you to a webpage where your email address are flagged as a "green" target for the next round of Phishing attacks. So what they do with the first email is to find people that are gullible enough to click on links and with that they know those people are "active" targets.

Once they determined that, you get bombarded with "specific" attacks to extract more information from you... for the final attack. The final attack will have a lot of detailed information about you.... and you will think that it is a legitimate "giveaway" personalized for yourself. (Mr. X ... you have won a iPhone X.... can we send it to addres xxxxxxxxx .. you just have to cover the courier cost of X amount.....)  Roll Eyes
