I have heard that Andrew Yang is pro-Bitcoin, but he has hardly any chance of qualifying for the Democrat nomination. IMO, it is going to be another establishment candidate this time. I can think of a few names, but Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris and Joe Biden are having the maximum probability. I just hope that Biden wins the nomination, as the other two are outright lunatics.

OWNR - Store all crypto in one app.
Elon is just trying to hype on it coz it's a trend.
We can't easily say it unless he said so, well bitcoin is indeed an amazing thing no wonder why it is accepted and adopted by different countries. Its good to see that a person like him will become interested and concern about bitcoin.

From what I see he doesn't support him for being pro-Bitcoin.
Also from what I see this Yang guy is not old and not a politician. So unfortunately his chances for becoming US president are disappointingly small...
We don’t discuss who can become president. I think, regardless of who is related to cryptocurrency, you should pay more attention to Ilon Mask. Because this guy is successful, he believes in the success of bitcoin like me.Perhaps this paradigm will be followed by the next President. No matter who he is.

Although Musk is a supporter of cryptocurrency, he is not supporting Yang just because he is pro-Bitcoin, I'm pretty sure that this is something and the end of the list of reasons why he chose to support him. Which makes this essentially non-news - this doesn't concern crypto directly, and Musk is just a rich guy, one out of many. I know that people are hungry for some news now, but this doesn't mean we need to spend our attention on anything that has the slightest hints of being relevant to crypto.

I would like to know whether you support Andrew Yang? Elon Musk usually likes to have fun with everyone and who knows whether he is not trolling here, he is intelligent and there is no doubt about that but during April fools he tweeted that he is supporting doge coin and that boosted its price and he did it for fun, who knows whether he is doing any prank here supporting Yang, i do not have any opinion towards Yang and hence i am not going to comment about him and his chance on winning the election.

I don't genuinely think that Elon Musk supports Yang because Yang himself is a pro-bitcoin, but rather due to the latter's interests being somewhat similar to what Musk have in mind. At first I though Elon is doing it for the meme, but after reading more on this it became clear that Elon wanted someone who's an innovator like him to sit for the next POTUS. Well sadly though, Yang is not a politician, and seems to not have any solid disposition yet to become the next POTUS. Odds of him entering the slate of hopefuls is extremely low at this point, so the US will be stuck with the same old dudes again.

Don't you think, Elon Musk has much better chances doing that himself? Not that he should, politics sucks, but this person you describe is like him as well (and therefore not a candidate).

I doubt if Elon Musk's decision to back him has anything to do with him being pro-Bitcoin. Elon Musk has indicated before that he has not invested any money into Bitcoin, other than some Bitcoin that someone gave to him as a experiment.

So why would Elon Musk support a pro-Bitcoiner, if he has almost no bitcoins? I think Elon Musk just supports this, because he is a pioneer and he has a history with "new" payment networks.   Wink

Not bad having cryptocurrency been daily pushed towards adoption. I really doubt Yang is going to be nominated. Nevertheless, with him or without him, we are still going to mainstream adoption, it's a factor of time, one can't suppress the truth forever.

In the case of Andrew Yang. the image that is on the BBC website, see the link of image:

US election 2020: Which Democrat will take on Trump in 2020?

mirrors exactly how hard it will be for Andrew Yang to beat these all candidates. Talking about he is Pro-bitcoin, this is something very good, will bring more exposure to bitcoin

A 44 year old Asian looking democrat. People would never vote for him and would be a disaster for democrat if they made him run.
Racism has always been a big factor for presidential elections. And Trump is still the favorite for next president.
Though in real, US needs an open and intelligent person like yang if they really want to make America great again.

This is the opportunity we all have to clap on the government to allow the use or to recognize the true power of cryptocurrency and the power of the mainstream of the Blockchain "Bitcoin". For Ellon M to support the candidate will send a great signal to the opponent and by coming says or weeks, we will see some direct and indirect move of the government to consider cryptocurrency.
Wait, wait, at first if any famous figure or businessman supports bitcoin or cryptocurrencies that's because to get some more attention or he/she is very interested in profit and those words are lies on both cases. Also what kind of true power do governments have to recognize? They know well what's bitcoin, it's potential and etc but they will make actions according to their strategy and not to what some people wants. And blockchain technologies are already integrated in a lot of services and it keeps to continue, even from governments.

As President, I will …

Is it worth reading further, knowing that his chances are zero?

With the same expectation of success we can hope for one of the Libertarian Party's presidential candidates winning the elections. Only, in my opinion, if a Libertarian was elected it would be better for Bitcoin community overall.

I guess Elon Musk itself foresees bitcoin as one of the leading digital assets that will be used in the future. Elon Musk is a very futuristic person and even his ideas are revolutionary in terms of transport, alternative power source and many more. Another thing which is very beneficial to use bitcoin users is that Elon Musk is one of the most look at personalities in the world and his support to bitcoin could also bring great impact to the adoption of bitcoin in the future.
