Please sir, I ask that you accept this bitcoin which fluctuates in value 50% every week and which hardly anyone spends because they believe the value will go up forever.

Does this really belong in the speculation forum?

If a business uses a Bitcoin processor like Bitpay they Bitcoins convert to cash right away.  There is no speculation.

What I found gets businesses interested is contacting them with an offer to resell their products in Bitcoin. Of course, you should only do this if you have the intent and ability to follow through.

Whether they ultimately accept or not, about 1 in 5 businesses will take the opportunity to ask about Bitcoin. Often they're interested from seeing it in the news but don't have the time to research / implement it themselves. Or they're conservative and don't want to take a risk on new systems; but they're happy for someone else to take that risk so they can gauge the market.

don't send e-mail spam, thats not cool.

1) Go to buy a 10$ item
2) before you pay ask them if they accept bitcoin
3) bla bla bla bla bla <- try to keep this short.
4) pay with VISA

Well if they are accepting it, then they are also speculating, unless they convert it right away. But if they are a biz that is more service or high profit items such as food. They might hold onto it. I know if I was a doctor or dentist I would accept it for service but not for items such as crowns but for other services yes. Isn't that the point to get other people to suck it all up so the value goes up.

Emailing businesses is incredibly inefficient.  You're conversion rate is below 1%.  And that's doing good.  You'd have better luck personally visiting and talking with 10 business owners about Bitcoin.  It's all about relationships. Just advice from one who has pounded the pavement, B2B, more than I care to remember.   Wink

Accepting Bitcoin is basically almost free through bitpay. So what we need to do each is. Email 100 local businesses around you and ask them if they accept Bitcoin, dont sell it to them, Just ask them and if they reply no, then just say ok thank you... Once one place does the owner of other businesses will see that and they will think they might be missing out on something.. People are hard to change unless they see someone else doing it. So I  think if we wanna see bitcoin to the moon, we need to help it out!
