Huobi announced that IOST-incubated EMOGI (LOL) will launch as the fifth Huobi Prime project on August 15th.
To further celebrate this success with our community, IOST is pleased to announce the LOL airdrop plan for the IOST global community.

Total supply for EMOGI Network (LOL): 21,000,000,000 LOL
Total giveaway volume for IOST staking voters: 6% of the EMOGI (LOL) total supply, which is 1,260,000,000 LOL.

(A) Genesis Airdrop Event

Giveaway volume: 63,000,000 LOL.
Eligible Participants: IOST voters (including voters who vote through mining pools).
Time: IOST will take snapshots of IOST votes at 13:00 August 13th (UTC) and distribute the Genesis Airdrop on August 16th.
Rules: According to snapshots taken on August 13th.
Distribution to an account = Votes on this account / Total Votes * 63,000,000 LOL
IOST will distribute airdrop giveaways according to on-chain data. If you are holding your IOST in a staking pool, please contact your respective staking pools for assistance and clarity on how your airdrop will be received.

(B) Long-Term Airdrop Event

Giveaway volume: 630,000,000 LOL.
Eligible Participants: IOST voters (including voters who vote through mining pools).
Long term airdrop event will last for five years, starting from August 1, 2019 and ending on August 1, 2024.
Each round of airdrop lasts for a month and rewards are issued the month after.
Every month 10,500,000 LOL will be airdropped to eligible participants.
Distribution volume to an account in a given month = Votes on the account for the month / Total Votes for the month *10,500,000 LOL
IOST will distribute airdrop giveaways according to on-chain data. If you are holding your IOST in a staking pool, please contact your respective staking pools for assistance and clarity on how your airdrop will be received.

Calculation Example
For example, David has 10,000 IOST staked on August 1st according to the snapshot taken at 13:00 (UTC) the same day. He stakes (or votes) a further 20,000 IOST on August 3rd, and 30,000 IOST on 5th. He doesn’t redeem or further stake or vote until August 31. So the staking proportion for David in August will be calculated as:
10,000*31+ 20,000 *（31–2）+ 30,000 *（31–4）
