My review is that I would not trust this person, I was just scammed of .026 BTC.
Hello.
Can you please elaborate on this?

I sent him several messages about the coin and he said that I won since the others dropped. I though he was new, as I am new. I received the wallet address in the email and I asked several questions and he responded and he responded. When it came time to ship, he said he was hacked, I,ve been busy... sorry. There was a period of time that he would have seen the emails back and Forth.

Why did he not look at his emails for a period of hours, and he actually himself responded twice. He now says he is experienced, buy has not bee rated. don't make sense. I know user Spoakanistan51, we've deal quite a few times.

I've seen your reaction to get ripped off, so I sent you a message. I think there are a two player involved, a team.

This auction got a little wild at first. LV had to take the time to defend himself.  After the close of this auction forum members will see I am trustworthy. Thanks to all who bid and make sure to look out for the next auction!
Please feel free to direct message me with any questions. WELCOME TO THE SHOW!!!

P.S. I feel like after this auction I should change my name to NigerianPrince

Sincere apologies from me. I think I was a little too strong in my one comment. I generally have not commented when people list things i don't understand or organize them in ways that are unconventional. I want all the auctions to be successful. But, In my short time on the forum what I have seen is that older users have alerted the forum to strange things & scams, which is helpful because quite a few noobs have been bilked out of sats from thieves.

Edit: Also, I would like to mention that blucepheus is a good guy, means well, and keeps his end of the deal. I'm sure he left you feedback as promised; unfortunately, not everyone's trust shows under "Trusted feedback". Sad

Appreciate that SZ; the feeling is mutual!

LV, it's quite easy to have my very positive feedback incorporated into your feedback score.

There's a little saying that circulates around the bitcointalk collectibles board every once in awhile..
Caveat emptor
Don't like the auction terms/format/auctioneer? Don't bid. Neither of these guys have done anything shady as of yet.. will we keep eyes on them in the future if this turns sour? Yea. Each person needs to have their own personal red flags when dealing here and if it means this coin sells for less than it normally would.. so be it.. that is on the seller.

Bitcoin has changed a lot.. you DO need to ask yourself what an unlicensed nice guy escrow has for tools in their bag? Lets not be dumb here. Smart escrows will have upped their game if they want to remain doing business here. This statement could use it's own thread to be honest but it isn't one that I want to start.

Honestly,  I don't see why it's a big deal. If you guys believe that Lazer is willing to risk his perfect trust ratings for 0.01 btc then by all means don't bid.

Look, I give a shit so much.  That I worry about the coin being lost in transit even after I have gotten my escrow money.  Most people wouldn’t give a shit, but I literally think of all these things.. By only shipping it once, it reduces the risk to the customer in regards to shipping.

Because I am a nice guy to a fault.  And so when I do these things people don’t know what to think.  But I don’t always want to fucking break down every little thought in my head of why I do what I do.  But I have my reasons, and honestly it’s my prerogative to sell them how I please.

There is also a downside to sending to minerjones because now the coin is being shipped twice, meaning that doubles the risk of the item potentially being lost in transit.  So I’m really just looking out for you in the end.  Sorry you don’t see it that way.

Also, if I felt like it was suspicious I would wait to see if the first person got their coin.  And if they did, then if there were auctions later down the road, I would bid on them.

good luck with your sales

Here,

Let me B R E A K it down for all the people screaming about escrow and why its utterly stupid for a seller to do this.

Lets say I agree to escrow.  THIS PUTS ALL THE BURDEN OF RISK ON ME.  You could take the coin, and turn around and say to minerjones you didn't get it, or it was damaged, or it was already redeemed.  Minerjones then gives you back your money.  And I have now lost my coin.

What part of this don't you people understand?

Then send the coin to the escrow first.

Why are you being stubborn with escrow which is a very common tool used on this forum? id say standard.

No one needs to buy your coin if they dont feel confrontable without using the most standard means of protection on this forum.

If you are afraid of escrow, then go to eBay or some other crappy place that you can deal with all the risks.

Amazing that you are arguing over this TBH.

Id NEVER do a deal with you without escrow, sorry, your "newbie friend".   Especially after this rant, sounds way too fishy, and if you dont see that, no one can help you.

Sorry if you dont see it that way.

I am saying I am validating him.

Whoever wins this auction will also validate it to everyone that they got the coin and the deal is legit.

I saw that. Escrow is the action that backs these random words on the internet though..

At the end of the day, my friend said he would do me a favor my helping me sell off some of my small denomination coins.  That is literally all this is.

Then why not offer a 1 time escrow to validate him?

I dont think it matters why not, but rather which escrow they are comfortable with.

If they are not comfortable with any escrow, then id ask "why not"

thanks!
Buck brings up a good point. Is this auction good with a specific credible Escrow? You have to understand a Newbie running an auction for someone else may steer people away.....

HEY BLUECEPHEUS.  THANKS A LOT BUDDY FOR NOT GIVING ME A RATING AFTER OUR DEAL.  AND THEN YOU HAVE THE BALLS TO SHIT ON MY AUCTION.  NICE ONE BUDDY.

This guy paid first, I get him the coin. He begs me to give him a good rating while he gives me none and shits on me

What are you smokin'?

I'm going to go on a limb and theorize that LV's account was compromised, and this is not the true LV...

  • Seems very out of character for him based on his reputation and our past interactions
  • A couple of days ago, I received an unsolicited PM on here with a link to a landing page that was identical to Bitcointalk's login page... only, it wasn't. They were phishing credentials from members. I reported to the mods, but this actually lends credence to the theory
  • All of the stuff "LV" is throwing out there re: recent deals could be learned from his reviews and PMs.
  • The newbie's account was created 3 days before the auction listing
  • The only feedback the newbie has is from no other than, you guessed it, LV -- on April 30, the date of the auction

Does any trusted member here know LV personally who can verify?

@Mods, are you able to investigate the IP address activity associated with LV's account for signs of abuse?

I will bid on this if I can chose the Escrow; otherwise I you're wasting everyone's time because It's obviously crooked and everyone would be stupid to participate. It doesn't matter if someone with a basass name like LazerViking endorses it.

Rules not Rulers
We are being honest and upfront about what is going on. If I had copper member status and that made you more comfortable I can do that to take away my newbie status, but that is just a matter of spending money.
For those who are interested bid with confidence and know that this is a legitimate transaction. Any coin will be mailed out insured as soon as shipping info is exchanged and btc wallet transfer has been made.
This may be unusual but there is nothing illegal or dishonest happening here. One owner coin ready for a new home  Smiley

I am being honest and upfront about what is going on. I am a Nigerian Prince, and if it makes you more comfortable I can buy an online certificate saying so, but that is just a matter of spending money.
For those who are interested in sharing my inheritance, please send me bitcoin and know that this is a legitimate transaction. You share of the inheritance will be sent you as soon as you give me your account details and btc wallet transfer has been made.
This may be unusual but there is nothing illegal or dishonest happening here.  One inheritance ready for a new home Smiley

....don't trust, verify.

If you are so incapable of understanding the ethos of bitcoin, I find it extremely doubtful you actually own any. Only an idiot would participate in this auction. I personally have had my account here hacked and taken over, so just because an old account with trust says you can trust something, you can't.
