There was a website called Bitcoinocracy, that was owned by Roger Ver, that tried this concept many years ago. The idea behind it was that you could use this to resolve the scaling debate. The problem with it is that large holders and exchanges can have disproportionate influence over the outcome. We are already seeing this on your website where a single address holds a 98% share of the total voting power. The only thing it proves is that proof of stake is a terrible mechanism for reaching consensus on contentious topics.

Great idea. I'll simply sign up a million addresses, and get Trump IN all by myself.

Interesting stuff, but I think it only can be seen as thing to play for fun. Not that it can be actual endorsement.
As said above, there is some flaws like any person from any part of world can make an endorsement, while it should be only about USA. Another thing is that you can use as many addresses as you want, so, we won't get clear message who get more support.
Finally, neither Trump or Harris isn't someone who I would like to endorse. But fortunately I'm not US citizen.

You must have your reasons for not endorsing any of them and your reasons are clearly enough for you to have made those choices. US citizens who are actually into bitcoin may want to use that as a tool to decide whom they want vote for in the upcoming election. I just know that that should not be the only reason one should use to judge whom they want to vote for, it is way beyond that if you look at the context of what politics and democracy is actually.

Using bitcoin addresses to endorse a candidate is sure a good way as it will remain anonymous who the person is. But just like you said, there are going to be many flaws in it and the result from here cannot be used to judge or support the claim of who is going to win the election. It is great though and I like the idea of it.

I like this idea of using Bitcoin as a decentralized way to vote, but let us be real: there several flaws with comes with a system like this one, so I assume you are doing this just for the sake of experimentation and fun.
One single person could have several addresses under their control and those addresses could have a positive balance, opening the possibility of allowing people to vote multiple times for the same candidate.
Another flaw would be the fact there would be people from all around the world who are not citizens of the United States, so they would not be in fact elegible to vote for either Kamala Harris, Donald Trump or any other third party candidate. For something like this to work in reality it would require each citizen of the United States to have their own set of cryptographic keys and the federal government to have a registration of each citizen and their public keys, so they could filter ineligible people out when counting time comes.
Still, I will keep an eye on this project, decentralized voting is one of the solutions Blockchain technology can offer and it is yet to be implemented on any serious democratic country.
