That's sad realization when someone hits the middle age. It's true that you've got lesser friends and if you have some people that you go along with in the office, it's just all about business and job.

But outside, you're just two known people to each other but not in deep relationship as friends.

Not true.I live in village and still many relatives and childhood friends here.
Good for you.

But the majority that gets older, chooses whatever is going to offer themselves with peace. Many chooses to live far away and to protect their peace and sanity away from their known people that probably have done them wrong.

I still have my friends and they'll forever my friends. Just like today after eating out, I've met the mother of my childhood friend and was happy to see me. Have a talked as if we have never seen each other for 2 or more decades.  Wink

When you found people like those, treasure them because you meet them or not, that friendship will never change.

Upon hitting middle age, most people are in the peak of their careers.  It's not until a few decades later when they retire that they miss their friends.

Not all women live like this, there are completely opposite lives for women.

Stop trying to make friends. People are fucking evil, so you don't want to be friends with them.

As people enter middle age, many realize their friends live farther away, and it's hard for anyone to find enough time to meet up. This is especially true for women, who often end up sacrificing their social time and opportunities.

No. The only friend I have is my wife. Others are here till they benefit from me. Everyone of us are in the game of the game theory where we try to achieve more out of everyone and co-operate when we believe we are benefiting from them.

Not everyone does it, right? It depends on the person, not on the age. There are women who are very sociable. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE! Smiley

Once a man, twice a child!
Twenty friends can't play for twenty years.

As one grows in life, the times one meets with one's friends reduces; either because of change of environment, difference in interest, work place change, realignment because of marriage or even death. Know that and know peace.
