Getting rid of the EPA is a really bad idea. Who is going to protect the people from rogue corporations? The fracking industry could go nuts and ruin water supplies for so many people. How could they fight a giant corporation with unlimited funding and lawyers. The EPA needs to stay its here to protect the average american. That's what Trump was supposed to be doing but he's favoring corporations instead.

If anti european racism had not lead to the past few world wars and before which wiped out most european culture, there
wouldn't have been a reason for a silly administration such as the EPA, to tell european(and euro influenced society)
humanity how do behave towards the environment they once worshiped and cared for as delicately as they do
their own skin.

There is only 1 true system of law in existence. And there is only 1 derivative of it that can lead all humanity
into total prosperity and health. And this system has been destroyed and shall not be named here, less too
many people start crying and making up stories of false victimization. I hope the few wise people out there
come to quickly embrace it. For their future depends on it. Let the legalese fiction addicts go on their path
and where it leads. Submission and depraved servitude.

Americans are supposed to be self-governing... not EPA or President governed.

If you are scared of what some corporation is doing, file a claim in court against the people - man to man - of the corporation. The claim would state that they are harming you because they are doing things that they haven't proven are safe. The worry is beating you up. List the things that they are doing to harm you. Let the jury decide.

A bill was just introduced, that article is just clickbait. It hasn't happened LOL.

Uping this by just quoting it.

I know that Republicans and the Donald are not going to be fans of the EPA due to them being for less regulations but do you guys really think that they'd be able to shut down the entire thing without a REAL news source covering it. The MSM hates Donald and they'd be trying in anyway possible to ruin anything and everything controversial that he does (Most of his presidency decisions)

Omg wtf is going with donald.

Because of people like you who take what you read as the truth is the real problem we have with FAKENEWS

Environmental Protection Agency To Officially Terminate On Dec. 31, 2018

In the handful of weeks that Donald Trump has been President of the United States, a lot has happened. The stress that's been mounting due to recent events just increased, however. That's because, by the end of next year, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will be terminated.

H.R. 861, which was introduced by House Republicans on Feb. 3, only contains one sentence: "The Environmental Protection Agency shall terminate on December 31, 2018." As Daily KOS reports, the bill which was introduced by Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Florida) and cosponsored by Reps. Steven Palazzo (R-Mississippi), Thomas Massie (R-Kentucky), and Barry Loudermilk (R-Georgia) is presently awaiting action in the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee.

No information has been shared detailing what will happen to the bounty of knowledge and researched produced by the EPA over the last decades. Additionally, nothing is said about what will happen to the Clean Air Act, or the Clean Water Act, or even the Endangered Species Act. Considering Donald Trump and many of his cabinet picks believe climate change is a "hoax" invented by the Chinese, environmentalists aren't optimistic about might occur. Finally, the single statement in the legislation fails to mention what will happen to the EPA's $8 million budget or the 15,000+ workers who are employed by the agency.

Cool

As you can read it is not Donald Trump who authored the law but it is Representative Matt Gaetz. This does not mean that the decision if this implemented is coming from the president. But hope even if Trump is not the author of this law he will make actions to stop this kind of move that will endanger the environment of America. This is a very alarming matter and Trump should intervene with this plans before it will be approved.

Thanks. I had some kind of heart attack at first glance on the title!

USA is one of the first polluter in the world.
That they have a president believing climate change is a hoax makes me angry.
But that this president would have even closed down the research centres that would make me lose faith in the potential future... Or at least the little faith I still have...

Here is what I think is kinda absurd.

We elect Donald or whoever, plus Congress.

Between Donald, Congress and the Supreme Court, some bill is passed into law to do something.

Then the new law is sent to Thompsons in Canada where it is shortened and revised so that it makes legal sense. While they revise it, they interpret much of what Donald, Congress and the Supreme Court was trying to say in the new law.

Then the law comes back to us in statute form.

Then a whole bunch of appointed or hired "officials" write out their public policy regarding the law. They give this public policy to their employees who often interpret it in ways that are different than their official bosses had intended.

None of the statute approximates what Donald, Congress and the Supreme Court had intended. But even if it did, the things that Donald, Congress and the Supreme Court made into law probably aren't what the people really want, anyway.

The point is, by the time that law enforcement gets their hands on the final policies, they are way different than what anybody above them had intended. Then law enforcement makes its changes, and who knows what we get.

This seems more like the process of anarchy to me.

The EPA isn't what we really want. We want protection for the environment without being stifled in our everyday freedom. Well, the environment isn't being protected, even though there are a lot of controls set in place. But the little guy almost can't build his own car from scratch and drive it without getting all kinds of tests done by the State.

If the EPA worked right, we would have freedom and true protection at the same time.

It doesn't need to be terminated, it just needs to self-fund (along with every other government program).

Was pretty shocked when I read the title without realising a bill was already introduced. Of course it wouldn't happen that would be something absurd.
