I do not trust EOS after recent developments. Instead, invest in ADA, Wanchain, quartchain or fantom.

Not really since they have found out the vulnerability of EOS and it can be hacked easily.

I will not say not to invest on this project but their is really risk.
I think that if there is even a small risk, then this project needs to get rid of your attention. In any case, it has much more promising projects that can be invested.

Yeah good thing of EOS coin holder,  it really has a potential to grow more but i don't think that it will crash the ETH so fast.  EOS has a long way to go before it happens.
Yea, eos is quite good but not even close to ETH. How comes eos crash eth? Now market is totally red, any reason can be factor cause a coin to fall even severe. So how many factors cause ETH to fall? Many. Eos is one little element.

I do not understand how this op defines and think that EOS is crashing the ethereum market. Not even worth compete the Monero, NEO and Zcash I hope. I did not mean about the price wise. Apart from rate there are many aspects you need to check while you are looking to invest on any coins, so as I got to know I do not find the big hope with the EOS in future mate.
If you want to invest the altcoins for short term trading you can choose EOS as the option there is no other go dude.

Not important when bullish market. Now EOS don't show anything valuable. And if EOS is ETH killer what team will do with their funds? Dump ETH price? Or sell a few for own salary? I think both projects will live all together

I don't think EOS is the only competitor in Ethereum. I think Ethereum has many competitors. I think EOS is not an opponent of Ethereum. Those who advocate EOS. I do not support it. I don't like EOS, the cryptocurrency.

of course ethereum has many competitors, EOS is the one for sure, but the best competitor & the one who can beat eth in a short period of time is Ven Chain
Cause Ven is corporate only, think about it.

EOS is not the only competition ETH is facing. There are new Platforms emerging almost daily. Of course most won't be able to compete with the "big ones" anytime soon, but better technology can be a reason to switch to a new platform.

The point is that they are competing against each other.

Which is good for the growth of the Blockchain ecosystem, but trying to manipulate the market to cause crash is unethical. But this is also something that needs to be kept in mind while acting in an unregulated market.

I see the price of eth is still at the same level, i figure they didn't sell anything yet and as you say i find hard to believe they will try this move, eth will recover.
No, the price of ether went up by almost $ 100. When the EOS team sold ETH it costs about $ 500, and now it is almost $600 for ETH. Therefore, we can say that the EOS team either did not reset the tokens or the market bought ETH with pleasure.

In general, there was already a lot of ICO that promised to" crush " Ethereum, but at that moment ETH is the only one working platform on cryto. I mean global ecosystem, not local like NEO.

EOS is positioned as a direct Ethereum competitor , although ETH is well funded and supported by the leaders of both the digital and the real sectors. Ultimately, the ETH still holds the advantage compared to EOS from the point of maturity view,  the tools and the team.Although EOS is faster than ether, the decision-making mechanism is technically more vulnerable. Both platforms have a lot to work on, but app developers will be wary of releasing working code for EOS until the network is more Mature. Is EOS able to crush ETH? This will be clear only when the network will be fully operational.

Even though the ethereum is well funded it is no where near to $100+  million raised by EOS on over a period of an year. Still ETH is a better project as of now because there is no fully functional EOS blockchain.

Same as that ethereum grew in the past to reach the current price eos is growing in a gradual manner. In a very short time period with its increased trading volume and the circulation amount it has got listed among the top five digital currency. The same is termed to be a direct competitor to ethereum, but I don't think ethereum will be overcome by eos.

The theory seems about right . But lets not talk about it till it totally crash etherneum . Many coins have turned up against etherneum and bitcoin and seem to crash them , but that just couldn't really happen in my knowledge . The top 2 coins stayed where they were regardless of all the ups and downs . It is true that EOS is flourishing , but there is still a way to go to math the biggest dominating coins of the market.

As I have said in a different thread, it is too early to conclude about EOS overtaking ETH. The BTC and BCH scenario is the very best example for this.
I believe that the cause of massive selling of ETH is to get on board of EOS before it launches. Then many will go back to ETH after harvesting their profit. Basic of trading. ETH is still too powerful to be overtaken.

I did not copy everything on purpose so that everyone will read the whole article in the full. It's well written and might have covered the events accurately.

Also, I checked some Ethereum forums and some people have said that ETH short selling is in an all time high in Bitfinex. Can anyone confirm if it is true?

An incredible trading volume of some 180,000 eth exchanged hands within that one hour on Bitfinex, up from around 20,000 an hour before hand.

That’s compared to somewhat usual trading volumes of around 20,000 eth on OKex and Gdax, suggesting clearly someone sold a lot of eth on Bitfinex.

On that same exchange, just before hand there were walls too, endless walls as far as traders are concerned, with a 20,000 bearwhale taken down then another one popping up until they may have lost patience and perhaps market sold.

The demand for ethereum has been getting smaller day by day and we are to be careful as this may actually crash the market.  I have sold part of my holding from the last gained around third week of May.  I think we should also have in mind that we cannot really predict this market accurately and that means this article can be right or wrong.

I totally disagree with you that demand is getting smaller. It still the coins being used for making your ICO investments so I don't think that there will be no demand because we still have hundreds of ICO (current and popping out like mushrooms).

Perhaps EOS had already formulated the ETH challenge strategy before the one-year ICO was carried out! That is to raise as many ETH as possible, then sell in the market, become a means to defeat ETH!

Are they copying a page on how the supposed crashed has been done to Bitcoin by the Bitcoin Cash pundits like Roger Ver and Jihan Wu? LOL.

Well that's what I heard, it was touted to be the ETH killer so let's see how it goes.

If this is deliberate then it will send shockwaves to ETH holding. However, I don't think that will be sustainable though, as whales might be manipulating it and a dump will soon followed.

They are simply extraordinary. Every ha focal points and drawbacks. One of the genuine difficulties of EOS would be unquestionably to accomplish gigantic selection, which ETH presently has. It resembles contrasting one type with a totally different type: they both are organic products, however they taste and have altogether different normal properties.

It is easy - if transactions in Ethereum blockchain will be as costly and as slow as today and if Ethereum will not manage to solve those problems with the help of gonetwork or casper or something all ICOs will join EOS. It is quick, cheap and centralized. But imao there are too many EOS tokens and market is too weak. Attempt to sell reasonable part of EOS ether will drive the market into the ground and lower.

There are still too many unknowns related to the EOS blockchain. Let's also not forget how great the dev team has Ethereum. If EOS actually manages to win with ETH, it will not be a easy fight.

it is the price drop and the exit that most traders are doing. there is also the exit of newbie bag holders that lost enough money to now want to give up hope and panic sell. it is a slow process which is going to continue happening until ethereum price reaches a more logical level. i agree with most experts on less than $100 to be a good place for ethereum based on its utility and huge supply.

as for EOS i still have to check the project myself but it seems to be gaining a lot of attention and attract a lot of money which is understandable as small projects go. it stops when they become big like ETH.

EOS is like the mt gox for ethereum. Now that this information is public, people will keep an eye on their wallets so when they start to move a boat load of ethereum everyone will dump! This isn't just EOS, many ICOs collect ETH so it's better to find a safer option like NEO

EOS is way overhyped at the moment and that does look like a quick sell just to have a negative effect on the price of Ethereum its main competition although that shouldn't have too much impact

Ethereum has very strong support in the market and can handle large ICO's dumping it which happens quite often

More bad news for Ethereum holders. EOS has sent more ETH to Bitfinex worth $120 million. I speculate that EOS is dumping ETH to accumulate USDT and use that to pump EOS/USDT in the exchange when it becomes available, or is it already available?

Conclusive evidence that EOS has sent 200,000 eth to Bitfinex has now been provided by the ethereum public blockchain.

The EOS crowdsale smart contract has now finally been drained with just $1 million worth of eth left there at the time of writing.

The year long ICO is to finally end at around 11PM London time, which translates to late afternoon in America and very early morning in Asia.

Around that time or soon after the EOS blockchain is to launch, but rather than being busy with those preparations, the company behind EOS, block.one, is seemingly instead busy with moving millions in eth.

Still, more than 700k ether remaining on the EOS-owner wallet and that should be the last amount of ethereum. That's true EOS was manipulating the market. you can try to track all of the EOS transaction through this lnk
https://sanbase-low.santiment.net/projects/eos

I just curious how long EOS will be going to increase in the future without any help from the ico's fund.

EOS has used around 1.5 billion dollars to pump EOS token.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Sure seems to be the case judging by the very first screenshot of the o.p. and the posted article about them moving the funds over to an exchange. I hate when things like this happen. I don't understand why anyone dumps such large amounts all at the same time.. Seems like a better idea to sell a little here and there for a day or 2. Why do you need that much money right this second?

I think it will not affect the real value of ETH or EOS. We can not evaluate the long-term growth potential of an altcoin based on their capital and rankings in the Crypto market.
The most important thing is the real value of the coin. You will never want to buy a coin only in terms of form and without the business intelligence.

Although EOS is a very prominent coin with great features and potentials to help it grow in cryptocurrency and it is gaining more participants thereby expanding in size but I do not see EOS crashing ethereum which is the second best coin in crypto and with many projects using it blockchain for their transaction. What EOS is doing to ETH today is pretty much the same thing that BitcoinCash was trying to do to Bitcoin a year ago. A small player's futile attempt to overthrow a strong and much bigger competitor. My theory is that just like bitcoincash, EOS will also soon fall short and Ethereum will prove to be supreme again.

Sell your EOS while you can. ETH is far more advanced than EOS to even begin comparing the two.

sell now? :-) no-way, wait for some bull runs first, the countdown is near the start of the mainnet, it will be a headshot sell EOS now (speaking for hodlers)

I think that it is early to judge ETH before EOS mainnet launch. ETH is still largest blockchain with lots of projects based on it.
Nevertheless, we should remember that EOS has very big opponent - Tezos. After both of them will launch mainnets - we could judge then and only then.

This is entirely possible.  A month or so ago I totaled the ETH amounts on eosscan. They raised over 5 million ether in their ICO. That means EOS hold 5% of the Ether supply.  If it is not them doing i t now then one day they will be doing it.

Dumping 5 million ETH can drastically drop the price.

most likely an ICO project that could sell a lot of ETH is EOS, I'm glad if they make ETH sales at this low price because it becomes an opportunity for me to buy ETH at cheap prices, such cases are normal because many ICO projects are built on Ethereum platform and sooner or later they will surely sell the ETH for project development funds

Interesting theory that may have some substance but does not explain why nearly all the coins are in red. It is similar to the theory of CME futures shorting causing bitcoin prices to go down. Probably some whales are  scaring weak longs to puke up their coins at the bottom.

EOS trying to be on top naturally, if that means overthrowing ethereum in the picture so be it. Thats how the competition works on ranking. Actually it will depend on the people supporting and investing on the projects. I can not disagree that ethereum is supreme and its more powerful and advance but don't think that one project cannot improve as time goes by.

Im not an EOS fan, on the other way around, Im mostly ethereum investor. I trust ethereum more than other alts around but it is quite.amusing that some are improving like EOS , just hoping that after their main net those who dump ethereum for this will not regret shifting to EOS anyway, we will see how things will work out later. If they are succesful they can be on top next to famous coins.

EOS is not the only competition ETH is facing. There are new Platforms emerging almost daily. Of course most won't be able to compete with the "big ones" anytime soon, but better technology can be a reason to switch to a new platform.

It's pretty clear that this is probably the reason ETH is falling more than most of the other top coins. EOS did have a year long ICO though and raised a ton of ETH, so its no surprise that they'd eventually dump it. The Bitfinex-EOS-Tether relationship is shady as hell though.

See I don't think so not only ETH entire crypto currency market is in big volatile. EOS will take time to reach like ETH, of course, we are seeing potential in EOS and generating high volume because people are getting more awareness about the EOS project.
