They just need Fiat from that huge amount of ETH, and they dumped it during the past. Let waiting for their main-net is launched this month and Wait to see how the price of EOS will fluctuate.

It is normal, they have bills and wages to pay. Can we buy food with ETH? No.

I don't know why people are so particular at what is happening in the EOS wallet, developers move this money several times but most of them always employ the use of third party to sell their Ethers and not move directly to exchange not to cause panic in the market

It was a dirty move that aimed to lower the price of its major competition ETH, according to the article.

EOS will go down in history as the prime example of greedy business practice and wild crazy, stupid investors in a bubble economy.

Isn't it amazing on how there are so many red flags about EOS yet it is still valued as  12billion dollar company.
The craziest thing of it all is that it is a 12b company that doesn't even have a product.

So how did it get so rich?
By doing a ridiculous "ico" where it continued to leech money from people for whole entire year.

This move by EOS is another sign on how terrible of a company it is.
Why would they move that massive amount of eth to bitfinex?
To cash out of course.

And if they are going to cash out, then where is all that money going to.
Surely, they can create a product and take it market by the end of the year?
But do any of you have nay hopes that will happen especially since 2018 is halfway over?

Ethereum’s public blockchain has provided definitive evidence that EOS recently sent 200,000 ether (ETH) to Bitfinex. This leaves the EOS crowdsale’s smart contract with just over $1 million worth of ETH.
The remaining amount of ether is around more than 770k ethereum. it has been stored on the EOS owner wallet. you can try to see the wallet through this address https://etherscan.io/address/0x9937dbb2128b55c44d8af7bf36fd76796a814cf4#tokentxns

QKC has done even better than eos. Only those amateurs are investing in EOS lol

This big transaction indeed happened, but it happened some days ago already. It was the EOS team liquidating ETH to pay for different stuff/people related to the project with fiat money.

I think this will affect the ether. Such transfer can increase the dissatisfaction of the investors of the market of crypto currency. We have seen the decrease in the worth of the eos after such transfer. Now the investors are in a fix. What will be its effect is now the question of the investors.
