EOS has always been a favorite of the Chinese government, they also have these weird kind of rankings of crypto currencies and they have listed EOS at the top for many times now and bitcoin at the middle levels because in all fair affect bitcoin doesn't have the great technology that some of these newer coins have yet when considering bitcoin is the most used one that surpasses any of the other stuff.

EOS is not a bad coin at all and in the past 1 year I have been stashing some of it aside for future possibility of going up, its still not as big as Bitcoin for me but in my portfolio it does have a 5% place of its own, I have a bit more eth and dash on top of it and of course have bitcoin as most of my portfolio but EOS is certainly a decent one.

If EOS is at the top end of the technologies regarding cryptocurrencies, then we are put too bad. In addition to everything else, little decentralization that risks diminishing again ...

I agree with this comment, man.. that means we are at the very beginning of the road and there is a lot of work to be done.

EOS is a foundation coin and has a very good future, everyone has an interest in EOS and many people invest in it. However, EOS has a big minus point that is the difficulty to own an EOS wallet, new people can not even create an EOS wallet for themselves. I think that houses should improve this to allow people to access the EOS platform more easily.

EOS also holds the first position in Chinese government backed workgroups rating among popular crypto. It's also one of the best performing crypto and one of the newest top 10 coins by marketcap. Thought their price has been frustrating compared to their once all time high, still there are good profit for patient holders.

Such analytics may be true, but for further development depends on the way the team works and manages, to advance and Blockchain technology must be supported by many people. My own opinion is that EOS still has not outperformed ETH.

EOS certainly is a project with a huge possibilities. It has solved many problems the ETH blockchain is still suffering from and has one of the largest growth of clients in new utility tokens. It just comes in second after Ethereum for having a large number of dapps. It's just the bearish market thats bringing the EOS down. If we have a boost in the prices, there would be much more projects coming to EOS.

EOS the best or rather the top blockchain? This is funny, is it more decentralized than ETH nor secure than BTC? Well this is the opinion of someone or a group of people. There is no doubt EOS is trying its best, but saying it's better than a blockchain like ETH nor even XLM is a no no.
If EOS is actually the top blockchain, let it go ahead and beat ETH..
The guy has definitely exaggerated a little bit. He needs to go through his level of knowledge. EOS might be a good option but calling it the best when ethereum is still here and let us not forget the king bitcoin also, is simple a desire or an act of insanity. EOS can never ever defeat ethereum and before ever thinking about that, it will have to compete against many other rivals first. Ethereum is the best altcoin.

Yes, indeed, EOS fans are somewhat exaggerating the capabilities of the project. Despite the fact that the project EOS is more technological, it is still inferior to ETH. I am more inclined to the side of ETH. Some points for me seem doubtful in EOS. For example, centralization and the ability of a team to freeze any wallet. Of course, without explaining the reasons for the ban. Of course, most reviews about EOS are positive. https://revain.org/projects/eos - you can take a look here, for example. But I have more confidence in another project - ethereum. This is my personal choice and I urge only to analyze the information before making your choice.

There is something that doesn't make sense here about how bitcoin must compete with YUAN and what was the correlation from both? The problem is only china's government doesn't wanna see its currency to be traded with crypto.
The ranking is also lack of the explanations about what factors that already used to determine the ranking. So far if we are seeing from the total dapps and EOS was still getting at the top place caused by so many dapps gambling there. But if you are seeing from the working and useful product and that may give you another result. It looks like that this ranking seems not to be very accurated.

I don't think this ranking is new, and also there are several ranking websites that ranked cryptocurrencies but the funny thing here is that most of the top projects are smart contract platform, also EOS is too centralised a project to be leading that space, and there is no kill Dapps on the chain that will make it stand out of the crowd
it's true that most of the top projects are smart contract platforms interestingly they also issue tokens with their respective bases and EOS-based tokens are also in great interest, I'm still waiting for their development until there is a kill Dapps in the chain that will make it stand out Roll Eyes

well, how EOS become more popular than ETH , but well , whatever they say , i still believe ETH is the better.

EOS is like a new born star, beside ETH which is proven by time and reliability, EOS and TRX is 2 coins seem the most promising right now to invest I think. I'm expecting it could surpass ETH or XRP in future.

if to go beyond ETH and XRP those are two possibilities,
the first possibility is parallel to them which includes a very good process for EOS
the second possibility is that to get beyond them EOS must develop better

u must be quite crazy to put XRP here .
its not about ranked on market cap, but it based on popularity and technology on each blockchain.

EOS is a great blockchain, it has a great future, but this is not enough to be the best. I think that such news has a great influence on the crypto market, but too little influence on specific coins. In my opinion, the EOS is not the best yet.

Following President Xi’s recent roaring endorsement of blockchain technology, cryptocurrency news has been practically flowing out of China. Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information released its assessment of the top cryptocurrency projects in the world - with EOS taking the number one spot. That means that EOS is recognized as the top blockchain by esteemed research analysts, and it could have an impact on the crypto asset industry at large.

What is EOS?
EOS was announced by Block. One in 2017, and launched as open-source software in June 2018. EOS is the native cryptocurrency of the EOS blockchain, which achieves greater scalability than both Ethereum and Bitcoin, thanks to it’s delegated proof-of-stake (DPoS) consensus algorithm. According to eToro.com, DPos “...is a consensus algorithm that works to maintain irrefutable agreements across a blockchain, validate transactions, and acts as a digital democratic system.”

The DPoS algorithm allows EOS to process transactions much faster than other blockchains (like Etheruem and Bitcoin) because there are only 21 block producing nodes, voted in by the EOS token holders. The network only needs to reach consensus between 21 nodes to produce a block.

EOS is ideal for dApp (decentralized application) development, thanks to the scalability of the blockchain. EOS currently ranks seventh on the list of cryptocurrencies, based on market cap. The project has a market cap of $3,251,468,225 at the time of writing.

EOS was recognized as the top blockchain by esteemed research analysts, based on its “basic tech, applicability, and creativity.”

EOS has four distinctive features:
- Fast transactions: It takes about half a second to confirm a transaction on the EOS blockchain, and around 2 minutes to finalize it.
- Transfer Fees: There are no transfer fees on the EOS blockchain, since there are no mining fees.
- EOS only: EOS is the only token on the network that dApp developers can use to obtain the resources they need to run their projects.
- Governance: EOS tokens play a massive role in the governance of the blockchain. Only EOS holders can vote for block producers.

The list
Let’s take a look at the Ministry of Industry and Information’s Top Blockchain rankings:

1. EOS
2. TRON
3. Ethereum
4. NULS
5. BitShares
6. STEEM
7. Lisk
8. QTUM
9. NEO
10. XLM
11. Bitcoin

Unusually, Bitcoin doesn’t even crack the top ten on the Ministry of Industry and Information’s list. This is likely because the government considers BTC to be competition to the Yuan.

Contrastingly EOS retained its first place position, having secured its place at the top for quite some time now. TRON bumped Ethereum down to third position, taking its spot as the runner up. Lisk and QTUM experienced huge bumps, moving up seven and ten positions respectively. If this report is anything to go by, it’s time to seriously consider investing in EOS before you miss out. CFD trading on a platform like eToro can give you great insight into the rise and falls of the crypto asset markets, while earning a solid ROI.

What this means
Since President Xi’s endorsement of blockchain technology, Chinese cryptocurrencies have been on the rise. EOS has risen by up to 15% in recent weeks, and TRON also rose by 38%. Now that EOS was recognized as the top blockchain by esteemed research analysts, it’s likely that investors will pay even more attention to the EOS blockchain. One thing’s for sure, the crypto asset industry is booming in China, and it’s not going anywhere.

Naturally governments are for dpos then permissionless blockchains, but this just shows how much they are scared of them, people will soon find out why the permissionless blockchains will rule them all after these smoke and mirrors fade out.
