Hey people,

Just wanted to know which set up is the best for trading, because i need to get a new laptop and really thinking about going for a macbook.
Trading is not possible with a Ipad Pro.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Greetings

Is that for real? You're not able to access any trading exchange sites from your ipad? Because as far as i know there aren't any physical or material requirements to trade. As long as you have a device that can connect to the internet decently you should be able to access exchange websites to trade

To be honest as long as the equipment is working fine then i would probably go with it. It doesn't matter what is the brand of laptop but the specification of it really matters a lot. For sure, you won't gonna use your laptop for trading only because there's a lot of reasons why you will have a new laptop.

Maybe OP just want to reward his self for a job well done or he really can afford to buy that kind of laptop. Grin
In a serious note, these are all pure luxurious thing that people don't actually need, and what really matters here is the knowledge and skills that we need to be able to profit in trading. You can use also your phone or tablet to do trading but for me the most comfortable device to use is laptop.

The only equipment I can't think of as a prerequisite to trading is nothing other than the skills. With trading, you don't need any capital investment at all as what you currently have is enough to change your own fortune for the better and gradually you can then start to gather the equipment to make it better enterprise by going further to  install bots that won't work on mobiles or ensuring there is an extra security to make funds safer and the likes.

Nothing as a special equipment is required for trading. All that required for trading is the active connection to the internet. When you have the access to different trading exchanges and the capital for the trading participation automatically you can make earning through trading. If it's for mining, then it's important to go with specific equipment.

The best equiment for trading is your knowledge because I believe you really have to be prepared emotionally and of course mentally for you to succeed in trading. Using Indicators can help you make money so try to master it, you should master that. The rest is all about your tradings skill and experience.

No need to buy a fancy laptop to trade in crypto,
Of course you don't need to use a fancy laptop just to do some trading. That's overkill. In fact, you can use any device that has an internet connection. It doesn't matter if it is just a phone or a laptop. The important thing is to have a stable connection.

their are tools for trading in exchanges that you can use.
I don't really get what you are talking about. What tools are you referring to?  Huh

The best equipment for trading:
TA
Tech Analysis.

It ll not give you direct point,
it ll guide you the best choice.
Stick to that best equipment ever

You could that if u are beginner but for me, it is still better to read around the specific coin then use that analysis. If you don't know how to properly read that tech then it would be hard to interpret its reading.

I think all the equipment is as simple as just a notebook can be used for trading but the problem here is the speed of the internet that you use if you are a taker .. to spec laptop or computer I guess during that can run smoothly not a big problem.

and do not use your trading tools to surf the internet or download anything you dn't know about it

I think the use of smart to use the brain, time, and of course the right strategy to choose the crypto currency coin to buy it is important that where I should be, many investing in a coin should also focus on you because I'm buying an unknown coin there you're losing money and you have to buy it low and sell it high.

you can decide to yourself where are you compatable to use of any gadget for your trading activity, for me not in the equipment to get earn profits in the trading you need to use your strategy and skills for your trading investment.
That is just it. It is not by the gadget or equipment you are using, your skills and strategies matter a lot which from what I can detect from the OP's question, he still sounds like a noob in trading (just an assumption).

There are so many trading platforms to use which is important and I make use of bittrex directly on my mobile anytime I need to do some stuffs quickly which is highly mobile friendly. With the smart age, you can trade anywhere you are.

I am just using mobile for trading.. But if you want to maximize your trading analysis, you need a laptop or pc.
Next,  you need sites like tradingview.  If you are trading crypto its wise to have a subscription in coinygy.
For better experience try to have multiple monitors so you can watch how the charts move from hourly,  daily and even small time frames.

Whatever type of laptop you had as long as you have access to the internet and it can run browser for the trading platforms you prefer to use will be the best thing. You don't need to have the best equipment for trading since they are all running with browsers and we don't have to install something from them. A simple up-to-date computer desktop/laptop/mac/ipad that you can browse quickly that will be enough for you.

The tools that you what to used in trading should be your personal decision as there are many tools you can used in trading ranging from destop computer to smart phone. I am using Samsung s5 for trading on poloniex site an it is quite impressive and I have downloaded many trading tools and software from Google store that I am using in my trading. Laptops is the best trading tools you can using for easy movement and proper view of all trading assets.

In my opinion for newbie trader use laptop or PC is more easy to read and to understand the charting than Ipad or mobile android. Because with bigger screen we can add more indikator in the chart when use Trading View platform and will be more easy to learn price action. But if you expert already how to  read the chart in PC , then you can use Ipad or mobile android. If you full trader is important to understand how to use  all equipment because not possible all the time in front of PC.
I’m not really sure of iPad, but I know that there are platforms that allow mobile trading on Android, and that’s impressing. I prefer to do mobile trading, cause I’m not the type that loves to carry my laptop around everywhere I go, due to the bad boys. But I can easily carry my mobile around everywhere I go.

Just wanted to know which set up is the best for trading, because i need to get a new laptop and really thinking about going for a macbook.
Trading is not possible with a Ipad Pro.

Keep it simple, IMO. Lots of people think they need multiple giant monitors for dozens of charts and indicators. I've found that with my trading setup, less is more. I get by just fine with my two standard laptop PCs. 16GB RAM should be fine for lots of charts open in tabs. I mostly trade the daily/weekly charts these days, so I just set wide alarms in case of major fundamental news/events, and I basically just set-and-forget leveraged positions with stop losses.

My girlfriend loves Macbooks, but if you just need a machine for trading, it's totally overpriced. I'd much rather a $300 ASUS for this....
Hmm, you guys really have time for all these stuffs, so you make use of two computers for trading? Nice! For me, I don’t, I only make use of a single laptop and I believe it does the same thing, and I will also make profits as people using 100 laptops. Making use of many laptops doesn’t mean you will be making profit more than everyone, so it’s of no use. I’m okay with one.

Go what ever you want dude as long as you do have an internet connection which is that is the most important things to access the trading site , as long as you are not using only phone because mostly of the trading website are not mobile friendly so it is difficult to trade with it, it is more easy if you use pc or macbook any that has a big screen

Three or more monitors. A PC (nothing special). Backup generator. Backup internet connection;

Use your phone for trading is enough. Bittrex, Binance have good website for mobile trading. The best thing while trading with your phone is your can trade anywhere you want.  Wink
No, just no.

It is very difficult to monitor multiple charts, log in/out and operate multiple or even one exchange using a phone. For some reason poloniex logs me out every 5 minutes on a phone and crpytowatch likes to drop all my settings, and every time I switch back and forth between a chart, everything else is disturbed or logged out. Forget reactions to a split second movement, reaction to a wall-buy, or competing with other traders with your orders. The keyboard and mouse are very helpful for the process of order entry and split second movements.

Exchanges sites like Bittrex or Poloniex lag a bit to my PC sometimes the Browser is not responding at all loosing great opportunities to trade to a certain coin because i have a crappy core 2 duo system so my advice was to go for decent laptop with a stable internet connection go for mac book if you have a budget to afford it, for Ipad pro or even Android phone i think it is not possible because the price movement is not good for real time monitoring, you need to refresh to look for an update which is not convenient i tried it on chrome android version so it's not possible.
Funny enough, I make use of a core 2 duo system as well, although not crappy but I can say it has been able to stand the test of time and I am using it to trade on these two platforms beautifully well.

It might be your RAM is low and you have a lot of applications or websites with high RAM usage opened all at once which could be causing the lag. However, depending on the browser you are using on your smartphone, which in my case I use chrome, real life update on the charts and chart monitoring has never been a problem and so easy to do.

If you are Day trader and do Algorithmic Trading then you should have MacOS, Windows works fine, but MacOS is better for its flexibility and power.

Security is also better for MacOS. You must have big screen if you prefer laptop. Otherwise choose MacMini with Custom big screen. That would be the best option if you do trading at fixed place and much of the Mover or traveller.

For travelling any Mac would work fine. PM me if you need specs and specifics of Screens and Refresh Rate, Tech details.

A single machine which is powerful enough + good internet connection.

And lots of screens. You need at least three. Because you will need to trade in multiple exchanges in multiple markets(pairs). Since cryptocurrencies are not regulated, a lot of the big whales make or break the market on whim oftentimes for their own profit hence don't follow the market trend on only one exchange.

If you plan to be a day trader that requires you to monitor you investment most of the time, get a good desktop and a fast internet connection. time is important with day traders. But if you plan to trade long term, a decent laptop will do and a good Wifi connection is fine, you can even go with a tablet or ipad since after you buy, youll check check the price from time to time with no rush of selling right away.

you don't really need any special equipment for trading. you can do it with any old computer which has a browser and with the slowest internet connection you can find! you just do the traditional way of trading, you buy things low and then sell them higher a while later.
you can even do it on your cell phone!

the stronger hardware is only needed if you want to use special strategies, like high frequency trading (i don't know most of their names in English though),... for these you need a normal computer with the least amount of Ram and a normal CPU but the important thing is your internet connection which needs to have low latency. you need to get the data fast and send it back fast (executing orders for example). but that is not a necessity for trading or making profit in this market.

When u find that u r spending more time trading, u should set urself up with a multi display trading station.

It's easy to get a couples extra monitors and mount them up on display racks to either side of ur main display screen.

U might even find alternative use for them such as watching vids, live feed from ur cctv system, or multi display gaming Smiley

Benefits:

Additional display real estate so u can have more charts for visual reference

such as . charts from other exchanges
charts of other coins u like
feeds from sources like twitter, slack, telegram, etc

happy trading! Smiley

The most important equipment for a day trader is its internet connection, because a day trader worries of the price fluctuation over a short period of time, hour, minute and even second.

A good laptop or PC is also a necessary, but you no need to invest much on that, because a $250 laptop is sufficient.

Going for $1600 laptop, would not make any different

Just a laptop and an internet connection either in the form of data card or broadband connection will do.Select te network which offers high speed internet and also confirm that it does not gets link some times because you might be in a crucial stage to take a decision of either selling or buying coins. If internet gets stuck in that stage, then you would be helpless and would either face a loss or lose a good earning opportunity.I have come across such situations earlier. So,better keep this point in mind.

Yeah it is impossible to trade using an iPad or any of those android devices similiar to the ipads, because you can just touch on a wrong button and you messed it up buying with a different amount of money, or maybe you dump all your coins for dust.
So better to use a laptop, a macbook is not necessary because it is very expensive, i would never buy one of them because it is more than $2000 a simple one of them here in my country, so i prefer to buy a cheap one, but you dont need a lot of requirements in order to start trading, only the basic things.

Device brand/model or OS doesn't matter as long as it can be connected to the internet, you can browse the exchanges/wallets well and is convenient for you to use. It's up to you, just choose what suits you well.

BTW, I've seen several traders using a macbook and they seem to use it without a problem.

Anything can work for trading. Just make sure that you have a clean machine without any virus that can potentially compromise your login accounts and can cost you your entire trading money. Any machine will do fine as long as it can handle browsing and loads of Chrome tabs so you need to invest on RAM and a fast processor as well. The rest may just go on your bankroll.

i never think about it because in my opinion everything is the best trading equipment as long as it can connect to the internet.
as a traders the most important thing that we must have is connection,
we need a stable connection because we will use it to read live charts.
other than that we need it to make an orders for every trade that we make.
for example right now,
i am using Samsung Tab 3v,and you know it,right ?
it's a smartphone created in 2015ish,i made a lot trade using that thing and so far so good.
equipment is not the problem but the connection is.

how about buying an ordinary thing and use the rest for your capital for trade ?

Just wanted to know which set up is the best for trading, because i need to get a new laptop and really thinking about going for a macbook.
Trading is not possible with a Ipad Pro.

Thanks a lot in advance!
