This might sound like a stupid question, but I am a little confused. Is all tokens on etherscan (https://etherscan.io/tokens) erc20 tokens? And thus, can I hold all tokens that are erc20 compatible in myetherwallet? Thanks!

Yeah, majority of all the ICOs are compatible with the ERC20, and all your tokens can be stored there. But there are some that are not compatible with the ERC20, and they have there own blockchain which they have there coin.

For me I'll just use myetherwallet to hold my erc20 compatible altcoins holdings and this wallet is the only wallet that I used ever since.

of course, all tokens based on erc20 are compatible in etherscan.io. we can also look in ethplorer.io and can save our balance in myetherwallet. but we must be careful,do not to carelessly enter the web phishing, because if we go to the web phising, it can make loss of all our balance. remain cautious and also never tell people about the private key that we use...

Yep, use Myetherwallet and be safe.

Also, consider using Ledger Nano S to store your coins safe.

etherscan.io is the block explorer for ethereum and its erc20 tokens.
You can use myetherwallet or metamask as a wallet to store $ETH and all the erc20 tokens.

Yes all etherscan.io tokens are ERC20 based tokens, the tokens which are not listed there can be based on other altcoin like XEM.
And yes all the ERC20 tokens are compatible with myetherwallet.com and its probably the best wallet for ETH tokens.

As long as your wallet is compatible with ERC20, then one of your eth addresses will accept all types of ERC20 COINS. At first I felt a little weird, but that's what happened.

I think most altcoins are ERC20 (not sure though because all of my coins are ERC20). MEW is my favorite wallet when it comes to holding ERC20 tokens. For me it is the most reliable.

Yes.

Although some ICOs are developing their own blockchain and once it's running, they will exchange your ERC20 tokens for their own tokens.

Most of new ICO's are ERC20 based Token on Ethereum network but not all. You can store Tokens on Ethereum network, check the balance and transfer tokens in/out using www.myetherwallet.com, but if you want just to check balance for example after buying new Tokens from ICO or from exchange then you don't need to log in each time to myetherwallet website, more safe and secure is use ethereum explorer for current balance, I use this website https://etcchain.com/explorer because is more clear to me, I have around 15 different ERC20 Tokens in my portfolio and I find out this explorer more easy than https://etherscan.io
Most important is how you store and protect your private keys, that why hardware wallets like Trezor and Ledger Nano S are very popular.

Truckcoin, for example, is not based on Ethereum network but is still great project worth it to check out, ICO start on 1 December 2017. Very interesting is fact that TRKC is supported by existing company GoldeHill http://goldenhill.international/ with a little different approach, after Initial Coin Offering will end coin will be mined from their pool - not all coins will be distributed in ICO, and total coin supply is only 18.4 million, it's secure and anonymous currency that can be untraceable both from sender and receiver side, this feature can be disabled if needed, wallet will be very secure provided for both Windows and Mac OSX and on mobile phone wallet will be optimised with scalable blockchain (smaller size) for more information check their website https://truckcoin.io/

i think you said it all.i guess this will be well understood. Most ICO  been launched are based on ERC20  and this makes Myetherwallet one of the best alternative.Parity and mist is also a good option

Yep and yep, etherscan allows you to scan the ethereum network so you'll only find ethereum based coins on there. Myetherwallet is compatible with all erc20 tokens.
