My back is not doing great and because I spend most of my time on the PC i decided to get a proper seat.

I have my eye on the ergohuman all mesh, however spending 500€ on a chair doesn't attract me. On the other hand buying a cheaper one and then it being crap is worse.

Any suggestions? Cheesy

thus avoid discomfort.
It's better to be comfortable in whichever seat that you have. I have used an executive chair before and it was broken after 2 years.

Now I use an alternative sofa and this makes me more comfortable while in front of my desktop.

Just search it on the internet. Because for me, ergonomic problems only occurs because of bad habits like slouching when you use your computer.
I agree, even you have the most ergonomic chair that is created, if you have a poor habits, then it wouldn't make sense.
I also think the same, because a chair by very ergonomic can not correct bad habits, it is best to choose to have the best position to be completely straight on the back and upright, thus avoid discomfort.

Indeed. It is like on trading. A good trading site will definitely better, but if you are the one that is the problem because you trade recklessly without thinking about it, then it doesn't make sense. So when you use your computer, observe proper habits like leaning only on the chair, do not slouch, and etc.

The Steve Jobs yatch Is common news. If you haven't seen it in the media many months ago you are so far behind. And if you thought for a second that it was mine you already proved to the world how uninformed you are. Absolute noobs on this forum. Like someone with a yatch of that caliber would hang around this forum...

But that's how you cruise with iMacs from coast to coast and pick up chicks with. Who says apple products can't work that magic? Which was my response to a previous post.

Bitgeek ALToids and blitzcrank are dumb-dumbs.   Go buy a shotgun, find a dark ally,  and shoot yourself on the head. Thanks.

Haha these Mac fanboys are so easy to troll.  I guess the 15 year-old need some place to vent.

There are several people on this forum who have assets that could easily purchase that yacht.  We don't need to swagger around "big pimpin'" like those people in those music videos you watch.  I bought a shotgun, shot myself, and just like the Twilight movies you love I came back to life.

HM makes nice chairs but for about $2k more you can get a custom chair - the "tether" room at Google has all custom chairs - same place I ordered mine.

No. There are not. Maybe the winklevossss. And that's just a maybe. Such a yatch is $150 million. Not to mention the cost of maintenance. And even if they were bitcoin wealthy, like satoshi, such a transaction would be impossible without exchanging the coins for fiat and forking out a 25% tax.

And Google Facebook yahoo and apple all use HM chairs. Kind of a must when you are sitting for 8+ hours everyday pecking away on a keyboard.

Anyway you have no idea what the fuck you are taking about.

Winklevoss are late to the game.  I'm pretty sure Artforz could easily buy that yacht.  You only have to pay tax if you are in a country where the transaction is registered.  Most of the big trades that occur do so offline - most likely without documentation.

I am at Google every 2 weeks or so.  While the majority of their chairs are HM, the play room has custom fabric chairs in those nasty colors and the tether room uses those custom ergoson chairs.

As you noted the HM chairs have the cover tend to pile down towards the seat lip.  I'm about the same size as you and I had the same problem.  You can have a upholstery company put anchors into the fabric from the underside - fixes the problem.

Just stop talking.

Do you disagree with my assessment of Artforz?

If you want to go to Google I can get you a pass.

Do you disagree with my fix to your chair issue?

You get so riled up so easily.  I gave you props on your 4rth of July pic and made it my new desktop  Grin

You could try using foam overlay - depends on how hot it gets.  Money is not an issue for HM chairs - I just find for me they're not any better than the tempur-pedics that I got.

Artforz LOL.  That guy could have bought Jobs boat and a couple of Gulfstreams to top it off.

He has to have made a 2nd account since he's been silent since the run last year.

i don't get how the price is justified.. those ergonomic chairs are made of different materials? or are they just designed better than anything else? and if that's the case, why haven't we seen a knock-off cheaper version?
branding and design. materials too. most are made of plastic, the executive models are polished nickel.

i never had back problems with my chair but the leg rest is horrible. it just digs into your leg. there are numerous reviews stating the same thing.  i'm talking about this thing:

Most Herman Miller chairs make it impossible to slouch in. So your point becomes irrelevant.
But comfortable chair like Herman Miller can just make you lazy and more slouch when you sit on it a lot.

The Herman Miller isn't that comfortable. It literally makes it rather difficult to slouch. Have you never sat in one?

Is it because of that smaller back thing that some have? on the lower back.

I personally never sat in one, but I saw pics.

I dunno. It can be pretty uncomfortable. Maybe it's just me because I picked the large model but the mesh isn't that strong. It flexes and you dip in and the lip of the seat really diggs into your legs (behind the knee).

And I'm 200lbs 6'4". Not some overweight person that would naturally squash any chair.

There is one major disappointment with these chairs and that is the padding under the front lip of the seat where your lower leg rests. Just behind your knee. That padding is pretty damn hard and it stain your legs over time.

Also they come in 3 sizes. I got the large one. I wish I would have went with the medium size for a perfect fit.

Err - anyway...
Don't waste money on chairs, make pauses often and do exercises for back that will help you out
After a lot of sitting, I've come to the same conclusion (unless the padding's worn out). Stretch your fingers, thumbs, back, and especially legs. -Yes, to sit. I kind of ruin this by smoking during my stetch breaks.... hangs out of my mouth while I do the "itsy-bitsy spider," pacing around the dining room with disheveled hair, an overgrown beard, and raggedy clothes... but at least I've developed my character? Cheesy

Or get a Herman Miller and never have back problems from sitting again.

What is the price of Herman Miller?
Mine was $1.2k - the executive model.

Apple computer. No thanks. But this chair is very good in my opinion.

don't be silly. apple computer for the win. roll with style and quality bro.

Style?  You picking up your date riding on the iMac?

When your PC becomes part of the decor you have too much money.  If you have money to burn, hide the PC entirely and install a movie studio or dance floor... or for you maybe a waterbed with lava lamp  Grin

Back on topic, tempurpedic makes some decent chairs that are as good as HM and cost less.  I got an almost new one on clearance at Staples for $150 and it feels nicer with foam than my $560 leather/burled wood one does.
Yes. I cruise with my iMacs. Pick up all the chicks from coast to coast.

You need to learn to appreciate quality and not raw specs like a geek.

Lol quality from Macs that are assembled in the same facility as 30 other products.  You want stuff done right, you do custom bullet runs.  Gotta pay the price to control the dice.

Damn you're dumb. Just delete your account.

You need to learn to appreciate a little tongue-in-cheek comedy.  Don't be hating because you're late to the party in 11/2013 and missed out on the BTC/LTC run.  If you're going to post a yacht pic, make sure it's your own (not Steve Jobs').  Guess the Audi/BMW will have to suffice for now.  Kiss
Wow. So dumb. You know absolutely nothing.  Just stop posting. I'm not gonna waste any words on a pile of rocks.

I'd never by a mac, there's really nothing I like about them.
1. You can have a better screen for much less, and why would you pick a glossy screen?
2. I love customizing my PC, so taking my computer to the store every time I want to change something inside is not for me
3. Mac is not a gaming machine, and that apple keyboard is just crappy
4. I could have a better PC with overclocking capability for half the price.

But your chair is nice Wink

Herman Miller is massively expensive. I thought about buying one from china, but I'm afraid it would be a bad copy :\

You could make a PC 2x better witht he money yous pend on a mac Cheesy but if you have a lot of money why not?

What seems better about mac is the OS...

Cheesy
