What do you mean the wallet is encrypted?  Did you password protect it?
Yes, that's what it usually means when someone says 'encrypted' wallet for Bitcoin Core.

Thanks for the reply Lauda but you weren't the one asking for help here and if you were, my advice would have been very different Tongue

Based on my experience in this forum, usually and newbie are mutually exclusive especially when the newbie spells the word newbie as noobie.  For all I know, he might have encrypted a backup of his unencrypted wallet.dat file using AES-Crypt because a buddy told him it was rad protection and if that were the case, my advice would have been very different.  Wink

By the way OP, you can certainly trust Lauda with your wallet.dat file if you wanted to take that route.

Terminated.

Did I Lose The Coins?
No.

Am I able to restore the wallet and the coins will be there after blockchain syncs?
Should be fine after you rebuild.

Can I move the coins into another client using the wallet.dat file? I would like to sweep the coins into Electrum if possible. I have it already installed.
If you are in a rush, you could send the wallet to me or someone else that is trusted (watch out for scammers) and I (or they) could send the coins to an address of your choice. I'm not sure how much time rebuilding takes.

Rebuilding the database will not affect the wallet and will allow you to access the coins.  It's a win-win.
What do you mean the wallet is encrypted?  Did you password protect it?  Shouldn't make a difference once you rebuild the database... unless you forgot the password.

Solve this problem before thinking about Electrum;  you're causing yourself unnecessary worry.

I really need you guys expertise on this one. I sent bitcoins to my Bitcoin Core wallet before the blockchain fully sync’d. I tried to wait for the blockchain to sync but my system crashed. After my system rebooted, I tried to start bitcoin core, it says “error loading block database. Do you want to rebuild the block database now?” Ok or Abort. I did not choose an action yet. I have backed up my wallet.dat file but do not know the private key to the receiving adddress. The wallet is also encrypted.

Did I Lose The Coins?

Am I able to restore the wallet and the coins will be there after blockchain syncs?

Can I move the coins into another client using the wallet.dat file?

What are the consequences of rebuilding the block database?

Please Help! I'm panicking because I don't know how to access my coins. I am running the latest version of Bitcoin Core 0.13 for Windows 10. I would like to sweep the coins into Electrum if possible. I have it already installed.

Any information, or  fixes would be very much appreciated!
