What a journey of OG.

From the lower bracket up to the grand finals.

Another cinderella story again from them. We always see them do this on each tournament, while the others are struggling from the lower bracket. They made it look like easy.

Well for Team Aster, just another easy grand finals but as a 2nd placer.

Now with the conclusion of ESL One Malaysia, there'll be a month without much competitive Dota going on. Some random tier 2/3 tournaments would be along the way but not enough to satiate us for bets and such. OG winning this tournament isn't really that of a surprise to me, but the way they won it is something really great. Imagine dropping hard against Secret only to be the eventual champions of the tournament? That must feel good. Also, Ammar showed a lot to the crowd and the dota world that he's no longer ATM, and is still a reliable offlaner that you can rely on to bully the safelane to death Cheesy

Yeah, they never lost a single game today. They have 2-0 against Secret and in the Finals, they were able to sweep Aster. Never in my mind that I would think that they could defeat Aster that easily. I guess, it is Ammar's revenge on Aster for calling him ATM. I really thought Aster could give a little more fight than what they have shown. I guess OG is already prepared for TI. Only a month from now, we will see another big tournament but for now, I am content to watch the qualifiers and scout some good teams coming to the TI.

Game starts in about 4 hours from now.

The game is on right now. Watching from Twitch.

This is the first match. And it seems OG is winning this one. Bzm's Queen of Pain has already reached Godlike. The gold of OG is already 20,000 bigger than Team Secret's. OG's hero kills almost double that of Team Secret's. This match is going to be OG's it seems. But, of course, a comeback win for Team Secret is still very possible, although quite hard at this point.

This early, I congratulate those who bet for OG in this match. We'll see.

OG won that match-up against FNATIC, 2-0.

They are now against Aster in the grand finals and they have a huge lead, 2-0 in a BO5 series. Another win and they will get the championship. Aster still has their curse of choking on the big stage. They have chances to turn around the game in Game 2, Monet even getting a rampage,  but OG was just too much for them. OG was able to secure game 2 to take a 2-0 lead. Aster should get their acts together and win game 3. They are being stubborn, still giving Mars to Ammar even though they know he is very strong using that hero.

I thought you were referring to the matches today since you mentioned about the "last day of ESL ONE MALAYSIA 2022." The last day wasn't yesterday. It's today.

Aster was no match against OG. It was clear in all 3 matches. This new OG lineup seems the old OG in terms of aggressiveness. They're apparently under the mentorship of the real OGs.

That rampage was indeed big. But it didn't get me thinking that they could make a comeback. And then game 3 was a lot easier for OG; they simply dominated Aster. It's interesting how the PA and Mars switched teams and had a rematch in the same lane in game 3, but OG's PA did a much better lane than when it was with Aster.

It was just unfortunate that I had zero balance in my betting account. OG's odds were attractive.

We have come to the last day of ESL ONE MALAYSIA 2022

In the Lower Bracket Finals, OG will be facing off against Team Secret.

This is a rematch of their Upper Bracket Match. Team Secret won that match-up in a thrilling Game 3. But do not think that OG will easily give up this time around. They are on a roll since they were knock-off to Lower Bracket defeating Thunder Awaken and FNATIC. And I am sure, they are eager to take their revenge on Team Secret. The odds on this matchup, Team Secret 1.76 vs OG 1.99.

While waiting in the Grand Finals is Aster. Aster shows big in this tournament. They have shown how strong Chinese teams are in DOTA. But, Aster have on big weakness, the Big Stage. Often times, they fail to finish and others call it to choke in the matches where it matters the most. We will see if Aster finally got rid of their weak performance in the Big Stage and Finally get a Championship in ESL ONE Malaysia.

Game starts in about 4 hours from now.

Taking action in the lower bracket for today. I am rooting for thunder to win this match since Nigma is quite shaky since the new patch and they do not have a complete team. But I still believe this will go the distance.

Later, Entity will face FNATIC in another lower bracket match-up. Entity won earlier against TSM in short and decisive games. They can carry that momentum against FNATIC later. FNATIC without Raven is also shaky but expect to get a good performance between these two teams.

It looks like the new patch caused a lot of unexpected results and even killed our multi. More draws this time compared to yesterday and Talon continues to disappoint out of all the teams they'd drop a game and it's against Alliance.  Tongue

Team Secret on the other hand is slowly securing that second spot in group A they just need to 2-0 Talon on their last series which is more likely while Entity's chances looking slim after dropping 3 games and their last series is against Aster, at best I think they'll get one map.

Here is the schedule for today's matches. There is only 6 matches left in the Group Stage. We may see the upper bracket matches later after the group stage today.

It is clear that BOOM is out of the tournament even if they win both of their games against OG.

While Liquid still has a chance to keep their ticket alive if they can sweep TSM in their match.

In Group A, it is clear that Talon and Alliance are out of the tournament. Thunder, Entity, Secret, and Aster are qualified for the next stage of the tournament.

Group A looking one-sided as expected while Group B is a bit of a toss-up except for OG.

Was not able to take some action in the earlier games because of busy schedule but taking some for the last three matches today.
You nearly hit that multi but unfortunately, OG's level of play is on another level even if they're playing with their coach.

I'm looking forward to more 2-0's on the side of Group A as I have this mini multi for the second day and the total odds are at 2.82.

Yeah, OG thrashed my multi-bet. I thought FNATIC was able to pull it off in Game 2 when they are giving OG a hard time in the laning phase but sand king and arc warden switched lanes and the favor went back to them. A few kills later and OG snowballed and won the game. Just not my day. Hope to have better luck today.

4 teams will be out and the playoffs comes in.

Yes, the bottom 2 of each bracket is out of the tournament. Group A will be harder for those who lose today. It seems that the top three are already set to Secret, Entity, and Aster. Alliance, Talon, and Thunder Awaken got swept so  I think these three are just fighting for the 4th spot to continue in the tournament.
Yeah, while on bracket B, OG's on the lead. It's crucial for those that haven't won a single win because at the bottom. That's why even tomorrow isn't the last one but second to the last.

It's like going to be a decider factor and matches for them, so if they still haven't won some games by tomorrow. Then, they know what they should assume then.

This month is about to end with some good Dota 2 again while I'm remembering that we're just getting closer to the grandest tournament, TI. Just saying.

@OP, Raven of Fnatic and Miracle of Nigma is not playing on this tournament due health issue for both players. I’m really surprised that Fnatic manage to sweep Boom with a stand-in carry. There game 2 match is pretty intense that ended on a throne race run which Boom didn’t expect that Fnatic will sneak there ancient. Both Nigma and Fnatic is showing good performance despite there pos1 is out of this tournament.

3 Miracle- is unable to attend due to health issues,  Dreamocel will stand in.
4 Raven is unable to attend due to health issues, Palos will stand in.

Dreamocel is a revelation. So far, he is showing good performance against liquid and TSM. Nigma is still lucky to get a good pos1 in absence of Miracle. I am not familiar with Dreamocel but he needs to have a deeper pool of heroes as the tournament moves forward. So, far he has just used Druid and Void successfully. He used Bristle but lose in game 1 vs Liquid.

4 teams will be out and the playoffs comes in.

It's okay, Fnatic managed to win 2-0 against Boom but lost 0-2 against OG. Nigma managed to tie the series with their 2 games against TSM and Team Liquid.

Yes, it's still just the first day of the group stages. There are 2 more days remaining and tomorrow is crucial for all of them, those that are the bottom should manage to win their games tomorrow or else.

4 teams will be out and the playoffs comes in.

Hopefully this pans out. I only take handicap match because I am not yet sure how the teams are performing in this tournament.

What a game 2 between FNATIC and BOOM Esports. FNATIC was with a large lead but slowly BOOM was able to come back. When PL got farmed, FNATIC was not able to do anything about him. Even with a large lead, FNATIC was not able to win a team fight. So, FNATIC did the unthinkable, they avoided the fight and went straight to the throne and won. What a game.

I thought this match will easily go to Boom since they are fresh from their win in Gamers Galaxy but FNATIC was able to pull one from them getting 2-0.

Another update is that Miracle isn't going to play because of health issues and Team Nigma Galaxy still hasn't released on who's going to be their carry stand-in.

In Liquipedia, their line up is made up of Dreamocel, Sumail, Mind_Control, GH and Kuroky. I do not know if this is official. I have been searching but failed to find an announcement to confirm if Dreamocel is the official stand-in. It is just 7 hours before the tournament starts.

Dreamocel is good but certainly not up to Miracle standards. Looks like NGX didn't have enough time to choose for their carry because they resorted to someone who is already in SEA and is a viable option. Hopefully though Dreamocel won't be too much of a burden for Gh who always looks for open opportunities to get kills on the safe lane. Dreamocel is a conservative carry, and that may be a problem for NGX who is always wanting to get active on the map.

Yes, thanks.

The update was recent and almost all teams are ready. That's official, I've seen it somewhere that it is Dreamocel that's going to play for Miracle. We've got a few hours left before the first matches are going to be played.

This is a lot of games that shall be played and the first ones are Aster vs Talon, Entity vs Alliance and Secret vs Thunder Awaken.
Lets put up some links for that stand-in
https://esports.gg/news/dota-2/miracle-will-not-play-at-the-esl-one-malaysia-due-to-health-issues/
https://dotesports.com/dota-2/news/miracle-to-miss-esl-one-malaysia-2022-due-to-health-issues-nigma-will-play-with-a-sub

So its final and i would say a very huge disadvantage on having no miracle on Nigma honestly.

Too bad too that they recruited someone from the SEA server. The play style is very different from Europe teams. They will be having a harder time adjusting to each others game play. If it is another player from EU, it could have been easier. And they have very little time to adjust too. This is very tough for team Nigma but hopefully they can still perform at top level even with these challenges and handicap.

I have two teams in my eyes and that's going to be Boom Esports which recently won the Gamers Galaxy Thailand as the champion. And as well as OG.

Before placing any bets on who wins the tournament I would wait for the first few games to see who performance better.
Yup, it will be a long group stage but these times will also be a good time to bet. Maybe after a day or the opening day of this tournament would be the best time or by the playoffs to bet.

In my opinion, OG is a heavy favorite in this tournament. They have performed very well in the last tournaments they have competed in.

I agree with you, OG looked really strong in the last few tournaments. Getting 4th place in the Arlington Major was a good performance, and their loss for 3rd place against Team Aster was very close. The final might between the two teams again in Malaysia and at the moment it feels like a coin toss. Before placing any bets on who wins the tournament I would wait for the first few games to see who performance better. As for Team Secret I am not so convinced if they will pull through, I am rather rooting for Nigma Galaxy.  Looking at the groups I think that OG will be first in Group B and Nigma Galaxy second, in Group A it will be Team Aster first and Team Secret second.

In my opinion, OG is a heavy favorite in this tournament. They have performed very well in the last tournaments they have competed in.

I also like to see how Reso is blending in with his new team, Team Secret. They have outrageous plays when he stand-in on Riyadh Masters. I want to see if they continue to perform well. This is a good opportunity for them to refine their strategies before TI 11 qualifiers.

What team do you think will win it all?
