Gaming, Blockchain projects, E-sports, etc. is all the driving factors in cryptocurrency mass adoption. There are many more reasons, barriers that crypto space is still fighting to mug out of it.

There have been some coin and blockchain projects which covered the esports domain including Firstblood, Neverdie and some others.
None of these projects has been successful, even though these have had promising concepts. I think the time is not yet ripe for it. And I think that even new projects such as Unikin or Gimli can only be successful in the long term. Until then there will be new projects in this area which will likely beat older ones. It is simply an enormously changing field.

I wrote a little article about it, seems there are several ICOs aimed at esports betting

I have recently found out about 2 new ICOs Launching in Sept - http://gimli.io/ & https://unikoingold.com/

With ICOs popping up everywhere and eSports betting being a great way for kids to gamble away their csgo skins its only a natural direction.  But with the rise of Esports betting and it's negative media (underage betting, thrown matches) will this be a long term stable project or will it fad out quickly due to negative media?

There is also the possibility that if they do well in the start then the market will flood with them and scamming could rise (see csgo skins sites)

Any thoughts about the merging of eSports with Cryptos and Icos?
