I prefer lesser browser extension to be better, I'd put the burden of avoiding scam and phishing site on my own.
I just don't really feel good having too much extension because it means you're exposed to much more program created by some random people that you don't know of.

people's concern above about having too much third party extension is valid.
what you need is just metamask and you're done. no need to risk more than you should, even better if you used hardware wallet.

I would actually discourage people from using any randomly recommended browser extension. It's very difficult to separate reputable extension from the malicious ones. I personally do not prefer to use any browser extension. Especially not any anti-virus that runs from browser.

Spend money on getting a proper Internet Security suite and enable browser protection on real time basis. Would you mind sharing the source of these extensions?

Dude, I gotta say, it's pretty funny that you're sharing these browser extensions with us when we all know you've been using AI to navigate the crypto world. Newsflash: so have I. And yet, not once did you mention using your trusty AI sidekick to get this info.
Listen, if you're going to share tips with us, at least be transparent about how you got them in the first place. It's not like we don't know that AI can do all sorts of cool stuff for us crypto enthusiasts.
And honestly, those extensions sound shady as fuck - AegisWeb3 and Web3 Antivirus? Sounds like some sketchy company trying to sell me on their "protection" services. Guarit sounds even worse, it's just begging to be used by scammers to scam other people. I'm not buying what you're selling here.

Essential Browser Extensions for Safe Crypto Trading by mean of this extension for a token in evm chain right??
I just come to this thread and wondering is there any extension for trade. like "I never heard of it" haha. Token trading is risky especially with new token because the dev can do anything from honeypot buy and sell taxes and add liquidity every trade basically the dev can do anything.

To be honest it is going to be safe if you trade reputational token that available in coingecko or coinmarketcap. Trade new token is to risky from the hard code to their value after you buy it.

Using these tools has significantly improved my confidence and security while trading. They help ensure that I’m not falling into any traps set by malicious actors in the crypto space. If you haven’t tried them yet, I highly recommend giving them a shot, especially Guarit for its comprehensive and real-time analysis.

Stay safe and happy trading!

I don't want it to look like I'm trying to discourage you from writing good threads and post but what you just wrote there are crap and waste of time. You don't need all this as a trader, you wouldn't make money without understanding technical and fundamental analysis, you can't make money with what you just listed there neither does it save you from scam. You should learn about privacy and how to even protect your self from scammers and not through this extensions you mentioned.

My little advice, don't give up but you should focus on understanding about crypto so you can write with confidence. It's when you don't understand crypto you write things like this. I was expecting you to write about wallet back up, not keeping funds on exchanges, not interacting with some dangerous smart contracts and avoid scam exchanges but you are discussing what you don't even need as a trader.

I highly suggest not to do this, it really wouldn't be a good idea. Downloading right now with what we have an missing security would not be a smart move and I would suggest not to do it, because security would be a big risk and I would say that it would definitely not be a smart move on the long term, definitely wouldn't suggest it at all. I know that it is going to take some time and I know that it would not be too simple, but we need to figure out what to do and how to do it well enough.

I get that some people are doubting the situation a ton, but that is not a big deal and we could make it work no matter what. If we keep ignoring these and just doing it ourselves then we will be fine, if we trust these then if one of them gets hacked then we will be in trouble.

You bring up some great points. It's true that not all extensions are trustworthy, which is why it's important to research them before installation. The ones I mentioned, like AegisWeb3, Web3 Antivirus (W3A), and Guarit, are known for their reliability and helpful features. For example, Guarit provides real-time audit reports and detailed contract analysis, which many traders find valuable.
I completely agree that cross-checking information and using methods like burner wallets, virtual machines, and separate devices are excellent practices. These steps add extra layers of security and help protect your main assets. No extension can offer 100% security, so staying vigilant and proactive is key. Combining these tools with your own security measures can provide a solid defense against potential threats.

Thanks for the feedback and happy trading!
This is what I was looking for  and would have mentioned if I hadn't seen it. Once again for the one hundredth time, "don't trust, verify". And it is only with a burner wallets, virtual machines, separate devices that can be used to verify these extensions. And for me, I feel that the period of verification should be as long as 3 months just to very sure which may not be enough but it is the minimum.

Navigating the crypto world can be quite challenging, especially with the increasing number of scams and malicious contracts out there. I’ve been exploring some tools to make my trading safer, and I thought I’d share a few essential browser extensions that have really helped me. These extensions provide real-time protection and analysis, ensuring that you don’t fall victim to any malicious activities.
I do not understand what you means that the browser extensions would help in protection and analysis. I make all the analyses from the candle sticks charts on exchanges directly. As for the ones that you talked about, I do not do that, it is more about altcoins and not trading.

How reputable are these extensions though? because some of them can be malicious and installing randoms or too many can quickly backfire.

As for staying safe, I think the good old cross checking facts + compartmentalizing to reduce risk e.g. burner wallets/VM/separate devices do a good job. I've been doing such when dabbling to crypto esp altcoins and all went well. In addition, I don't think any of those extensions provide 100% security filter so you'd still have to do your own part of assessing situations.

1. AegisWeb3 – Real-time Detection of Scam Tokens and Phishing Sites
AegisWeb3 is a fantastic tool that keeps you safe from scam tokens and phishing sites. It constantly monitors your interactions with various crypto applications and tokens, alerting you instantly if it detects anything suspicious. This has been a lifesaver for me, especially when exploring new tokens.

2. Web3 Antivirus (W3A) – Multipurpose Safety Browser Extension for Web3
Web3 Antivirus (W3A) is another excellent extension that provides comprehensive security for your Web3 activities. It scans smart contracts for potential threats before you interact with them and analyzes transactions for any unusual patterns. It's a must-have for anyone serious about crypto trading.

3. Guarit – Real-Time Audit Reports and Detailed Contract Analysis
I recently came across Guarit, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite tools. Guarit offers real-time audit reports and detailed analysis of smart contracts directly in your browser. When browsing on supported websites like Dextools, Dexscreener, Geckoterminal, and Etherscan, Guarit automatically provides a detailed scan of the token displayed in the chart. It’s incredibly useful for getting a quick overview of token metrics, liquidity status, tax models, and contract holdings without having to dig through tons of data manually.
