It's going to be the same as owning a digital asset so this virtual real estate thing, they might have a value right now and may increase overtime. But most people would really be preferring the tangible real estate but I've seen many that are willing to invest into those games that have virtual real estate as they find the value of it, well we don't have the same thoughts as what they see with these virtual real estates.
I think virtual world estates may work only if those games are very popular. In other words you need to have real world fun hanging out in your virtual flat or land. If game isn't popular it completely kills purpose. That's why I prefer to stay away from these games. Something like Sims should do it.
I have to agree with you here. The game itself should be popular because if not, I don't think it will fetch a good price in the market. So which translates that not all estate NFT in virtual reality world can be acquired at a high price.
