Hmm, I've been sure that their e-residency is made just for trollong. They are doing smart moves anyway. Estonia is a great country with a fast growing economy and IT sector but unfortunately the people are still leaving it. Hovewer before moving all youfunds to Estonian crypto projects (if they will make any) you should understand that they are the part of the EU and under the EU jurisdiction which remains the chance that eurocomission (or someone else) woll force any crypto unfriendly law and Estonia will have to obey it.
P.S. Take a look at Switzerland, there are some rumours that they will do some crypto stuff.

Bitcoin tax havens are coming, there has been many attempts to destroy tax havens and many are still resisting against powerful countries since their economies depend entirely on the money invested from other parts of the world, and it seems to me that if bitcoin gets bigger to the point bitcoin is used widely then harsher regulations will appear in some countries but in other countries they will accept your bitcoin earnings with no problem and Estonia will be one of my lead candidates to become one of them.

The full article is very interesting. It isn't as perfect as one might thinks, far from, but the fundamentals are being formed and the community is growing. They don't have a blockchain currency, but I'm gonna move all my money there if they ever announce it. While other EU countries are babbling and disagreeing over trivial matters, Asia bans bans bans, and the USA is cracking down doors, Estonia is just doing this, alone. Might be the formula by which government and community can successfully merge into the digital world.
