Some scammers will once again take advantage of these hardforks by offering some free scam coins in exchange of private keys or ETC. I hope no one is that gullible to fall for these tricks.

Here's an important note from the article
Note: This ETC hard fork & upgrade will not result in a new token being created

I hope everyone knows that.
There are old buyers of ETH that just bought it and didn't even look at what is happening.
Once they come in and read the news about the fork they might really ended being victims of this kind of scams.

I still remember one with the fork of BTC which created BCH. A lot of scams are lurking in that era.
BTC hardfork any BCH is definitely a scammer always haunting cryptocurrency, talking about BTC creating BCH I think now it is still impossible for altcoin to do hardfork usually altcoin will hardfork to break their transaction block and for that I think it's still not
You people need to stop saying BCH is a scam coin, its a bitcoin fork for sure but with better features, i'd rather invest in BCH instead of few top 10 altcoins today, look how good BCH respond to bitcoin value movement?
I think you misunderstood our thoughts, please read more carefully, we did not say BCH scam. We only discuss the scammer usually utilizing some hardfork events and it does exist, you are too innocent to praise BCH with the lack of information about BCH so don't corner us here and the main discussion is about ETC

Great i'm glad that this hard fork is only intended for the ETC blockchain upgrade and it will not result in a new coin, for me it was a great move of ethereum classic developers since it will improve a lot the capability and security of the ETC blockchain, honestly speaking i'm tired of those so called hardforks that resulting in a new coin, because all of them was all after with easy money and because it was just a copycats we cant expect something new or any better!

reliable information, or lack of it, is the main problem of crypto industry, and uncertainty that you will miss-out some event and lost your crypto due to non-update on a particular moment, which is the case for many new projects/tokens, that announce their transfer on another chain, or swap on medium, and expect for the whole community to see it, which is not normal, and influence your holdings...

on the other side, i think this is not the case with ETC, and this should be easy, since no new coins and distortion for holders will be there, so just read on the website, or stay put if you just holding

This is not a chain split fork but just a normal upgrade, it says on the website that, Note: This ETC hard fork & upgrade will not result in a new token being created. Lack of research will make many fall once again for this petty information, many still lacks understanding in crypto space

What should make this ETC discussion give full information and use the link as a source, in addition to being worried about a scammer or phishing is a falsification of the news but here I believe because the source is through huobi
