This would be a fun bet to do. But instead of betting this on a casino or whatever platform that would offer this bet, I'll just put my money in bitcoins right now. It's better since there is a chance that the prices double if it gets approved or it will just drop in prices if it doesn't get approved. In the latter case, I will still have my money than losing my bet.

It seems to be highly a risky betting. The reason is that now most has given confirmation that the approval is an assured one. In such gambling event odds are found high for etf approval and low for not approved. So anything unexpected will make things worse.

Smart people will not considering gambling event as pale for make a decision. Don't need to panic. Bitcoin ETF approved or not, it will long live.

I'll vote to ETF rejection but the problem i don't have extra bitcoin to bet for now this is  what i saw from some people opinion and i think the ETF will reject. but hoping that ETF will be accept and the price will goes up.

Well actually if check on the odds, the YES option got the lower odds and you could know that there is a high chance that it will be accepted. Once it is accepted you could see that the price could get over $2000 so this is more than just a bet this is more like the future of bitcoin itself

Based on what site the odds come from?

The odds based on onehash when I write this post:
Yes: x2.049
No: x1.771

i'm not really understand about this but i just seeing the odds for this special event

Yes @1.54
No @2.46

as usual low odds had good opportunity to win the bets but i personally will skip this event

If you likes to bet on event like this, you cant made a bet by looking to the lower odds winning will make your bets win. for example: when the gambling site open bet for usa election, they open looks like hilarry won because they give lower odds for who bet on hilarry but then we know trump win the election.

I didn't expect odds like these: No @1.54 Yes @2.65 - From what I gathered chances of ETF approval are extremely slim.
At least that is what analysts are saying, so betting for 'NO' in this case seems like a very tempting prospect.
But these odds make me think that maybe there is second bottom in this, like some leaked info maybe?

Odds are useless. What do people know about the SEC? nobody knows what will happen, only the people responsible for the decision.

Odds are for random people. If there are people with insider knowledge they are not going to waste time voting on some poll, they will use their insider info to trade.

Realistically is 50/50 cause nobody knows.

Do not look short term. If you believe in Bitcoin, you should not matter about the decision next week. Even if the ETF will not get approved, the price will dump more or less but mid and long term I am sure the price will reach todays niveau again.

The price keeps growing, im not sure if im going to risk selling, we may see $1400+ before the ETF either gets passed or gets rejected which nobody knows, it is indeed a total gamble, so we will see what happens, for now im just holding and waiting for events o unfold.

Everyone knows the price will keep climbing with or without Winklevoss ETF, the question here is to profit from the ups and downs to make more BTC, and you must take risks for that.

Of course if it passes people that sold or short is FUCKED since I predict it will go to the moon.

Lol yeah it is a gamble, i would hold on to my coins and sell when the price will be $2000 or above.

I think Bitcoin has small chance to be approved, and what we watch now happened a lot, the price will keep going up, then in one hour we will watch big dump, in every event, the famous media that are involved in crypto currencies try to exploit this event, and the big whales always know what they have to do.
The chances are 30% for approval, if the COIN etf is rejected, there's going to be other bitcoin etf(s).  Wink

I will not participate in this betting but it is good to know there are site catering for this line. It seems it is leaning more in getting disapproved since no have lower odds. I'll just prepare my bitcoins for trading, selling my bitcoins just before March 11.
Sell half of your bitcoin before march 11 not all, don't expect big dump on price even if ETF doesn't get approved. I am placing bet on against approval, 1.5x odd is not that bad  Grin
well better to sell much higher than that because if btc will not be approved a big shake will happen to its current price that's will surely happen
and if things went to the other side you still have your remaining and still profits in your side though, placing my bets against approval too mate
i'm not sure yet if bitcoin already been embrace by many people around the globe.

Betting on this event would be good specially to gamblers and bitcoin users itself. Seeing on the odds above seems not exactly to be based on. I would skip this bet and i would only love to see on what would really happen this upcoming ETF.

You got the odds wrong, for yes it's x2.465 and for no it's x1.546 is what i see on my screen(on onehash). would like to know which site's odds you're referring to?

Those are based one how many people choose which one and from what I have seen on the site any bets of 0.011btc are from the site owner so nobody placed bets on it yet so those pvp odds are not to accurate of who thinks if it will get approved or not.

So as we know, some people think the ETF will pass and bitcoin will go $2000++
Other people think ETF will not ass and bitcoin will go under $1000 again

both are good opportunities to make more money

What would you bet? ETF passes or rejected? Odds change across sites.

We all know that odds doesn't mean much, anything is possible.

Bitcoin will grow based on community's view on the bitcoin and not with any news related to it.

ETF just create more sets of speculations resulting for a hype. If ETF is one of the straight to the point factor that will take the bitcoin price surges more then it's just an additional funds injected from the market by those investors and not with an addtional great numbers of new people entering the bitcoin world.

If the trend will continue and ETF speculations will established more reasons to believed that the price will increase more then I see $2,000 price range is just a piece of cake to breached.

I don't like betting on these events but if I had to I would bet for the NO bitcoin will no surpass 2000 usd mark during the month of March. Since that bet from the image I am seeing here ends on March 11 chances are even higher to win that bet.

I want to be positive about this because we are talking about here is the bitcoins price. I will put my bet that ETF will pass, because the SEC approved it, and if I am right about this, then we could make a lot of profits, especially those bitcoin users who holds their bitcoins for a very long time and are waiting for something like this to happen, because it is an opportunity to convert bitcoins in to fiat to have more money.

Could you tell which bet provider does offer this odds, please?

Especially the odds for 'No' seems pretty fair and a good risk/profit ratio sincemany people in speculation threads are not very convinced that the SEC is allowing the Bitcoin ETF. They also provide good arguments why.

There any sites taking on this bet since the date is fast approaching? Lips sealed

Directbet? OneHash? Anyone? Anyone? Huh

Not that I know of, but it will be interesting to double win: win the bet and then win after it is passed. If there are any prop bets like that please fill us in?

I don't think it will happen right now.

Etf don't happen just by magic!
The problem is that as BTC is completely decentralized there is no one to defend its interests, or at least no one official.
It seems people think that ETF will go through just... Just like that, because it's bitcoin!
I don't think it can happen, I don't do trading so I have little opinion here, but there is no reason to be so sure about ETF coming.

We might see a silly little crash in not long ^^

I'm still skeptical about SEC and knowing the Feds work behind the curtain and knowing the Feds don't have the fondness towards bitcoin or crypto currencies as a whole because they are afraid they'll lose their grip on the financial system thus it will be a surprise for me if SEC approves the ETF though if they do, it will definitely pave the way for bitcoin to go mainstream and it will surely benefit the long time believers like me.

I have done this procedure several times and everytime it worked very well. The last time was at the halving event last summer with a nice profit.

There is only one danger. If you set the short and long orders too close there is the danger that one limit is broken previously before the official event occurs and when price goes in the other direction then. So it is important to watch the price narrowly and set appropriate stopp loss limits when you have an active position in the market.

To be honest I bet on both by setting buy orders on my CFD broker which allows to bet on Bitcoin price with leverage.

I set a buy order when price goes under $1199 (short order) and a buy order when it passes $1349 (long order). I expect that the price will have big volatility on the days before and after the 11th March. No matter how the decision will be, I am sure the price will break one of the two marks.

That's the wisest thing to do-by setting your trading limits. I will rather have it at $2000 as against $1200, both ways it's s win win for me.

Not betting, but if i would bet, then i would bet it will be rejected
If OP is talking about the Winklevoss bitcoin ETF I think that this is the most likely case. The SEC delayed their decision for so long for a reason, and things aren't going to change just because time has passed. But even it's approved, there's no reason to believe that the latest bullish rise in bitcoin markets would also be transfered in the ETF's trading.
