Of course I don't think to mine on BTC, every GPU miner already knows it doesn't make sense if using a mining rig.

I mean, I hold a little bit of ETH coin from mining for future investment.

yeah, I also already save a bit ETH for preparing to stake because price of ETH as far as its a bit stable if compared another altcoins.

He has a doubt to find the good to find which is good for mining whether BTC or ethereum mate. As of I know bitcoin difficulity bigger than any crypto currency, so far I see good returns with the mining on ethereum with my GPU rig bro.
I hope you are in need to know about the good minable coin so have to choose the daggerhashimoto and cryptonight algorithms.
These algorithms with the Nice hash miner will be give the profit in btc mate.

I hope it don't happen for a bit as well but if that iceage kicks in with a .6 eth reward that will suck for miners.  Hope it dont happen but most indications point to like a month right?  Is it a certain block?

Vitalick also discussed the amount of stake to participate in POS with the new Casper roadmap will be 32 ETH instead of 1000 ETH.

Thanks for the "executive summary" Vann. Useful bits of info right there.

I believe 32 ETH is do-able. Surely indeed "loyal" holders will be happy because holding Ethereum makes more sense now. This is good because holders will get richer and volatility will be much less. I just hope this doesn't happen too soon while the remaining of my GPU rigs still have to at least ROI.

5% is crap for sure.  I'd do it for 10% for sure but 5 is a big negative.

Well 32 seems reasonable but if your margin of profit is crap then why.  If they hard fork to implement casper like they said they will probably have to do then you thing a ETH Classic 2 emerges.  I would have to bet so.

They said is 5% per year, even the US treasure debt you buy is worth lot more than 5% per year, so you will have the profit of eth price rising + 5% per year, for loyal holders this is good but for people who want profit, is horrible, imagine you buying a gpu and from that gpu bought you get only 5% per year, electricity free of course as staking is electricity free. So to roi that gpu you would need 20 years hehe, my point is, if you buy eth for stake profit then you will be wasting your time. Most people want fast profit. If eth devs dont give a  reason to hold eth other than that stupid 5% interest per year then i see a slow rise over time, maybe that is what devs want. Well on a bright side, right now holders dont get anything hehe, even decred which is pow and pos hybrid gives around 3% per 4 months which if you think about that will round up to 10%, that is double of eth devs will offer stake holders.

It's all about staking math, the minimum would end up being divisible by 4 based on how much eth is around, 100 million, the idea is to reach at least 10% staking and counting. So if eth rises to 3k then 100k usd to stake, that is what they are counting on.

The latest from the last developers meeting is the hybrid Casper model the dev's originally planned to implement in the second part of the Metropolis release with the Constantinople fork won't be ready in time due to a shift in the roadmap from implementing Casper as a contract on the main chain to a seperate beacon side chain instead. They called for the Constantinople fork to happen some time before the end of this year, without Casper.

No word if the Constantinople fork will implement a further reduction in the POW reward at that time, but that seems unlikely given the last POW reward reduction from 5 to 3 ETH was to offset inflation from reducing the block times from 40 seconds to 15 seconds.

Vitalick also discussed the amount of stake to participate in POS with the new Casper roadmap will be 32 ETH instead of 1000 ETH.

When?

You Selling?

You Staying?

Casper I don't think is done right?

You think it will fork?

Can you become a Master Node and how much you think it is?

If indeed it's coming and is super close to going to .6 ETH from 3 ETH you think ETH will shoot up or you think most will jump ship to equihash type algo for nvidia and prob Monero for AMD.  Thoughts?

Also since ETH has been deemed not a security by SEC people are speculating ETH futures lilke BTC has now.  You think this will happen.

I personally think its gonna rise and I will hold, I'm not sure about mine because it might be crap profit.  If I mine whats most profitable i'll probably convert to BTC or ETH tho.
