People should stop to using them. They have never responded this thread, tickets and tweets.

It's looking like they're getting several rewards for themselves (uncles + fees). Another detail that I had noticed: some addresses earn too fast "T" credits even with little hashrate.

It's sad that a pool of this size is acting that way.

I hope they have an explanation for this. I will try to contact them over Twitter. Because in this situation they are far away from profitable, other pools give orphans fairly. If they won't fix I will stop to using them as soon as I got block reward.

I have just found ethpool.org and I like the idea. The good thing is; if miner hits uncle he would get uncle and next block. So I'm praying to hit uncle Cheesy
I got my full block reward without an issue. Very good service.

You Are wrong, the uncle found by the pool are be awarded to a random active miner. But there's a problem... and probably you will never get one uncle, see why:
https://imgur.com/a/avHJSJf

There are about 7500 miners (probably all from the same guy) on ETHPOOL with hashrate between 2 mh/s and 6 mh/s picking up all uncles, take a look on these accounts:

I had about 15 GH/s (only 1 account address) on this pool and never got 1 uncle, now i see why...

Ethpool should only reward uncles to accounts with more than 100 mh/s to be fairer, i'm out from this pool anyway.

Yes you are right. I sent a ticket to them and they never responded. Basically they should give those orphans to miners one of the following conditions:

a) Miner must be active on the pool for a specific time
b) Miner must have a mined blocks

pool is such trash , all the money u guys make and miners are constantly going down , today had to reboot my rigs several times due to you awesome error
Code:
Socket was closed remotely (by pool)
ETH: Job timeout, disconnect, retry in 20 sec...
ETH: Stratum - connecting to 'eu1.ethpool.org' <91.121.73.83> port 3333

its really bad on this pool since we get zero rewards if we are down for an extended time , since we have to get all the credits for a block

comone guys this has been a problem for months now

better to make some adjustment to correct this problem, we seen bloodbath inside exchange and aside from that if we also got some serious problem
with our miners its really a stressful week to all of us, hopefully the pool will be fixed and find the longer solution for this issue, mining is good for long
term now but to break even we also needs some cash to pay for our bills.

Is anyone here that can help me understand how ethpool.org function?
I have a rig that works with 189 MH/s  and I don't understand when it will be my first payout. How long should I wait and how can I track the evolution till my first reward.

oh finally i was watching my miners and I notice some of my miners will get the message "share rejected by pool"

or cannot connect to "US1.ethpool.org:3333"

then disconect and the re-connect, and then some of the rigs cards only hash at 8.345 and some rigs even just die.

Its a persistant promlem, I will give it a few more days then I', m moving my 8GS to nanopool , its really fking anoying man

Well I'm using ethermine not ethpool but it's run by the same guy. For ethermine starting about 4-5 hours ago my rig stats are all over the place. I wonder if their US servers are having problems or being DOS attacked?

Is it any good to mine with 18.5MH/s in that pool or is the change of getting something at all too small? Solo mining always confused me.

Hello,

is this topic to the ethpool.org still right or is a other topic better?

One question: can i mine a eth block by luck as solo mining and additionally the i hit the credits in high from the actual diff or only if the credits in the same high as the eth block diff?

in the second, it is not realy a solo pool, or?

Regards
Willi

Effective hashrate going all over the place

My hash is solid here.
I dont have this problem at Ethermine, so something must be going on at ethpool.

I rediracted my 500Mhs to ethpool some days ago.
I have had some miners start mining at my failover pools from time to time.

Any problems going on lately ?
I am using the Europe server.

Both are OK, variance was my concern, but 5 ETH every 2.5 days sounds as good as 2 ETH a day  Grin

Hello I am considering joining this pool, got a couple of questions:

-What would be the minimum recommended hashrate to get a decent (at least 1 payout every 2 days) ?

-can I use a ETH address from btc-e exchange site or must be from a ETH REAL wallet?

-if I use the ETH wallet, should i use the main address or the secondary address (which i don't understand what is the difference)

thanks!!
indkt

You need 400MH/s to get one payout every two days. That is the same as you solo mine with your miners.
I have 300MH, do you think that it will worth it to attempt to mine here? or below 400MHz is a bad idea?
thanks!

The variance in the pool is small if you mine there. t depends on if you want to have 5 ETH in 2.5 days, or 2 ETH each day.

I used the https://ethpool.org. It is quick reliable. It pays the full block reward plus the transactions fees.

Yes, we plan to add the reported hashrate to the new interface as well. It is just a bit more difficult to integrate. Also not each miner does support this feature.

That is great.

I have some miners connect to the asia1.ethpool.org. A few days ago, the reported hash rate is displayed, but it is not displayed any more. Any reason why? They are the same miners as before.

We have added detailed statistics on the pools luck: http://ethpool.org/stats/luck

It compares the rate the pool is finding blocks to the rate in which it should be finding blocks given its hashrate. The last day was quite lucky and the pool found blocks up to 5% faster compared to the expected time.

Even for the 3GB cards, the hash rate drops fast. Maybe it is only safe to buy the 8 GB cards at present?

I think it is better to buy the 4GB or 8 GB cards now. In the future, new coins will require more memory.

The main purpose of large memory is to discourage the use of ASIC. So more memory will increase the cost of ASIC.

I've tried pretty much every mine and every configuration possible, but nothing ever shows up on the website. I've tried different miners and everything, but I am truly at a loss why it doesn't work. Using a 390 and Win10 are my only guesses. Quite frustrating...

You're probably doing something else wrong.

Windows 10 isn't the issue because i have rigs with win 10 and are working perfectly.

your 390 isn't the issue either.

Probably a configuration issue.

Post your configs here and there will be someone who will point you to the mistake.

is there a way to choose a payout amount on this pool?

No, you get payed out in full block amounts when it's your turn. 5 ether each time.

sounds good.. 5 ETH payouts...small payouts with decimals like 1.xx are a bit messy, thanks

Ethpool is good, it pays the transaction fee as well.

looking at the faq page

there are two mining options..

Stratum mode using Stratum Proxy v0.0.4 by dwarfpool

and

Stratum mode using QtMiner and vardiff support

any opinion which is better?

I have experimented with qtminer. in my case the regular ethminer is doing slightly better. Using less system resources.

I'm still mining at this pool and still very happy with it! As well as the fact that hash rate has to be spread.

I want to switch from Dwarf to this pool, so all I need to do is change in my eth-proxy.conf the hostname and port and everything else stays the same?

That is right. But you need to choose a server close to your place. According to the pool, qtminer is better than the proxy.

Was mining solo for a while, lately the hash rate has grown so much, same with diff that i decided to go back to pool mining.

I didn't want to join a pool that has a to high hash rate so i chose this one.

I have to say that after 2 full days of mining, i'm a very happy person.

So i can only encourage people to join as well!

"The fee part hurts a bit because applying a fee of 1% sounds low but if you take 1% from a serious amount of miners, that's a pure win win situation"
"And yes i know, bills have to be payed, server costs etc.. "

Anyhow, to the admin(s). Keep it up!

does qtminer support multiple gpu:s on the same pc?

Yes. If you not use -t or -opncl-device, it will use all the GPUs by default.

--opencl-device   When mining using -G/--opencl use OpenCL device n (default: 0).
-t, --mining-threads Limit number of CPU/GPU miners to n (default: use everything available on selected platform)

I just finally got my miner on and joined your pool. I can see my worker and Mh/s, so everything is OK.

But now an extremely embarrassing newbie question: how can I get my money?

I know I haven't got anything yet, but when I finally get some eth, how can I move it?

I know my coinbase, what next?

Start QtMiner using the following command: qtminer.exe -u <Your_Ethereum_Address>. -G

So you already have the address. The Ethereum will be sent to you directly.

No, you will need at least 2GB of GPU RAM to mine ethereum.

Today we have added the following new features:
  • We have added another server located in Asia (Singapore), it is accessible via asia.ethpool.org.
  • Instead of the number of invalid shares we now show an invalid share ratio and highlight all workers with an invalid share ratio above 5% (orange) and 10% (red).
  • Email notifications for inactive workers are now working again. You will receive a mail if your worker did not send a valid share for 30 minutes.
  • In the blocks overview of your account page we now show if you retrieved your reward for a block or an uncle

I started mining here couple of days ago. When I click my account link

https://etherchain.org/account/0xc168a39a8068c42a650e944ebfab87bfa4b1434b

I get error message "Error: Account '0xc168a39a8068c42a650e944ebfab87bfa4b1434b' not found!"

Is it because I don't yet have any ether or is there some other problem?

Unfortunately our hosting provider experienced electrical issues in one of his data centers which affected both our main and backup pool server. As our provider failed to comply with the agreed SLA we expect a compensation payment which will be distributed to all miners. As a compensation from our side the pool fee will be reduced to 0% for today.

We are sorry for the inconvenience!

It would be better to have main and back up pool in different cities. So that they will not be hit by electrical issue at the same time.

This pool is definitely not for small miners.

Status

    Current Hashrate: 46.9 MH/s
Note: The current hashrate is calculated using a 60 minute window. If you start mining on the pool it will take up to 2 hours till the displayed hashrate is accurate.
    Average Hashrate (last 24h): 32.3 MH/s
    Credits: 375.000b
Approximate time to next block: 6 days

I make about 1.2 coins/day on Suprnova so for those that have low hash rate miners your better off on another pool.  If you have 70+ this will probably work for you. So I recommend any small miners to look elsewhere for most profit.   If I can later pick up a couple more GPU for a total of 4 than I will move to this pool.

I have the similar problem. When I connect to the EU1 server, the qtminer have more chance in displaying the "wait for work". When I connect to the US server, I have fewer "wait for work". When it is waiting for work, the miner does not mine.

My ping to EU server is 50 ms, to the US server is 100ms.

I am not sure what you mean by "waiting for work"? Can you please create a support request for such issues. The pool was not that lucky during the last days, this might explain your reduced profits as well.

Regarding the outage yesterday, we are very sorry. The underlying root cause has been identified and eliminated.

ethpool.org works with every card, you will just need to wait some days till you receive your block reward.

EU-Server seems to be down.
US-Server works for me...

Since i'm located in Europe and ping-times are much lower for me on EU-Server than the US-Server, i'd prefer the EU-Server.
So ethpool-admins: please fix asap!

Thanks,
djoser.

The EU server is working now. It would be better if we know the maintenance or other technical care before the server outage.

Currently qtMiner does not support failover pools. Such a feature should be added in an upcoming version of Genoils CUDAminer (which works as good as qtMiner for AMD based cards). So we will recommend switching to this miner as soon as it is released.

When do you think the new CUDA miner with the new failover pool feature will be available? I think Genoil is on holiday at the moment.

Time will tell how much improvement you will gain by joining a server that is closer to your location. In theory it should decrease the uncle rate of the pool as well as the number of stale shares.

Well CPU mining is still supported on the pool. It will just take time (some hours) till the stats are visible but if you use our stratum connection the vardiff module will adjust the difficulty over time so that it matches your miners speed.

The share difficulty of the pool is optimized for GPU mining. This means it will take a very long time to find a valid share using only CPU mining. Generally I would advice not to CPU mine Ethereum as it simply will not yield a lot of income given the current difficulty.

Our 0% fee promotion has ended. Furthermore we have added support for the new stratum enabled CUDAminer from @Genoil. Please note that the stratum enabled version is still in beta and may contain some issue.

You can get the new version from https://github.com/Genoil/cpp-ethereum/tree/stratum/releases (beta 3). To mine on the pool simply start it using the following arguments:

ethminer.exe -G -S ethpool.org:3333 -O "address"."worker"

ethpool.org - Predictable Ethereum Solo Mining Pool

New: US-West based server added
New: Asia based server added
New: EU & US based servers
New: Added eth-proxy support
New: Integrated Stratum miner & VarDiff support!

For detailed instructions on how to start mining on the pool check out our homepage.

Features
  • Anonymous mining
  • Optimal mining performance due too integrated stratum miner & VarDiff support
  • DDOS Protected
  • Predictable solo mining
  • 1% fee
  • Automatic payments
  • Professional helpdesk
  • High pool hashrate (~100GH/s) guarantees stable payments and a low variance
  • US, EU & Asia Servers

We tried to combine the best of solo and pool mining into a new payment concept. The new concept awards the full block reward to the miner who did contribute the most unrewarded work to the pool.

The system works like this, every miner starts with 0 credits at the pool. Each submitted valid share increases the credits of a miner by the difficulty of the share. When a block is found the miner holding the most credits will be credited the full block reward and his credits will be reset. This way each miner will receive a predictable payment as soon as his credits at the pool equal the current block difficulty (+/- a few credits caused by the global variance of the pool). You can see the current ranking table at ethpool.org/credits.

As a side benefit, the pool never holds on to any funds. Block rewards are paid in full (meaning uncles & transaction) immediately after 10 confirmations.

All currently existing ethereum stratum pool rely on a local proxy for the stratum connection, which introduces an additional delay. That's why we built the stratum module directly into the ethereum mining software.

Getting started
For full instructions check out our FAQ: http://ethpool.org/faq
