lol eth is cheap right now if i had that much to invest id buy 20k of eth 10k of btc and use 10k to build around 4 rigs to mine eth thus spreading your risk a bit.

great advice, thats what I would do too..

forget about 16 gpus per rig, but you can do 5-6 gpus per rig

ok thanks for your answers

16 gpu rigs with a motherboard of 4 slots and then a pcie multiplier in each slot. but haven't testet it yet

16 cards per rig tho , i loled

that's what I'm thinking... buying the btc/eth with that money is probably the better choice (but less fun).

thanks for your inputs, going to think about it (specially the 16 gpu idea...)

The first problem for me is the fact that you're excepting to put sixteen GPUs on a single motherboard. If you can put atleast six, you'll be happy enough I think !

16 gpu? are you joking, talking about instability there would be underestimating it

there is no way you can do it with 16 gpu for one rig, buy more rig, instead, they are not that expensive, you cna do one for less than $400 if component are used

Hello there

I need your advice with the following project idea.

For example, 10 mining rigs with each 16x Radeon 480x and a electricity price of 13 cents.
Approx. investment is 50-60k $

Do you think this will break even or is it way to risky giving the DAO/ETH thing?

I wouldn't risk that much money:

1) rx480 hashrate is just speculation

2) eth is not is a good situation now and not really that profitable

3) can you tell me how you will build a 16 gpus rig?

profitability has gone way down because of the whole DAO situation and there is not much POW time left..
so your ROI is questionable since your electricity is not so cheap..
the problem is we dont know much about RX 480 mining potential yet, so you cant actually calculate anything.. only speculate..
