In recent days, BTC prices are showing good signs and growth momentum. So I believe the organizer will change things at the present time.

Good signs and is being pretty resilient recently. The market again took quite a drop but btc seems steady just above 7k at the moment. I'm not sure about what other people are saying that a drop to 5k is imminent, but bitcoin is showing good signs of resiliency.

The price of ethereum has dropped too much. I did not expect such a situation. It had to last around $ 400. I guess the bull has arrived. Etehreem will also be introduced.

Bitcoin is a “cryptocurrency” Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are competing against existing money (and gold) to replace them with a truly global currency.
Ethereum is a “token”. Ethereum does for contracts. Ethereum’s innovation is that is allows you to write Smart Contracts: basically any digital agreement where you can say “if this” happens, “then something else happens.”
Both have the potential to grow separately and are leading the kind of coins. Therefore, the growth of BTC and ETH is not debatable.

It is hard to say what will happen with ETH in next BTC pump, usually all altcoins follow BTC on a rising path - but recently this is not the case. ETH is lost around 500$ in last 3 months while BTC has maintained its value at pretty much the same level.

If we check December 19 of last year, price of 1 BTC is reach 19k+ and 1 ETH at the same time around 800$. When BTC is start to lose value ETH is start to rise more and hit 1400$ (Jan 14, 2018) in time BTC was down some 5k$.

So in one point of time ETH was worth 10% of BTC value, this is the best that this coin managed to do for now. In my opinion ETH can one day reach at the same point, 10% of BTC value - so if one day value of BTC hit 50k $ maybe ETH can be 5000$.
really weird. All money are pouring bitcoin instead of another coins, not even ETH. ETH is bleeding severe. I bought a lot of eth and waiting for pumping. ETH is still worthy to buy?

under these circumstances it can be seen that BTC has a better chance than ethereum, although it does not cover the possibility that ethereum could have taken over, But BTC is better right now, and ETH become so bitter

For me, there are two important coins, bitcoin and etherium.
For me, bitcoin and Ethereum have great growth potential. Each of them has its own name. Under bitcoin, a whole infrastructure has been created - many shops now accept it for payment, and Ethereum has huge platform capabilities, it is more than just a digital coin.

While it is rather difficult to say how bitcoin and ethereum will grow at the end of this year. You need to have these two coins and both should grow well in value. However, I now prefer to invest in ethereum. It has now fallen very much in price and, given its planned improvements in scalability, it must have a very high growth when the crypto-currency market starts to rise. Now there are also a lot of different promising coins and tokens, which are able to give even greater profits than these two leaders of the crypto currency. To do this, you need to understand very well the intricacies of the crypto-currency market.

Do we know when the announcement by SEC is due?
To make this work it'd be handy to have the exact time the announcement comes - so as to make a fast maneuver on sell or hold.
September 30th. We should be seeing some upwards a few days prior to the announcement, this could be the perfect opportunity to cash out some profits.

Chances are the ETF will get delayed or rejected, this could trigger a small downtrend (it the prices went up before the announcement) but it shouldn't last that long since the market isn't really expecting it to be approved, so the shock wouldn't be that big, but it could give you the opportunity to buy back.

Hi,
I'm thinking of buying further into Ethereum and Bitcoin as and when i get paychecks.
I've read so many conflicting views on the top altcoins - that i would rather go with a 'safer' bet of Ethereum + Bitcoin.

I'm hoping to cash out somewhere near the top of the coming bull run and then buy back in during the subsequent dip.
At the peak of the next bull run, which out of the two do you predict will have made most profit based on an investment at the current prices?
(for reference: Bitcoin is currently at $7033 and Ethereum: $288)

Are they predicted to go up more or less in tandem. I.E: maybe they both go up 200% value in USD at the peak of the run, or they both go up 350% in value at the peak. E.T.C
Or is one favoured to gain more? I wander as Ethereum appears to be up shit creek at the moment, and I've read a lot of people saying it will take a 'long time' for it to get back to where it should be. If this is presumed so..... wouldn't it be wiser to invest in Bitcoin now - and sell out at the top of the run, then buy back in with a mixture of Ethereum and Bitcoin?
Or am I missing something..

I know I should just HOLD, as i don't really understand this market, but I do like speculating  Smiley

I would go crazy over investing with bitcoin. Bitcoin has been so unpredictable because the prices are always changing but I'm glad and proud to tell that I've had a good gain through it. I have been earning and investing with bitcoin during this time where the prices aare low as a preparation for the bull market.

for the time being, it would be better to avoid markets that we have been accustomed to hearing, because there are more dramas and FUDs that are developing, so that they are not good and also have the potential for future price drops

I think bitcoin still has the potential to create very high profits from eth. We know that eth is falling and it is difficult for eth to recover quickly and can create high profits.

As a currency, the BTC could be better.

According to my previous experience, the price of ETH and other coins will go up after Bitcoin Bull runs,
essentially the BTC will remain the highest.
My advice is to buy Bitcoin first, then after BTC Bull starts after
you can sell, at that time you can choose Ethereum to be the second choice followed by another coin.

Buy, sell and store real cryptocurrencies
IMO, ETH will be making the bigger % of gain since the price is so low now. But I don’t suggest you to go all in to ETH. Crypto is full of surprises, I suggest you to buy both coins to be safe.

After this hopeful pump I'll then go in for some ethereum if it's still down as the long-term profit margin - provided it could really get to 10% at some point would be very profitable.
..

We will know the result before end of September. So better to watch the market as bitcoin have some sideways and if you profit some better to convert to usdt and buy back if the price dump more. I sense you want to do some marginal trading.

The least you can do is don't be a FOMO by all of these.

At the current ETH price, if the bull market starts, the ETH will increase the most since the price of the ETH is only 280$ a modest price for the best altcoin.Expected prices will reach 1500-2000$ when the bull market is ready

Yes that is right and for me in my own opinion if ETH goes really wild now price plus volume for sure all of the altcoins will follow also and will set their new ATH. But right now all we have to is to wait and be patient all time.

Basically if we base to its individual value, definitely bitcoin will probably have to gain more profit if the bull will run again because of capital wise you need a huge amount to buy for 1 BTC and it is proven that in business big capital has a return of big profit.

Thanks very much for the replies and insight.

I think 60/40 sounds about right to me.
I'd like to increase my investment by doing a bit of trading while waiting for the bull-run. I also think the hype around the ETF is a good opportunity for a profit.
Do we know when the announcement by SEC is due?

As currently it's only at about 4%. So if history repeats itself, and the bitcoin dips while Ethereum contiunes to pump for a bit - it'd be a good return from where it's at now. Although if the only time Ethereum has a chance of hitting 10% is when bitcoin is in decline it may not be the 20x return i was just dreaming of  Grin

Bittraffic, yeah that's always the fear. What if i miss the wave. Frankly i get very anxious when i've cashed out to fiat and am not holding. (like right now as i 'predicted' this to be a bull-trap last night)  I end up staring at live charts all day as a result. Waiting for my moment. I really wish you could somehow have both a stop-limit buy and stop-limit sell simultaneously with one pot of cash. I guess that'd be a bot... It would save a lot a faff for sure.

More like " I do like dreaming". You're not the only. Of course a lot of the people here are already thinking of cashing out thousands of USD while having just 5ETH in their account. Dumping every time the price spikes isn't really hard to think of but when you are really there executing trades, you'd worry whether the price really will dip after a slight spike.

Hi,
I'm thinking of buying further into Ethereum and Bitcoin as and when i get paychecks.
I'd recommend you to go 60% btc and the rest in ETH.

BTC price could up in the upcoming weeks following the uptrend that we've seen over the past few days which I believe is the recovery phase. Since Septemper will be the month when the SEC will make announcement regarding the Bitcoin ETF (which will most likely get delayed or rejected), there could be a pump in the price due to the hype around it so you could  make some small and decent profits, if you're going for a short-term strategy that it.

If you're going long-term, current prices shouldn't matter so it's better to just buy now and wait for the next bull run, which may or may not come this year. Overall, allocate a higher % of your invesment in BT (it's always a safe bet), Ethereum could go always go up if it follows the btc uptrend.

Too hard to say, nobody knows, but BTC is secure investiment, I believe BTC can grow 100% till next January, instead ETH I believe can grow 300% i same time.
My opinion if you can do a great investiment go 50/50 buy both coins. Small investiment with low risk with BTC cause of security investiment, but if you really want to keep the risk go with ETH.

What has happened before, the price of ethereum or other altcoins will rise after Bitcoin Bullrun and prices stabilize.
So buy Bitcoin first, after BTC Bullrun sells at the top. And buy ethereum.
Maybe that's all I know.

I suggest BTC. Because right now all the people are looking at the price of the BTC and they ware waiting to buy the BTC. For past few weeks we didn't see a good price movements in ETH. But that doesn't mean that the ETH is not good. But for now, I think buying BTC will be a good option.

Personnaly, i prefer to invest in Bitcoin vs ETH or other altcoins. The gains could maybe be less, but the loss is also lesser. For the moment, BTC is more bullish than altcoins. Altcoins fall more easily.
