Hi,

A long time ago I deposited some ETH on the EtherDelta exchange and lost access to my account somehow (I dont remember the exact details), the amount was worthless so I never really looked into it

Now that amount is worth a few beers and I can still see the coins at etherscan.io

I have written down the private key and tried to enter it in MyEtherWallet but it keeps saying it's incorrect
the private key has 62 nummers/letters

What can I do in this situation?
would like access to my coins
In this case, everytime whenever I go for checking my Ethereum address, I personally don't face any problem till now. But previously, I heard it had some hacking issues and so many people lost their fund and it was at 2017 or 2018. In your case, you may be missed some character or something like that.

If you deposited the tokens into their etherdelta then your tokens are gone because the exchange is dead but if you did not deposited the tokens into their exchange then the problem is that you have misspell your private keys or you don't know your private keys, if you still have the keystone file and you know the password use it to access the wallet

I tried to log in with my previous (2017) private key and it worked fine on etherdelta and forkdelta, I think you lost 1 letter or accidentally changed 1 letter so it makes it difficult for you to enter the wallet, maybe you can import the private key into metamask then you can connect metamask with etherdelta or forkdelta

You should try to connect yourself on Forkdelta instead of Etherdelta. On the other hand until and unless you remember the proper keys of your Ac you won't be able to access your account. If only one alpha or numeric key is shuffled you can not access your Ac.

When I made my EtherDelta account back in the days I instantly copied all the info to a notepad file on an USB
so I am just copying the exact private key from there and it's not working on Forkdelta and neither on myetherwallet

but I guess i should just forget about the few beers hehe

If you have already imported to other wallets like Metamask and still don't work, your keys must have been incorrect. There is no other way to access your wallet but the private key and if it's wrong then nothing left to do. You're not the only one who thought of checking back the wallets we have because we have some tokens there left hoping to get at least the $45 worth of ETH is not worth more than $300.

There is no other way to get some of your beers other than you are still logged in to your etherdelta acc and copying the private key one more time to be sure. Or with a little time consuming, please search for your private key manually on the keys.lol site assuming that the 2 missing hexadecimal chars are the first or the last.

I couldn't enter EtherDelta either with the same key and address

My funds are on etherscan yes, just can't find a way to access them

All I wrote down after opening the EtherDelta account was the address and the private key
Don't have any file key im afraid
Etherdelta is dead and that's why you can't enter on this dex and i have been losing some money caused by i have deposited my coins on etherdelta hot wallet.
You can try to use forkdelta to make sure if you were able login into your account.

Just try that and if can't log in into your account and you may face a big problem

Tried the forkdelta but getting the same message that my private key is invalid

Guess there's no other way?

You might have missed some characters from the private key. Just try to access your wallet through private key on myetherwallet website or through the Metamask browser extension. They are the easiest way to check if your private key is actually correct. Check the format of your private key they are mostly of 64 characters.

I tried on MEW but without success
I tried adding 0x in the beginning so my key would be 64 characters but it won't let me click Access (and when I press enter it says verify lenght -- I am 100% sure its 64 characters, counted many times by now)
Apparently I am two characters short? because if I enter two random digits it allows me to enter a wallet

iirc etherdelta works the same way as forkdelta where you have to deposit ETH to their platform (contract) in order to exchange. If you mean that you still see your balance at your own address, that means you only logged in and haven't deposited any funds. Your ETH should be fine.

You can still try to import your address on some wallet platforms such as forkdelta or metamask with your private key.

What I think happened was that I made an account on EtherDelta, sent some funds over to the address they gave me, copied the private key and saved it well
After I couldn't log in anymore somehow

Now when I try to import account at forkdelta I am getting a message that the private key is invalid

Anyway, you are facing a problem with your private key, because you cannot access your MEW wallet. This issue is not related to EtherDelta, as any user who has access to their wallet will be able to use this exchanger without hindrance. Although I recently tried to access EtherDelta too, but I failed. Most likely this resource is no longer working. You should check through your wallet via Etherscan, because your funds should be on it, and not on the exchanger. Try to find the file key and password from MEW if the private key doesn't work. Moreover, the secret key is not always 62 characters long.
