I would dare not compare these two coins but if there are certain things to pinpoint, it's about which on e worth investing and their transaction speeds. I think Btc is worth investing in than eth and when it comes to speed of transactions, I will choose eth so I think the top cryptos are all doing well.
The Ethereum blockchain have a whole lot of advantages over bitcoin talk in terms of speed of transactions. Also the use of decentralized applications on the blockchain of Ethereum. This has made the Ethereum blockchain network admired by many developers. However this does not mean ETH would beat BTC in terms of value.

Comparing ETH to BTC? They are different on any terms but I don't really believe that ETH can easily replace up the King of all crypto in a short span of time.
Theres a possibility but we wont know on what happen on future.

I agree that Ethereum is a very good coin but still Bitcoin is the king. Bitcoin controls the market. When it rises all other coins also rise, when it drops, the whole market comes down. I still doubt that Bitcoin has any competitor yet

I think it's stupid to compare any coins with Bitcoin because Bitcoin is the creator of the cryptocurrency, and all the other coins are just an alternative to Bitcoin

I agree. There are some things that ETH cannot do and the only bitcoin can. The popularity of bitcoin worldwide since 2017 is very high and the crypto lovers are still increasing since then. ETH is better when it comes in processing but what if BTC already solve the problem on fees? For sure there will be many more establishments that would accept bitcoin and adoption will expand world wide.I do like ETH for some reason the value of it also increases in just a matter of time but I believe that there is nothing wrong if BTC and ETH will be working together in the future.

BTC will continue to remain on the top of the coins as it is the king and the leader in this space. ETH remains the top of the altcoins and with btc rise ETH will also continue to grow and expand. There are advantages and disadvantages for both coins, maybe speed of confirmation, but always there Bitcoin is the starter of this crypto world and Ethereum is the king of altcoins.
There is always a solution for everything. We can't deny the fact that the problem btc was facing was that of slower confimations of transactions and the higher fees. However, some may convert their btc into eth just to lessen the fees and to make the transactions faster than the usual btc tx's. With this issue, traders are still preferred btc. Let us see how eth will surpass btc with this said issue.

All the reasons are valid, but the whole community are still in support of Bitcoin because this is the one that started it all, speed and transaction can be resolved and the community can find a way, the whole community believes that Bitcoin should lead us to the full adoption of cryptocurrency before the other coin can take over if they had a chance to do so.
Bitcoin is the most developed blockchain network and in fact it is dominant. There is no chance to overcome its predecessor at ETH, it is important to just take the 2nd place and hold it tight.

Well, BTC is the trendsetter, therefore will always be the most import and loved cryptocurrency. Ethereum focus is on the DApps and follows a similar ideology. I personally believe they will coexist, probably in the near future ETH change its expects to also serve as a payment method for commerce, not only to pay the network.
Perhaps at some point, BTC will serve as a currency for "big" stuff, like buying a car or a house; and ETH will serve as the common currency for the day to day expense.

BTC is the mother of all the crypto and it will take a really long time for some coin to beat bitcoin IMO. Yes, the biggest drawback of bitcoin right now is the speed which they are actively trying to fix.
There's always an advantage being the first and being the basis of the market, Bitcoin will remained as the top coin around even there's still issues with transaction speed where the team is trying to figure out which will be the best solution.In terms of investment purposes, people will also be attracted to btc as there's only limited supply that eventually if all already been mined, value will increase far higher if everything around the industry will go accordingly.

I think bitcoin and eth are both crypto currency coins that are both potential and very popular with the public. But public popularity and trust in bitcoin is so ingrained that bitcoin can continue to lead the crypto currency market. Bitcoin and eth continue to compete even though eth technology is better than bitcoin technology but it is not easy to defeat bitcoin. Maybe someday if the community is more aware of the benefits then it will switch to eth. Now the community still maintains bitcoin because bitcoin is still potential and provides big profits if invested or used for trading.

I do not care how many things ETH can do better than bitcoin, there is one huge issue that will never be resolved, the immutability of the bitcoin blockchain is absolute while this is not the case with ETH as demonstrated by the DAO incident which led to the ethereum hard fork and the creation of ETC, ETH is great for trading and making money with it but that is it, I will never hold my money long term in ETH because of this, if they can reverse transactions once they can do it again and as such they are no different than banks. It will be like substituting salt with sugar or vice versa which cannot be because each has different flavor.
Nowadays, people cannot use either as a more convenient and faster alternative to fiat money, as well as a more stable one. It is precisely the overcoming of these three criteria that is capable of revolutionizing the market of means of payment.
Eth can be superior in transaction speed aspect, but it doesn't offer any threat to bitcoin leadership on the market. On the other hand, there are other altcoins which offer risk to eth 2nd position: eos, neo, tron and so on.

If you compare these two coins, then of course Bitcoin is much better. because it is the most popular and it invests a lot of people. But if you compare ethereum from any altcoin, then I will tell you that it is the best among the altcoins and you can’t even argue

Don't really know what is happening with bitcoin but it seems that is because of the ban in China for miners which will lower those who verify the transactions. Even with a good amount in fees the tx time is still way slow than before.

Bitcoin or ethereum, both have great potential. It's just that ethereum is moving a little slowly. And bitcoin cannot be replaced.

Yeah if youre talking about the speed, of course eth is faster than bitcoin for transaction. But most of investors will choose btc instead ETH because they know Bitcoin is legend of the crypto, without bitcoin ethereum will not exist.

ETH and BTC certainly have their own advantages and disadvantages, but with all the advantages ETH has is still not enough to match BTC. becoming the king of altcoin is a very remarkable achievement for ETH.

The name bitcoin has built alone is more than enough to retain bitcoin on that seat for the rest of life. If anyone educational institution is to introduced blockchian technology into their course today, I am sure their reference point will always be bitcoin. I therefore really do not know from what angle ethereum wants to come to topple bitcoin. If OP says speed, they are not both perfect because many people still complain of ethereum transaction speed a lot. Secondly now that the basic thing ethereum relies on for growth which is smart contract is gradually going to fade away too as There are no much new ICO again being registered newly.

You can say ethereum chain is a bit faster than bitcoin but not that ethereum too is that best in the market to overtake bitcoin. So why do you think it is now that there are so many people even competing with Ethereum, while it is possible for BNB and EOS to overthrown ethereum. My friend, it is not bitcoin you should fear for, it is really ethereum that you should fear for, because speed or no peed, bitcoin will always remain dominant while we already have some projects that could send ethereum packing.
I really don't pay attention to some articles because I know it's irrelevant and the publisher just want to have traffic on them it's website. Fact remains that eth and btc are the top rulers in the market including xrp who has also maintained the 3rd place over the period of time. But eth can't go over btc for any reason explained by the writer else btc ceases to exist

This coins are very good for investment and it is truly profitable but i need to pick up the bitcoin which i could believe bitcoin will show a huge of price in the future that many of us will gonna surprise. Bitcoin right now is continue rising up the price and it is time to buy.

Depends upon the quantity of your investment, you can choose one according to your investment. Choose investment plan either for Ethereum or Bitcoin will be productive because we have been trying both of them since long. Make sure to invest in Bitcoin only if your investment amount is big and furthermore do the same for Ethereum because you have this choice in case of low investment amount. ETH I consider as asset number two!
Actually, too I use differently when i decide to invest in an ICO it is dependent on ETH. And when I hold for long time then it is BTC. I think btc will always look first and we all know that the location of btc is always coming to the first place.

I don't rule out this possibility, but it will be very difficult as BTC has the first-mover advantage and is widely regarded as more decentralized. Ethereum on the other hand has smart contract capabilities, though this competitive advantage may disappear due to smart contract capabilities added to layer two and three of bitcoin in the future.
I don't think that there is any chance whre ethereum would beat btc out. They both are very different coin and the use of these coins are different. Ethereum is a platform based token and Bitcoin is a payment portal based token. So yes there is problem about speed in Bitcoin but if you saw the whole market ethereum is also not a coin with good transaction speed .there is many other coin available which have greater bspeed but it doesn't mean they will cross Bitcoin with marketcap. So it's hard and it's worthless to campare them.

When Bitcoin lightning is implemented it would instantly make Bitcoin more faster. And with similar tech like sharding that ETH is implementing, Bitcoin can too do that and be equally as fast as ETH if not more. So I do not think speed is that issue, as the tech matures, speed will come on its own.

For me there is no problem with the speed of bitcoin, so the number one in my cryptocurrency portfolio is Bitcoin ETH I consider as asset number two!

Lol, it's been years since we heard this that ETH or any other whatever so-called Bitcoin-Killer will kill BTC but let's not forget that in all these brags they do, they all still depend on Bitcoin for survival so how then are they gonna kill it. There's no crypto without Bitcoin buddy!

I think the current leading mentality is that eth is not money. I think everyone should understand that. It is a platform for token development. of course it has other functions but that is what it is mainly right now. maybe when sharding is complete it would function as money much better. But then it will always support token creation, and what form of money creates money? makes sense? no so I choose btc just because it is pretty close to being real money as any regular fiat
It's natural if bitcoin has a delay, because there are very many users in the transaction. I don't think that ETH will beat Bitcoin, and for me it doesn't really matter. Because both (BTC and ETH) benefit me in every trade that I do. There is no perfect project, but developing every time is mandatory and great.

I've only seen at least 100 people in the last 1 year asking the same question. The same answer was valid in all of them. Bitcoin is the most important coin for this market! And none of them will pass. Also in Ethereum, I think it always has a second importance!
I wouldn't care about the speed / confirmation speed for bitcoin because it's comparable to any other fee. It has been an issue for most but if you will really understand the issue, there are solutions that has being done for this like segwit and lightning network.
I don't feel comfortable with this type of comparison, is like attempting to compare two parallel lines, ethereum is very good and had completed 100,000 transactions in one second but btc has influence, great name and very high popularity.
Btc transaction speed are been working on and that is why we are having direct btc forks in order to lightened the network.

There are advantages and disadvantages for both coins, maybe speed of confirmation, but always there Bitcoin is the starter of this crypto world and Ethereum is the king of altcoins.
With rising dapp and token transactions eth also has this issue but still it is far better when compared with bitcoin regarding speed of transaction and as far as i know eth developers are working to resolve it this year and similarly for btc there are some solutions being worked out like some third party applications like lightning network so i think both will stay where they are and no one is going to beat the other one.

One focus on DAPP, one are more off a type of "commodities" or a suits more off a anti inflation tools
Ethereum supply is much more higher than BTC
Both have different use case
For using, of course i will prefer to use Ethereum because of the low block time tho

Even if there are many advantages and features that ETH performs well over BTC.
BTC will always be regarded as the first currency of its kind, no matter what.
BTC is the foundation which provided many other cryptos to be born over its principle.
I too used to think this way that ETH will surpass over BTC but I'm wrong.
Even if ETH will be widely used or more popular in the future, BTC will always remain the crown jewel.
