I recommend NEO because NEO is a platform with a purpose and it can compete with ETH maybe better.
Ethereum and NEO are both high-profile altcoins in the cryptocurrency space but I think ETH is better than NEO
I think NEO will not be able to defeat ETH forever. 
Invest in both. They can both thrive, and even if thats not the case you can use one as a hedge against the other. I think ETH the best
I would buy some NEO and hold some ETH.
NEO has great links with Chinese government, has a promising looking ecosystem developing, produces gas and has some good dapps being launched on it.
ETH has a good future too with plasma, sharding etc so I wouldn't get rid of it all

Neo is currently being talked a lot, and i can say because it really catch many eyes and has a great potential to invest.
But we can't ignore the fact that ETH also promising and already become alternative after bitcoin, and if i had to choose, maybe for safer choice it will be eth. But if you want to try something new, why don't try investing for Neo? I don't think it's a bad choice.

neo smart contract is better than ethereum smart contract but most of altcoin use ethereum blockchain. in the future neo will become more populer than ethereum.
I have 2.3eth and I would like to ask if i should hold my eth or buy 21 NEO. I also have ADA|BTC|XLM should I invest more in those also or just go for one full investment
NEO is indeed quite interesting coin and nice to have. in addition, NEO also experienced a pretty good development a few weeks. because the NEO is striving to advance and grow. so I prefer the NEO that works harder. 
Both open source projects, Turing are completed and have wide community support with people catching up for their teams.

I do not really know about neo coins, but almost all altcoins have fallen in value in recent months. I think you can study it first before it is really speculated. if I personally prefer to ethereum even though its current value falls. if you see the opportunity ethereum greater than all existing altcoin
Between the two i would go for NEO because it can collect NEO GAS just for leaving it in your wallet. Both will go up when the market recovers, so if you're undecided then do a 50/50 split. Ethereum is good as you can invest in erc20 ICOs, but for hodling i'd pick NEO.
I suggest much better to hold ethereum and invest ethereum for now becuase the price of ethereum is deep.
I would actually not think of buying 21 Neos in exchange for Ethereum. I understand that Ethereum prices are actually very down but you I guess you should just hold up the Ethereum because there is a huge possibility that at like the end of 2018 the prices may again soar up 1k dollars as it was before the drops. If Ethereum rises up again then you would have more profit compared to the profit you would make by buying Neo, the highest price that Neo has had was 50$ and for Ethereum was 1.5k$.

In these two currencies, I think that ETH is more concerned about the current market situation, ETH is more prominent than other currencies, it can be seen that the coins are coin Current trends in Bitcoin and ETH are strongest.
Without any doubt, I choose NEO, the technology is similar, but the Etherium is behind by 1 stage. NEO more promising coin, especially if you look at the price category.

Ethereum is much more expensive than NEO. but the development of NEO is more stable than Ethereum, therefore, I prefer NEO than Ethereum. other than that Ethereum a few weeks this shows a pretty worrying decline.
The price of neo has also been falling, and the price of eth has been falling. In comparison, eth is much better than neo, both in terms of development and number of fans.
Hold 1.15 ETH and buy 10.5 NEO. This is the best thing you can do.
