yeah you'll lose a lot at 60 TDP if you move to zcash.  I'd stick with ETH as I'm running three 1070s at 85 TDP on Equihash and I have 510 watts at the wall.

I have been mining ETH at around 30-32 MH/s on each of my 6 GTX 1070's for a total of 180-185 MH/s using only 60% TDP, clocking me in at about 768W of usage. Power is a very big deal for me as it costs 0.43 KWh in Southern California.

I've tried mining ZCash but I've noticed significant drops in hash rate when I reduce the TDP to 60%... which leads me to my question

Is it because Equihash is reliant on GPU Core Clock while Ethash is reliant on Mem Core Clock that makes Equihash far more power hungry? Can't decide if I should switch over to ZCash
