I completely agree to that. Recently I have seen a ico project that is using a crypto to buy properties in the other country. It is still yet a ico proposal project and may seems to undergo many trials. But if that project will be successful in the future. Surely the demand on it will be huge.

In my opinion it is really far, or at least not so close like we would like it to be, because many nuances in the legislative and financial governmental systems should be made in order the cryptocurrency be accepted like the real asset for payments like that.

I don't think for that, the most important thing is crypto can be used as a legal payment instrument.
Because basically luxury goods and cheap goods are only different in price. Of course if it can be legal it will make it easier to transact anything including buying food. The problem is only on transaction fees.

It happens on Bitcoin I have read three to four years ago that a guy bought a house with his Bitcoin so it's not a remote possibility that it could happen, maybe one day we can see it happens in ethereum and other cryptocurrencies it's not a remote possibility at the phase we are in now.

It takes some time for this to happen. Just forget that you are holding crypto and see 3 years after. Probably you will get a double market or even more than that fold of your investment. Try to see also the market price of the crypto for the past years and see that the market price has relatively gone so high and folded its market price many times.

There is no need to buy a house using ethereum and there is no problem using it to buy, as long as you find someone who is willing to sell his house for ethereum the price doesn't really change. Instead of paying one million dollar from your bank account to his, you will be sending one million dollar worth of ethereum from your wallet to his wallet, you can pay taxes on that in many countries as well so its not a problem at all.

Moreover, if you want to find a way to keep track of who owns where and what not than blockchain can help with the land ownership type deal and just get a government blockchain software that will keep track of who owns where that way, much better than the current cloud computer software they have.

Blockchain can really be helpful for many of the governmental offices if required basic infrastructures will be developed along with proper usage will be identified.

It could be happening soon. Real estate market has been one of the target of some start up projects that I know. They are still in development phase so I am guessing they can produce a fully functional platform in two or three years time.

I think it will be some time before we see ETH being accepted in such a capacity. Bitcoin is already so, albeit scarcely. There's little need for more than 1 crypto to be accepted as a means of payment for such large purchases. It's great that just 1 is. You wouldn't normally be able to buy a house in any currency other than the one that the owner lists it in.

But the real problem is the crypto needs a lot of support from regulators. It will never happen without any support by the regulator. i have even heard someone that bought his house use litecoin as a payment system and it has worked smoothly according from the news.

I think it no needs to takes a long time untill 10-15 years, even now you can make it happen but with condition the seller of a luxury house understands about Bitcoin and wants to accept Bitcoin as payment tool (peer-to-peer transactions between cryptocurrency users)
