Actually I avoided using link in that email, sent micro amount to the address and received back 25 ETHB tokens. Roll Eyes
So basically only that link in email looked like scam...

It is definitely a targeted attempt to fool you, it is a free tokens so why do you need to lose your whole portfolio because of this stupid act, I think this is one of the reasons why some people says MEW is not secured they is nothing a wallet provider can do when you keep clicking links like this

IMPORTANT: Just received email from EtherBTC Airdrop with weird link that brings me to MyEtherWallet, where I should unlock my wallet and send a tiny amount of ETH to Airdrop address.
Can it be a scam???
Please advice!
I think it's the same as the one I was phished with. The URL was similar to myetherwallet and  I was tired so didn't check the whole URL but it was a phishing site. Glad I was just starting back then. It's most likely the same as what I have encountered.

Ohh and here's the details they kept sending in the email.

EtherBTC.io -- ZYS

Henderson NV 89012
USA

If you look up this address it's this:

Basically it's a virtual office that's just a monthly subscription service.

WILL SKYPE CHAT FOR 3 MILLION COMPOUND COIN
Just received this email today and the instructions made me say " Wait what?" Lmao I'm not doing that! I just flagged it as spam + unsubscribe. SCAM.

Airdrops aren't that complicated and if you have to pay for them then they aren't airdrops lol. Also if you have to unlock your wallet? 100% SCAM.

I felt something was fishy but I did like the concept of combining BTC with ETH so I thought what a unique idea!

It appears this was a scam all along.

There have been several airdrop scams out there. One was a game coin and it wanted you to use a mist or mew wallet. So I received the airdrop ( on their site) but it wouldn't let me withdraw the coins. So I figured I had to play first. I played a few games and then won their minimum to withdraw. When I hit "submit" it gave me an error that stated something about "request to send eth" failed which was odd since I wasn't trying to send them any ether. lol. So yeah another day another scam.

It's definitely a SCAM. Never open any suspicious links from emails. I hope you didn't unlock your wallet. If yes, then your wallet key is stolen, so withdraw all you money from that wallet immideately to another wallet. And remember that if you should send money to get an airdrop, then it's definitely SCAM.

Thanks for the advice mate. Of course I didn't unlock my wallet.
I have special MyEtherWallet bookmark in my browser and I never access MyEtherWallet other than through this bookmark!
