Yeah actually being just 11 days from the ICO the volumes are impressive. #1 on EtherDelta and soon liqui and the likes might welcome mth too if they are smart.

Already MTH is listed on Etherdelta, I think after ICO many contracts are listing in Etherdelta because the coin is generating huge volumes before listing into bigger exchanges. Ethereum based coins should always list first in EtherDelta only.

Volumes on ED are ok for decent cryptos (MTH, OMG..). The real problem of ED is the extremely slow refresh rate.. orders sitting there are already traded and it is a frustrating user experience.

In my opinion ehterdelta is not so good because of the low volume !
tux
Are you fairly sure? EtherDelta has a decent volume and behind EtherDelta are CoinExchange, C-CEX, Cryptopia and Novaexchange based on its volume.  For an exchange who does not require any identification verification and even no email registration, is it pretty fine compared to others.

No one know where and why this happened. I tried few weeks ago to use this site , etherdelta, but it's really hard to use for first timer. Even I can't find any tutorial how to trade in etherdelta. Prices here are sometimes very high expect to other exchanges

It's very simple: Anyone with your address and private key can access your account. So, if you entered your private key on the scammer site, the account which that key belongs to is indeed compromised.
You don't need a techy, it is as simple as that. Private key known = account compromised

You can try this out yourself: if you have a private key to some account, simply select the "private key" option on MEW to access it, and you can see that you actually have access Wink

Yes, obviously if you have the account and password you can log in any account.  But I was talking about your MEW account, that IF it is linked to you ED account, and if your ED account is compromised, that it's at least POSSIBLE, that your MEW account is also compromised.  The hacker should not have access to your MEW account because he wouldn't get that private key from your ED account.  But, perhaps a very techy person would know a way how to back door into your MEW account from the ED account which is linked to it.  That's what I was talking about and that's why I admitted I'm not techy enough to know if that is even possible.

etherdelta (dot) gitnub (dot) io is 100% scam, don't login on it. Your private key is private, don't share it with any scam sites.
https://etherdelta.github.io/ it's the right one. Check the URL, not the https thing. It does not show that it is safe to give your private key.
Ive been nearly be fooled on those letters gladly my eyes were too active to see whats the difference regarding on the link.I didnt expect that this is an another desperate moves by those hackers creating another phishing links for the sake of money. For those noobs out there better watch out on this link and always log-in on the legit one which is being already mentioned above.

It worked perfectly fine on my end. Just be careful because there are a lot of phishing sites circling around recently. Anyways I hope you got to log back on to the correct site and none of your coins got lost too. And double check the sites you are logging in or in my case I bookmark the correct site so I won't have to just type them and get me chances of logging in to a scam site.

Yes, that's how you do it.  And, as I said, I too am concerned that if the scammer has access to your etherdelta account, that they could could conceivably access your MEW account.  However, they do NOT have your private key to your MEW account, so I doubt they could log into it  BUT, since they can get into an account that is directly linked to it, MAYBE they could.  At least that's how I see it.  We really need someone more techy than me to weigh in on this though.

But, if your 2 accounts - etherdelta and MEW are linked, and you DID log on to a scam site, then you gave the scam site owners your etherdelta key/password.  With that, they can transfer anything and everything you have in your etherdelta account into one of their own accounts and you cannot undo that transfer.  By doing that, all those ether/tokens will also be gone from your MEW account, obviously.  But if you happen to have some tokens in MEW that are not traded on etherdelta, those tokens MAY still be safe in your MEW wallet.  But like I said, to be safe, I'd still open a new MEW account.

AGAIN, ANYONE WHO LOGGED ONTO ANY OTHER ETHERDELTA SITE OTHER THAN ETHERDELTA.GITHUB.IO SHOULD IMMEDIATELY TRANSFER ALL OF THEIR  ETHER/TOKENS TO EITHER:

1) A NEW MEW ACCOUNT IF YOUR 2 ACCOUNTS (ETHERDELTA AND MEW) ARE LINKED to be totally safe
2) IF THEY ARE NOT LINKED, THEN JUST TRANSFER THEM IMMEDIATELY INTO YOUR MEW ACCOUNT OR ANYWHERE ELSE - GET THEM OUT OF YOUR COMPROMISED ETHER DELTA ACCOUNT ASAP.

THEN OPEN A NEW ETHERDELTA ACCOUNT AND NEVER USE THE OLD ONE AGAIN.

But my point is, how can your MEW account be linked? Do you mean if you choose at EtherDelta to import an account and selected your MEW account to be imported?
So no separate account for MEW and ED?
Because if you mean that, than indeed your MEW account is compromised as well

There is a way to add your MEW wallet to your etherdelta account, you can search for how to do that online.  But if you don't know how to do it, then you obviously haven't done it, so don't worry.

Yes it's true that the owners of the scam site will only have your etherdelta key/password (again - only if you logged on from one of the fake/scam sites).  But, if it were me, and if I had my etherdelta account directly linked to MEW wallet, I would still open a new MEW to be safe.  Probably they can't get into the MEW account, and maybe even for sure they can't.  But I'm just not techy enough to know that for sure that they cannot.  So, if it were me, I wouldn't chance it and would open a new MEW.    jmo

IF YOU HAVE YOUR ETHERDELTA ACCOUNT TIED TO YOUR MEW
What does that mean? How can your EtherDelta account be tied to MEW? Or tied to any other Ethereum account?

The danger is that if anyone logs onto a fake/duplicate site, they gave that fake site owner their key/password.
But the scammer than only have the private key to the EtherDelta account, not any other

I think they crash whit ddos real EtherDelta (PROBABLY NOT HACK, SITE DOWN, newbie) and do phishing, then if u log in phishing site u fked, if no i think no problem.

Is my opinion.

etherdellta.github.io is back online.

I fear that there was a hack on this site and hackers crashed it so that they could set up the fake sites through gitNub and etherdelta.com.  For anyone who logged onto either of these sites, to be safe, TRANSFER OUT YOUR COINS AND TOKENS IMMEDIATELY!!  IF YOU HAVE YOUR ETHERDELTA ACCOUNT TIED TO YOUR MEW, I WOULD ALSO OPEN A NEW MEW WALLET AND TRANSFER EVERYTHING INTO IT.  THEN OPEN A NEW ACCOUNT AT ETHERDELTA LATER  ONCE THIS HAS ALL BEEN RESOLVED.

If you logged onto one of the fake etherdelta sites but you do not have your etherdelta account linked to your MEW, then just immediately transfer your coins/tokens into your MEW (and you don't need to open a new MEW).  Later you can open a new etherdelta account.

This looks like a huge heist in process to me.  If I were you and had logged into one of the fake sites, I would do as I suggested above, immediately.  Sure I could be wrong, but if I'm not, you risk losing everything in your etherdelta account, and if you have it linked to your MEW, you could possibly lose everything else in your MEW wallet too.

ANYONE READING THIS, DO NOT LOG INTO ANY SITE OTHER THAN THE ORIGINAL ETHERDELTA.GITHUB.IO  UNTIL THIS GETS RESOLVED.

Hello, can anyone access to the new etherdelta website with your previous details? I think many people are saying they can access their previous details with the new site if not we can lose all our money in there.

I can, and it seems to work. Surely, my account could still be compromised "under the hood". I can also access using MEW.
Just to be sure, I emptied out using MEW

Guys, you should stop using etherdelta immediately unless it's clear what's going on.

This makes clearly no sense. https://twitter.com/whosyodaddy13/status/906060320296230914

Deleting the source-code from github clearly makes no sense.

I suspect all their accounts including twitter are compromized.

Anyone can write a domain on it's hand if you pay them well.

^ All this above is true unless someone comes up with pretty good reasons why they suddenly remove source code and domain.

That would be a big one.... maybe, everyone should try to empty their accounts?

There is any offically statement from the Etherdelta team about leaving github? and make a new site here https://etherdelta.com/

Here is their official statement: https://twitter.com/etherdelta/status/906027544696168449

Don't know why they left github when the new website too has the same interface and is still not user friendly. They could have easily made it similar to other exchanges. The same old interface with a new domain name.
I also hope that why they are releasing new sites but using the same interface. It would be great if they update their interface because it looks confusing for new people to this site.

EVERYONE!!! HOLD ON!!!

EtherDelta is up, not problems, they are porting their exchange to: https://etherdelta.com/

They are leaving github.

So, no worries, all if fine at https://etherdelta.com/
There is any offically statement from the Etherdelta team about leaving github? and make a new site here https://etherdelta.com/

Anyone use EtherDelta? I transferred about $3.5k worth of CoinDash token there tonight and now the site is offline... Is it hacked? Whats going on? I thought decentralized exchanges were suppose to solve this!
Last two days ETH is too slow and EtherDelta based on ETH blockchain. Probably it's very much ICO's started in the same time.

Its currently offline. Dont worry about your coins cause they are already in your wallet not etherdelta wallet so they are safe.
because of this we need etherdelta Smiley

I don't think so, what about us that have place order on the exchange, because to do that you need to move the tokens away from ones wallet to exchange wallet.

Please do anyone has their twitter link, just to confirm update on the current state of things

I'm quite surprise that Ive found out etherdelta is offline. When I open the site earlier it is offline and I hope this will resolve soon. Because there are many traders use this exchange and it is alarming if suddenly they will become scam.

I kept checking if the URL is right and then searched for any complaints about the site being down and found this. It's strange that the site is not appearing offline but it's missing. Hope it gets back online as even I wish to trade.

I cant access it either. I don't think you should jump to conclusions about hacks though. Give it time, even the large exchanges have problems.

Besides if we are lucky, maybe they took it down to upgrade the U.I. into something a little more reasonable.

I like your theory a lot better than mine.

If it hacked it's because the market cap doubled with the addition of Monetha.

Monetha makes up more than half the total volume on EtherDelta and it was just added yesterday, making for a gloomy correlation.

If a veteran user of EtherDelta is reading this, please share your thoughts. Has it ever gone down? Should it be easy to hack into? Is it possible someone could have exited with all the funds?

the last time i used etherdelta, it seems too confusing for me to traded in that site, because every time we want to sell or buy, we need to make sure that in our account must have gas for the fees. if we don't have any gas then we can not make any activity. my suggestion is keep save in myetherwallet or search another market and send your token into other site than using etherdelta.
maybe people use that site because the coins is not listed in other market. but yea every activity need gas and it seems laggy. and the bad thing that i know is if we put wrong price, it will stay like that, even the price is 0.03, if you sell on 0.003, you get the 0.0033 rate

It says all systems operational on the github page. 100% app availability.

Not jumping to conclusions, but could it be a hack or exit?

I still can't load it up. got some Monetha and Aventus there at a nice rate. I hope this is just temporary.

Does anyone know if this is a common occurrence with EtherDelta?
