Etherdelta had been attacked and hacked before. It was hacked for the second time if I did not know in 6 months.
It's a serious problem. I do not think anyone will use it anymore...
You right it is a serious problem. but I never keep my tokens there. I use this exchange only as an exchanger.
I advise everyone to do the same

I was read an article that EtherDelta made the announcement in a series of tweets, warning users that a hacker had temporarily hijacked its DNS server, enabling the attacker to send users to a fake, malicious version of the site.
EtherDelta was said that users who accessed the exchange using either MetaMask or a hardware wallet are “completely safe” from the phishing attack. The company added that deposits from users who never imported their key on the fake version of the website “should be safe,” but traders may want to consider moving their funds to a new wallet address as a security measure — and reevaluate their decision to import their private keys directly into a website.
The problem has been resolved by etherdelta and everyone can used the dns safely and that will be directed to the real site of etherdelta. This such a small problem in the crypto but for those are judging about the decentralized thing of etherdelta and remember the amount still safe. But they are not even realizing it.
Other cryptocurrency-related companies also suffered DNS hijacking attacks in the past year. For example, the website hijacking incidents of Classic Ether Wallet and the Etherparty ICO website are both suspected to be DNS hijacking events.
The above events happened in August and October i knowr, respectively, but security-related incidents took place at other cryptocurrency-related sites this month as well. For example, NiceHash, the world's largest cryptocurrency mining market said hackers stole over 4,700 Bitcoin (around $62 million) at the start of the month, while South Korean exchange YouBit (formerly Yapizon) shut down yesterday and filed for bankruptcy after getting hacked the second time this year.
With Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Monero prices going up, both phishing and DDoS extortion attacks have intensified this year.

Can we return to EtherDelta? There is lack of communication since the hack? are the issues resolved? My coins are safe post-hack. I even withdrew my ether through MyEtherWallet.

On twitter they said the exchange is back again, I have a few coin on ether delta and  I didnt lose anything yet, but i want to be more secure so I am going to withdraw all my coins on the exchange.
I tried in etherdelta earlier and it went good. All my coins are intact and I just withdrawn my token all and it went just back to normal. Yes maybe it is the best move to withdraw our all token to be safe.

I'm using EtherDitten only when I'm trading with less known coins and for that purpose EtherDelta is ok for me.
I honestly never really liked the way how you're connected to their site. I think they should do the improvement here.
I'm usinh MetaMask plugin and wallet for this purpose only.

I don’t think this is a problem that can’t be solved. Etherdelta is a big exchange website and it should be able to solve this problem without any investor loses any coin. Otherwise all investors will move to other exchanges.

This is very annoying. People are accumulating money saved by the money they earn. But it is also difficult to take measures. We need a stock exchange and deposit money there. I think they have to be guarantors.

It seemed a bit fishy to me so i never used it. Better off trading on Binance and bittrex. With binance it is cheaper to trade simply by purchasing their binance coin and using that to cover the fees with a 50% discount Grin

I moved most of my tokens off Etherdelta after I heard this, I think everyone's tokens are safe.  just ensure you are using the regular site.  The thing I don't like about Etherdelta is that it takes gas for any attempted buy... this is not fair, as they are making tonnes of ether from virtually no sale.  How can this be fair at all?  You miss out on a buy and it still charges you?  That is a flawed setup only benefiting Etherdelta.

It was already difficult to operate in Etherdelta. Now, this situation was very annoying. Belle becomes an opportunity for IDEX. Some investors come there and the stock market grows.

The smart contract was never hacked, your tokens are safe. Unless you bought during the period their DNS server was hacked you will be fine.

Indeed, there's no coins were lost during the attack and I heard some news and articles that even their coins were frozen or some would say it was gone but after 48 hours they're all set and nothing was changed and developers are already fixed the issue so there's nothing to worry about because Etherdelta is now back into business.

Etherdelta isn't different from bittrex.com and binance.com, they're both had attacks recently and caused massive coins stolen on their watch so Etherdelta is now back on business and already fixed some issues as well.

You work for EtherDelta...? It's a bad exchange, no way around that my friend.

When Etherdelta was hacked nobody noted or reported that their coins were gone or stolen, Etherdelta DNS was compromised so only transaction delay and congestion are the effects of the attack but I think there are more people are giving a green light for Etherdelta because it is now back on Business.

Actually people that tried to transact on the Hackers phishing website (only lasted an hour or two) all were stolen from. He stole about 200-250 ETH. I feel as if 95% were unaffected though.

Once again guys, if you used MetaMask and also did not try to transact during the attack (lasted only an hour or 2) then your coins are totally safe. Take them off EtherDelta for future reference though. It will be hacked again more than likely. Worst security of any exchange. Don't know anything about coding, just saying they get hacked a lot.

I also read that its a real attack and that wallets have been robbed. Does someone know how much damage has been done in total? How much ETH has been stolen? How many tokens have been stolen?
I must admit, this really shattered my trust in EtherDelta. I always thought as it is a decentralized exchange that this was the safest way to trade. But turns out that its also not secure. Hope that the ED team will fix the issue and make sure that something like this cant happen again!

The real EtherDelta is back up now, I get no phishing warning. As long as you used MetaMask and also didn't try to buy/sell during the attack, all of your coins are still there. And you can actually withdraw without even touching the EtherDelta site. Plenty of tutorials on youtube. I got mine off using MyEtherWallet.

I have checked my 3 etherium wallets and all seem fine. I had logged in etherdelta with their private keys and there is not a problem for now.

good news) but as I understnad the keys are not stored on the exchange, am I right? So, the funds actually were not in danger. The hackers could just lead you to another domain and website and there if you type your key, take anything from your wallet.

Etherdelta is back online but i need to wait the further information on this. Fortunately i only have a little eth there.

There were people who had all their coins in there, and this is getting worse, a lot of people who were just entering to the market deposited all their ethereums in there.
That is preocupant, but it is obvious that they haven't been hacked, they just stoled everything.

Yes. ED is still hacked. You should not trade now. It will cost you money. You should use metamask to check if the web is secure or not. Do not try to log in manually. Maybe ED will come back soon. Their staff is working hard. ED was hacked and I lost 1 ETH. unlucky  Sad

As  many  of you know  it seems that Ether delta  has been  hacked?

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/etherdelta-has-bn-hacked-2622226

I have  bought  one wee ago  A LOT OF  PRL  coins

Are  they in danger?

I am  afraid  to go to  the  Ether delta  website and check...

Which  kind  of attack has been?

DNS   spoofing?

IT'S   A DECENTRALIZED EXANGE,  HOW  COULD HACKERS STOLEN OUR COINS  IF  WE DO NOT LOG IN into the phising website?

I bought  PRL  coins  one week ago

AM  I   in danger?

The problem already fixed and you will be able to use etherdelta again, but to make sure your amount still safe and you can try to check your wallet with block explorer. if that was still on there and your amount still safe. Etherdelta DNS was hacked.
