I completely agree with you that ethereum is the most expensive blockchain, that's why I have switched to alternative chains such as Polygon, Binance Smart chain, Near, avalanche. The thing is that they also have a big ecosystem and a big community, so I can find projects for all my need, and I don't need to pay so much. For example, on polygon it costs me less than 0.01$ to run a transaction.
Now it is worth saying Blockchain is expensive for ETH because the price is already very high, but in the past who said ETH is an expensive Blockchain ? I don't think so, and BSC will also be said to be expensive in the future when the price of BNB is almost on par with ETH, so it's just a price cycle on the main coins so they become expensive.

Eth network is too costly that I can only say thanks to other networks like bsc, polygon, honestly am kinda glad other blockchains are available and not just eth, otherwise, the situation would have been very unpleasant for most people, some of my erc20 tokens in my wallet are just chilling out now pending whenever this high gas fees of eth will be resolved.

I agree. Until now the most expensive transaction fee is ethreum. Only sending tokens to a central exchange requires at least $14. If you want to trade on swap exchanges. Like 1inch or uniswap can even spend $80-$100 for the total overall cost (ranging from gas). And keep going up every day.

Ethereum has lost it but you know what? The whales would do anything to protect their self, they wouldn't let anyone depreciate their networth because they have come far. Ethereum is overpriced and I pity the poor ones buying it.
The gas fee problem is not today, when you intend to swap with any wallet ( don't know about Metamask) you will have to pay double of the gas fee before your transaction will go through and when it went through, it will return the left gas after your transaction must have fine true and sometimes the miners just take and swallow everything.

It is not profitable to trade tokens in the Ethereum ecosystem, because the cost of an exchange on decentralized exchanges is from $ 50 to $ 100 or more.
If you change for amounts of $ 5,000 or more, then for you this is a small fee for decentralization.
It is not easy to handle too expensive fee like this. Even if I have a good capital and make a transaction at $5,000, $50 or $100 as transaction fee is still bad cost.

This expensive fee put projects have to build up bridges between ERC20 and other chains that can provide lower transaction fees for users. ERC20 is still a big chain and I hope upgrades in future can help them to scale up their network as well as reduce transaction fee successfully.

Optimism, Arbitrum and Polygon

I know about Polygon but did not know about Optimism or Arbitrum. Thank you for this info and I am sure will do my research on these projects.

This is a very high commission for a trader, but many users change their minds when they lose their deposits due to their being blocked on centralized exchanges.
You have to pay for decentralization and freedom.

I will write 2 more sites so that you can watch statistics L2 solutions
https://l2beat.com
https://polygon.technology/stats/
In these ecosystems, the commission is less than on the exchange, and only you are in control of your funds.

Over the final few days, I have confronted numerous issues whereas transacting a number of tokens. Even after I over and over deposited in a couple of wallets, at one point the exchange was planning to halt. That's what is in Uniswap. I have kept 20$ due to extra fee. But the expense has to be over 50$. So has been hindered to swap a couple of times. As of now I think the Ethereum stage is the foremost costly.
What do you think?

Yes it is that's why using Ethereum Network nowadays makes you bleed more money just in fees, and IMO, it is unacceptable I remember what the Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin said way back in 2016 that Ethereum was created to empower the people, but it was a contradiction on what's happening today in reality, and I think Mr. Buterin has forgotten what he said, Anyway, what can we expect Ethereum founders are already millionaires that's why they don't care anymore just my opinion.

the fee for ethereum is indeed very high, that is the thing that most people complain about. because of that, people nowadays use BSC more than ethereum. I've also felt the same way when making transactions at Uniswap. the fee paid is very expensive.
In my opinion, Vitalik Buterin should immediately address this issue. Well, this is completely beyond the crypto principles I've ever heard of, namely fast transactions with low fees. however, if not handled immediately, I think sooner or later all projects will migrate to other networks.
The team, Vitalik Butterin knows this already and perhaps, this was an issue years ago but unfortunately, even the hard fork never change it, we are still paying much just to move a few bucks. For now, it becomes uncertain and the only solution the people see now is to use the BSC platform and it is greatly working. Maybe, we couldn't think about lowering the fees, we have to accept the reality that we are in this situation. And even to complain have no use at all and it found no actions from the team.

even things like this are very normal now because their gas is really crazy Cheesy
the last time i transacted there i spent at least $120 just for gas and until now i have never made a transaction again because for me it is a fairly large nominal.
regardless of the price, which is indeed suitable, I don't really care because it's still a large amount and I'm avoiding it for now. At least until their gas completely subsides

Ethereum transaction fees are currently very high compared to other blockchains. I think Ethereum was only developed for whales when it comes to investing. Many crypto users are currently complaining about the transaction fees. In this case, the UNI swap platform is also not the right choice in doing the exchange. Even though Gwei changes look low, swaps or transactions also require high fees. Unfortunately, if we fail to make a transaction, then the amount of Ethereum will be lost, and we are forced to increase the amount of Ethereum.

The last time i used this blockchain was the first quarter of this year when the transaction fees were not so crazy. Sometimes the transaction fees are slowly increasing to surpass $100. I can buy a bunch of pizza with it. If you're dealing with uniswap and the tx fees can cost you even more than $200 for a single transaction. that's why little shrimp will not able to use this blockchain anymore and i think that you should also retire from using this blockchain and move to the another blockchain.

Ethereum blockchain was only for the whale. You will be a poor guy if you keep forcing yourself to use this blockchain. Think about this and that makes sense to leave this blockchain as soon as possible to avoid the big fees. You have bunch of alternative blockchains available in the market.
I hear what you are saying and I for one have ceased using that chain especially Uniswap for a long untill recently when it turned out that, that was the only option I had for the transaction I wanted to make so, what happens if the tokens/coins that you want to trade at the time are only listed on uniswap? and are also not one of the multi-chain ecosystem projects? that probably means you are stuck with the high fees on Uniswap or just HODL the coins/tokens forever or until such a time IF the project list on any other CEX.

It is, there's also a time that I have to pay more than what you've paid for just for some transactions that I've forgotten to do when the fee wasn't that much.
Good thing is that some tokens are supporting other chains and exchanges as well. So, if you find erc20 as much for the fee, check out maybe it is being supported by another chain for you to save the fee.
Choose the cheaper one for the fee especially if your transaction isn't that much and you're just earning a few bucks from those transactions.

Why don't you use other chains and other AMMs if you find fees over Ethereum expensive? It's not even a secret anymore that it's even higher than sending over the Bitcoin network.

Why don't you just hodl it on your metamask wallet? The solution is by hodl your it in your metamask and then send to the cex when you wanna sell your token.

I have kept 20$ due to extra fee. But the expense has to be over 50$. So has been hindered to swap a couple of times.
If that's about swapping and it needs almost $100 for each swap in uniswap.

As of now I think the Ethereum stage is the foremost costly.

I have the same thought like you. Ethereum was a blockchain that dedicated to the wealthy people. The fees was totally non sense when it comes to the sending and swapping the tokens in the ethereum decentralized exchange site aka uniswap. So many complaints but ethereum 2.0 is still far away. that's why i migrated to the L1 and L2 solution.
