Hi, I know a lot about ML and digital currency + Ethereum. I would like to learn more about your allegation and discuss it. That is the first time I've heard something like that about Ethereum. Can you tell us more about it and why you make this claim?  If you don't want to post it, private message me, email [email protected] or skype me 'digitalcurrency' Thank you for your time and consideration.

Yes.  That was a bit disturbing....There wasn't a bunch of protest about that either which was also disturbing.  There have been a few other insider dumps as well that go ignored but....the project is recruiting some innovative talent and attracting the attention of some deep pockets.  I wouldn't dismiss it too lightly at this point.

untill there is some real world usage. and not just internal circle jerking to grab funds from outsiders. im dismissing it. but theres nothing stopping me gaining interest at a later date should it actually ever have some real world effective use.

how slow can they possibly be to catch on

makes me wonder if they even understand Bitcoin yet

During your research what kind of evidence did you find that singled out the Ethereum platform, above any other platform, as a money laundering operation?  I mean, isn't there a bitcoin gateway in between there somewhere?  I think that there is a legitimate utility for having a platform that has the capacity to run decentralized applications on top of a ledger system...."purely a money laundering operation" is bit of a stretch, isn't it?

i think bitcoinpro's brain fart may have expanded on the initial premiss of the premine that happened and then sell-off by the main people behind the scenes.
before a few of them main people left ethereum to go onto other projects..

DON'T FEED THE TROLL

Stay safe, everyone

i learned early on if you keep this particular troll (bitcoinpro) entertained on just one topic.. he does not get bored to saturate the forum with multiple topics of random brain farts that he cannot explain where his opinion first came from.

its much easier to keep him entertained on this one topic and keep his mind in a rational thought process to explain this one random brain fart.. because on other days i have seen him post atleast 10 differing subjects that were complete random thoughts. and it just led to utter confusion by many.

personally i think bitcoinpro smokes some weed and spends hours envisioning many random hallucinatory scenario's and due to a lonely life he then has to make random statements on this forum. so lets try keeping him entertained on this one topic before he meanders to something completely different (as the past has revealed)

even Fank has enough brains to lower the size of the txt

Why do you think ETH is a money laundering operation?? Is it any different than any other crypto in terms of its characteristics??

If yes, then all other crypto currencies are scam. This is not true.

But government departments first needs someone to claim it as scam or money laundering facilitator. Then only they can start investigating.

But if someone reports about ETH scam, then the government will most like shut it down without knowing how the technology can make magics in some one's life.

Why would you call Ethereum a money laundering operation? Do you think people are moving illegal money through Eth and then converting it back to fiat? I hope you have some proof of this statement, because this might turn against you, if you cannot supply proof.

I think it is a pump n dump scheme, but we will need to wait until it plays out to the end, before we will know if this is true. The excessive hype created around it, makes me uneasy about the whole thing.

US justice need a motive
US justice need a victim
US justice need a perpetrator

even some HYIP/ponzi/pyramid scams continue right up until the point a victim makes a court claim, explaining their loss

so until the US justice sees that a crime has been committed where there is a victim.. then its just an innocent game and not actionable.

EG
drug dealers can deal drugs. if the motive is legitimate (have a medical license) no crime has been committed.
but if that licenced dealer was to be the proven cause of someones death or injury. then there is a crime
but if there is no victim there is no crime.
EG
drug dealers can deal drugs. if the motive is not legit (proven witness of a illicit street deal) then there is a crime
but unless they can prove that it was illicit by having the drugs in evidence. the dealer can simply say he was getting change for a parking meter
but if there is evidence. then there is a crime.

in short if you think something is illegal and you have personally suffered loss, and you report it.. then justice can be served, should you have enough evidence to back up your claim.
until then, its just a game of monopoly
