Don't accept help from newbie accounts, you can get scammed.
Try to have a conversation only in the thread so if someone spot something suspicious can warn you.
Do not send any files or keys. TeamViewer or similar requests will most likely steal your coins.
be very careful.

or from you, i am waiting for all the newbies that have a view point on this to write to me

It's up to you to decided what to do, I just felt I should warn you because many newbies already got scammed with the same scheme. I won't risk my account reputation for any sort of illegal or unmoral actions against other users. I've been here more than 4 years and build my reputation, which has more value that someone's coins.

As i said before, I post my guidance on the forum so anyone who thinks I have bad intentions can review my post for fraud. This is what it think is the safest way of communication.

I understand that many no longer want to use HDD, but it should be borne in mind that SSDs have a much smaller write resource, and they are almost impossible to recover, it is best to have a system Ssd, and for important files to have Hdd, it can serve you for decades, especially since it will be protected by the fact that any viruses and similar programs attack the system drive.

somehow true!

This tutorial explains how to recover your account in Metamask.
To recover your account, you need a wallet seed.

This is why it's important to store passwords and seed phrases in an offline place, such as in a notebook. Because this incident needs to be anticipated. Maybe some of the suggestions above you can do as a way, even though it can't be fully recovered. Because what I know to recover it there is only two private key or with recovery seed.

A fire was the least thing i would expect in a new house. And this is false, the best way to store your coins if you don't want them on exchange is on multiple devices and locations.

Hello

2 months ago my computer decided to burn. from 2 ssd's one is safe but my password manager is on the other one which is beyond any recovery.

Most of my eth is kept in metamask ~half of my lifetime earnings in eth. In a very obvious way I don't have my seed phrase, but i have my vault data. From metamask team I learned that i can recover it using my vault decryptor this https://metamask.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360018766351-How-to-use-the-Vault-Decryptor-with-the-MetaMask-Vault-Data.

Now the a lot of money question, how do i brute force it or is there a software for it? i know it's 11 as length alphanumerical with $ and dot. what is the solution i might have here? obviously trying to brute force it is the only thing that makes sense.

i know this is bitcoin support page..maybe i get a help from you guys
Maybe this can help you.

Man, how the hell you are not read the thread -_-

Did your things is also safe? If shit happens came to you then everything is also possible, your notebook/book is get burn like some accident in your house or some anime like termites or others to eat your book.

@OP so you already try to use recovery software for the SSD that stored your password manager? brute force is a little bit complicated you need to high resource of GPU as well to find it and that's take a lot time. This is one of the example of brute force : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuhtaCgY0wc

I can manage good hardware have many friends with mining camps so they had a lot of power put a lot of power into it.

Hey OP, I'll try to look at it, when I get some free time. If you manage to extract the hash of the password then I can help you install hashcat and bruteforce the password. I did experimented with mobile wallets before, never tried Metamask.
It's not a big deal if you know the structure of the password, and of course it depends on the hardware you have.

And how come you don't have a backup of the password manager and even worse, the seed?

ProTip. Never store important data on SSDs.

I don't know anything about the first parts of the password, only that I always add to the end @ or . how can i get in touch with you?

Weirdly metamask has the vault in the file which basically would contain my private keys but the main problem is that is encrypted using the password i use....

Why don't they have the private keys or alternate seed saved inside of that file is something i can't understand.

maybe i should wait for the quantum computers to be able to recover all the eth i have, only in one wallet is over 20 eth... Sad

please dont for others, don't post only for signature cents.

Before you proceed with anything else, try to calculate of how probable you can brute-forcing your password. Say does your password has an uppercase or lowercase, etc. Try to be as specific as possible regarding your password. Then I guess you need somehow a way to calculate it, does brute-forcing will work or not.
