So you bought 7x1070 and you dont have any clue how to mine?
Good luck...

Well I have somewhat of a clue, I dabbled in some computer languages and can put together and take apart computers so I know my way around computers alright but it is my first time mining which is why I'm asking these questions.....

Cool thanks for all the info guys (I still have much reading to do  Smiley ) one more question though, I was reading on here that asus z170 mobo have a hard time running more than 4 gpus is this true? Would I need to get a different motherboard to run 6 or 7 gpus?

Compute bound algorithm like Equihash, which uses both - core and memory clock, unlike Ethash which is a memory-bound algorithm rely mostly on the memory clock.

https://whattomine.com/coins is the place where you can find info on which algo is more profitable to mine. Currently ETH is so profitable that even Nvidia cards can get more from ETH, but sooner or later, mining other algos which are compute bound will provide you with more profits.

What do you mean compute bound?

What motherboard are you using?  Also, why Ethereum?  GTX 1070's are are much better at other algos.  If you want in on Ethereum then mine something better and exchange for it later.

I'm using the asus z170 pro, I read gtx 1070 were good for ethereum and when you put the hash rate (32mh) into a calculator it is the most profitable for ethereum. What do you suggest mining?

Thanks for sharing this video mate it was so very helpful for someone like us(OP) to have an idea how this system was build and have some idea with rig and what would be the basic knowledge to have when setting up this type of mining rig. If I only lives in the place where electrify is cheap I also want to try this one but I'm living where electricity cost is like gold in a monthly manner.

Hello Everyone Smiley

So I just got into mining and I'm in the process of building a 7gpu (evga gtx 1070) I was wondering if you guys could point me to any good guides to help me getting the mining rig setup with the pool software, etc (everything I need to do on my computer once it's built and running)

Any help would be appreciated thanks
