How hot a card gets depends a lot more on how much clearance you have in front of the fan(s) of that card than on anything else - IF all of the cards are in the same rig and all of their fans are WORKING correctly and set to the same speed/profile.

My #2 card in my only 64-bit machine gets noticeably hotter, 'cause it's got a lot less fan intake clearance than the other 2 cards (stupid motherboard designers don't allow space for dual-width cards WAY too much of the time).

Gpu5 looks like its overheating.  Try mining without it.

Thanks, I have disconnected it and so far so good. I notice some GPU's are alot hotter then others, is this normal? Like 15/20 C between them. And what is the max. Temp for these cards? Thanks for the help Smiley

only the first should be hotter, the other should be cool, the first is hotter because it is probably near the cpu and probably the one thatt he system use for the graphic setting for the os etc...

If it is in the tower case, the first one is hotter because it is on the top. The heat goes up in the case.

Every GPU is different.  If the fans on gpu5 are still good, try removing the heatsink, cleaning, and applying new thermal paste.  I use Tuniq TX-2 paste and the articlean 2 part cleaning kit.  This will void your warranty, so RMA it if you still have warranty.

I have fixed many GPUs by replacing the fans and repasting.  A functioning card, with good fans, that shoots the temp up fast then kicks off at 80+ C is usually caused by bad thermal paste.

Yeah the temps are going up then tank.

Just disconnect it and then run the gear.

Really need some help with this,

Here is a screenshot of where it goes wrong, hope that clears things up.

This is my .bat file:

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
ethminer --farm-recheck 200 -G -F [pool url] --cl-global-work 16384 --cl-local-work 128

Thanks in advance.

My mining rig isnt functioning properly any more, when I start the command prompt it starts mining,
but after 5-10 minutes the hashrate starts decreasing, and the miner finally hangs on message; gpuminer0 workLoop 1.

Im using Radeon R9 280x cards.

Anyone knows what could be causing this?
