Tbh I don't think there is even a competition between which is the better network amongst the two, Solana may currently be considered as a competitor to the ethereum network, but times without number there have been one new competitor or the other and in the end they just fall miles behind ethereum. The Ethereum network has a great ecosystem that continues to develop at a very fast pace, just like Bitcoin it looks more like the only altcoin that can be said to be a good long term investment plan, I'm afraid if Solana is to come close to eth, it'll take them quite a long time to do so.

Hello,
Ethereum is better for the future or Solana?
I found following information from the Forbes and FT websites:

Quote
“Ethereum does a better job of supporting development on its blockchain and will have a more lightweight proof-of-stake mining model than bitcoin [which] means that it can potentially be the backbone of web 3.0,” said Daniel Polotsky, the founder of crypto ATM operator CoinFlip and panel member, who predicts ethereum’s growth may even surpass bitcoin’s over the next decade.
...
Some 13% of panelists predicted solana will eventually overtake ethereum as the primary DeFi platform.

Quote
“[Ethereum] was not built for high throughput, and developers know that, whereas other layer-1 solutions such as solana are,” said CoreLedger AG chief executive Johannes Schweifer, who thinks ethereum will lose as much as 66% of its market share in the coming year as it struggles to solve its scalability issues.

Quote
Buying interest has “exploded” in derivatives contracts traded that give investors the right but not the obligation to buy ethereum at $15,000 in March next year, according to Adam Farthing, chief risk officer for Japan at crypto specialist trading firm B2C2. Farthing said the timing of these bets suggested that investors were optimistic about a similar decision for the second most-traded digital coin.

Is future for the Solana?

Thank you.
It is clear that ethereum is better in the future compared to Solana, ethereum has good prospects for the long term, so to make the investment much safer and less risky in the future, currently ethereum is in the top 5 position in coinmarketcap, security level and future the future is much more profitable than with Solana, considering the long-term prospects for Solana are not so sure.

if you look at both of them, they have advantages and disadvantages, for example, like ETH at this time it still can't cope with keeping people from using high and expensive transaction fees, but Solana on the other hand has advantages with transaction fees that are much cheaper than ETH, but I haven't done any research. on the solana project, I just heard the opinion of some of my friends it seems that making solana transactions is more complicated using it than ETH, but would love to try it later

No, still Ethereum is in the first place with an ecosystem that is widely used by big projects and it's just that the cost is too expensive but until now no other ecosystem can beat it including this booming Solana.

I think the future for both is very bright, seeing that many projects in the Solana network are successful and bring huge profits, it means that the investor interest in the Solana network is really high so this demand continues to flow and many people want more from their products.

On the one side, Ethereum is more decentralised as there are more miners in it than validators in Solana. On the other hand, solana is cheaper. I can't judge which of this project will be more successful in 5 or more years, as Solana is comparatively new, and I couldn't interact with it enough so as to estimate how good it is. Anyway, it is very popular today and I think that it will be in top-5 soon.

I do agree that Eth is fully decentralized project whose main stregth is distributed community of developers who keep on developing the Eth blockchain. While in case of Solana:
The Solana Foundation is the only entity developing core nodes on the blockchain. This means Solana has a central point of control that reduces the network’s overall decentralization. (Source)
Having said so, Eth is an established alt coin while Solana is emerging altcoin. That's the primary reason why I prefer eth over solana.

I'm a fan of Ethereum but I would definitely choose solana over Ethereum because of insane gas fee for buying tokens that are only available on ETH smart contract erc20, and the worst father of all Dex is uniswap, imagine buying tokens with 94$ worth of ETH, crazy!

Solana is considered an emerging competitor to Ethereum. Vitalik Butorin's cryptocurrency is the leader among blockchains with smart contracts, however, its network is often overloaded, which leads to increased fees for transfers. At the same time, Solana offers faster and cheaper transactions.
DeFi projects running on the Solana blockchain continue to gain popularity. The total blocked value (TVL) of assets, reached a record value of $12.7 billion while on Ethereum it is 150 billion of dollars.
