I'm trying to incorporate the ether profit formula in an excel worksheet. Does anyone have a formula that works?
I saw an earlier  post about the formula and could not get results that were anywhere near correct.
Upon having quick research, I found this thread stated about the Ethereum (ETH) mining profit formula, it might this is what you are looking for, and here is a  quote that I think is correct and relevant towards your question.
I don't think you need block time in the formula.
$/day = (hashrateMHs * block rewards *1,000,000 / difficulty) *60*60*24*ETH price.

I also didn't know if I'm right, I just guessing your question of what it is due to its unclear details.  Well, good luck with your mining, and I hope you will come back give us an update.

You can use these tools and website for the calculation.
https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/eth
https://etherscan.io/ether-mining-calculator

Mining or staking?
If it's mining, then it varies on many many factors and i wouldn't bother calculating.
I can tell you this, about a year ago, with 180Mhs i was getting around 0.1 per week
He's up for mining.

I'm not concerned with staking, just PoW.

Yes, he may be talking about ethereum staking, but it may also vary on the price of ethreum at the same time there is a lock day he may need to consider,
also, why do you need to make a formula if it's already free made on the website for staking?
or you just want to check if the calculation is correct?

This, there could be formula around, but it is not etch in stone, as it can change from time to time depending on how many and how big the pool staking is. Might be good to have rough estimates though so at least you have an idea how much you are going to make per APR.

For mining, based on my experience, 2 years ago? I would say < 1 eth per month. But I'm not sure today because I have sold my gear during the bear market.

Today,  if I have 500/Mh of hashing power, how much will I earn from mining on a monthly basis, ignoring power costs.

I'm not concerned with staking, just PoW.

Btw, what's the return on staking Etherereum 2.0?  Has that been determined yet?

Thanks,

Joe
Ethereum pow mining will be over in few months time so it is better that you start looking for alternatives if it is your primary source of income.
As far as staking eth is concerned that returns are expected to be around 10 percent per annum.

You should be come up with a bit clear question. If you are referring to ETH 2.0 stacking profits, you can check https://ethereumprice.org/eth-2-calculator/

Can you please be more clear about your question?
What do you mean profit formula?
Do you mean then staking feature of Ethereum? Where you need a particular amount of Ethereum to become a Ethereum validator. If so, check this  blog post of Ethereum: https://ethereum.org/en/eth2/staking/
