It did upgraded to constantinople but has anyone realized how it didn't created this immense marketing or at least hype that it had on the first try ? I mean it is such a weird thing that last time ethereum decided to have a hard fork the price went up, everybody talked about it, there was bunch of topics here, all the news crypto places had pages of articles every single day and basically a bunch of chaos ensued until it was later decided to put on hold.

Now, it passed but we do not see it at all and it happened like it was a regular Wednesday maintenance on a regular thing, felt like we had hard forks every week on ethereum, which is not the case. I do not understand why people are not more hyped about this because it means we are getting closer to proof of stake ethereum very soon.

Because it had already made the pricing when its first announcement (delayed one). This is to be understood. Ethereum is currently in preparation. Improvements in progress. So there is no effect on the price yet.

Is it safe now to do transactions from the ERC-20 wallets? It is the 5th day after the Constantinople Hard Fork.

I saw a msg a few minutes earlier that said to "avoid transactions in the following days, means after the fork."
Transaction are to avoid during any block chain project hard or soft fork but it safe to send or make any ethereum related transaction and you're going to send the token to your exchange account find out if the exchange are not currently suspending ethereum related transaction.

It was a mind game now I think.

Where I saw that msg in TG group of a token which I'm hodling... that token was pumping yesterday.
So I think the owners did not want the hodlers to deposit in exchange and trade out so that the token doesn't get interrupted from being pumped.

Later I checked the explorers, tons of transactions took place at that moment including that token.

in my opinion this is one good step, but actually what ethereum needs is not this kind of thing.
what ETH needs is only the clarity of the roadmap and a C.E.O
Lol it looks like you never watched ethereum roadmap. Go to the ethereum github page and read the latest roadmap, don't be a lazy person. ethereum dev has been thinking about all of possibilities that can be implemented in ethereum platform.
I also wonder why he said they need to clarify the roadmap when the ethereum team have already informed the public their planned in making the project more outstanding.

It is good news that this has happened successfully and I could still remember that it is because of this that ethereum went down in 2018 December when it was postponed.  But now that the hardfork has happened I now believe that in some days and months to come this hardfork is going to push the ethereum price upwards and as such some of the ethereum tokens.

The excitement or hype eventually faded after the delays. I myself am happy that it finally happened but I am more interested on what is to come which is the ethereum 2.0.

Congratulations to the developers that everything went well! However, I am surprised, that the world of crypto has passed very calmly next to this event. I thought that after hardfork will start a storm in the media and prices will start to jump up like crazy. hmm maybe it's just the silence before the storm..?

Although it is a big event and upgrade regarding overall performance of the eth network but at the same time it is boring and disappointing to see almost no activity or volatility around this event as i was expecting big movements for eth before and after the upgrade but seems that overall bears effect is still alive in the market and eth still seems to lack that fomo required for big movements.

Can't believe they missed the chance to call this upgrade Istanbul, now that would've been the perfect name Tongue
Jokes aside, I'm glad they issued this fairly quickly. Now I hope they don't find any other serious security issues.

I am not one of those who would believe whatever comes from these banks.

Cryptocurrency is not a threat to them now because of the bearish market but I remember clearly that in the year 2017 when Bitcoin was skyrocketing along other coins they were greatly threatened because most people removed their moneys from banks to go invest.

These big banks started fighting bitcoin and was really against it adoption because they fully trust that the total adoption of Bitcoin with the level to which it rising would cost them to lose a lot of customers

I believed you don't understand the concept behind the fork because the last time I checked constantinople and St. Petersburg was the same fork but different name.

I'm surprised when you said what the ethereum needs is not this kind of thing when TPS seems to be the major step back for ethereum project last year and I don't think the CEO need any form of clarification when he has already analysis their planned last year.
